Hezbollah Heir Apparent Safieddine Likely Eliminated in IDF Airstrike, Israeli Defense Minister Gallant Says

Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant indicated that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah’s likely successor, Hashem Safieddine, may have been killed in a recent Israeli airstrike.
Defence Minister Gallant told senior Israeli military officials that the Iran-backed terrorist group has been rendered “headless” after the elimination of its long-time chief, Nasrallah, and his likely successor, Safieddine, the Israeli media reported Tuesday.
Safieddine, a long-time Hezbollah operative, and Nasrallah’s cousin was targeted in an Israeli airstrike on a terrorist stronghold in southern Beirut. The mainstream media widely regarded the 60-year-old terrorist as a ‘potential successor’ to Hezbollah chief Nasrallah after he was killed in an Israeli airstrike nearly ten days ago.
Hezbollah, while denying their projected chief has been taken out by Israel, has recently admitted that it has ‘lost contact’ with him since the strike.
Reuters reported the Israeli defense minister’s statement:
Israel’s defence minister said on Tuesday it appeared the replacement for slain Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah had been “eliminated”, in what would be another big blow for the Iran-backed group in Lebanon.
Defence Minister Yoav Gallant made the announcement about Hashem Safieddine as Israel began ground operations in southwest Lebanon, expanding its incursions to a new zone, and as Hezbollah left the door open to a negotiated ceasefire.
Safieddine, a top Hezbollah official, was widely expected to succeed Nasrallah. Safieddine has not been heard from publicly since an Israeli airstrike late last week.
“Hezbollah is an organization without a head. Nasrallah was eliminated, his replacement was probably also eliminated,” Gallant told officers at the Israeli military’s northern command centre, in a brief video segment distributed by the military.
Chief of Iran’s terrorist Islamic Guard-Quds Forces, Esmail Qaani, who was reportedly accompanying Safieddine, has also been missing since the Beirut strike. Qaani became head of the Quds Forces — Iran’s global terrorist arm — after his successor, Qassem Soleimani, was eliminated in a 2020 drone strike ordered by President Donald Trump.

Hezbollah logistics chief killed in Israeli airstrike
The Israeli military on Tuesday also confirmed the elimination of Hezbollah’s logistics chief, Suhail Hussein Husseini. The slain terrorist, killed in a Monday’s airstrike in southern Beirut, was responsible for weapons transfer from Iran to Hezbollah in Lebanon. He was also overseeing the development of precision guided missiles for the terrorist group, Israeli media reported.
The Israeli news website YNET reported:
The IDF confirmed Tuesday morning the targeted killing of Suhail Hussein Husseini, the head of Hezbollah’s logistics network, in an airstrike in Beirut the day before. The strike was carried out by Israeli fighter jets with precise intelligence guidance.
According to the IDF, Israeli Air Force fighter jets carried out the operation using precise intelligence guidance provided by the military’s Intelligence Directorate.
Husseini led Hezbollah’s logistics unit, which manages the group’s budget and organizes its various operational systems, the IDF said. He played a key role in facilitating arms transfers between Iran and Hezbollah, overseeing the distribution of smuggled weapons to different units within the terrorist group, and managing transportation and resource allocation. Husseini was also a member of Hezbollah’s Jihad Council, its senior military forum.
The logistics unit under Husseini’s command also included Hezbollah’s research and development division, which is involved in the production of precision-guided missiles and the storage and transportation of weapons within Lebanon.
Israeli Air Force (IAF) continued hitting Hezbollah terror targets in Beirut. “Overnight with the direction of IDF intelligence, the IAF struck a Hezbollah weapons storage facility along with additional terrorist infrastructure sites in Beirut,” the military disclosed in a press release Tuesday.
Hezbollah steps up rocket barrage into northern Israel
Despite losing most of its top commanders, the terrorist group on Tuesday ramped up rocket attacks on northern Israel. As of Tuesday afternoon, “approximately 135 projectiles were fired by the Hezbollah terrorist organization from Lebanon into Israel,” the Israeli military announced in a statement.
“A short while ago, the IAF struck several Hezbollah launchers from which projectiles were fired today toward the area of Haifa,” the military said. “Over the past few hours, IAF fighter jets have continued to strike Hezbollah terror targets in Lebanon, including launchers, terrorist infrastructure sites, and anti-tank missile launchers.”
Hezbollah death toll mounts as IDF’s southern Lebanon offensive enters 8th day
As the Israeli offensive in southern Lebanon enters its eighth day, the IDF tanks and infantry units exacted a heavy price from Hezbollah, killed hundreds of Shia-Islamist fighters, and dismantled their terrorist buildup along the Israeli border.
The IDF's 98th Division is summarizing a week of operations in southern Lebanon, reporting that its troops have killed over 200 Hezbollah operatives in several villages adjacent to the Israeli border.

“So far, the soldiers have eliminated hundreds of terrorists, dismantled several underground terrorist tunnel routes, dozens of terrorist infrastructure sites and combat compounds where Hezbollah had embedded hundreds of weapons along the border, which were located and destroyed,” the IDF disclosed Tuesday.

He never even had a chance to cash his sign-on bonus check!
Congrats to his successor whoever that may be! You’re next.
Good riddance to genocidal, goose-stepping, evil, Islamofascist and Muslim supremacist rubbish.
BTW, look at the photo of this scum giving a benediction to the rifle, or, praying with it pressed to his forehead. The evil, stupid and collaborator useful idiot, leftist dhimmis and Dhimmi-crats truly don’t understand the nature and beliefs of Islamofascist and Muslim supremacist ideology.
That’s no benediction! (hat tip to St. Benedict of Nursia)
Good
Hezbollah intern surprised he got promoted to regional manager over the weekend – and he just finished his internship
When this happened to Al-Qaeda in Iraq, their behavior became more and more vicious, and also less intellectually capable. The locals turned against them because they were willing to kill all around them.
So, this is NOT the guy who declined the honor? LOL
they’re good a parades and wearing gay uniforms. fighting, not so much…
Glad to see so many Hezbollah leaders taking advantage of the IDF Early Retirement Program.
