Biden: ‘The Only Garbage I See Floating Out There’ are Trump Supporters

“…just the other day, a speaker at his rally called Puerto Rico a floating island of garbage?…The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters.

NBC News reporter Gabe Gutierrez tweeted that President Joe Biden referred to former President Donald Trump supporters as garbage.

Gutierrez asked the White House for clarification.

The spokesman claimed Biden meant the comedian who jokingly called Puerto Rico garbage.

Uh huh…

The White House, in walking it back:

“In a transcript of Biden’s comments provided by the White House, his team argued there was intended to be an apostrophe in ‘supporters.'” [New York Post]

In other words, when the White House quoted Biden’s comment, they put it this way:

“The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporter’s.” [Newsweek]

This doesn’t even work, grammatically. “Supporter’s” is possessive but also singular. That makes no sense no matter how you try to frame it. How dumb do you think people are?

The bottom line is Joe Biden is an angry old coot with dementia who is, subconsciously at a minimum, trying to sabotage Kamala’s campaign, and thankfully doing a great job of it.

As for the White House’s transparent CYA attempt, the only things sh1tlibs know how how to do are lie and cheat.

Christopher B in reply to FelixTheCat. | October 30, 2024 at 6:54 am

Well, “supporters’s” or “supporters'” kinda works but all that means is instead of calling Trump supporters ‘garbage’ he’s just saying they are responsible for it.

CKYoung in reply to FelixTheCat. | October 30, 2024 at 7:03 am

Even Col. Bruce Hampton playing Morris during his role in ‘Sling Blade’ knew you didn’t actually SAY the punctuation marks: “Leavin’ his soul (dot dot dot) partin’ the waters, of the medulla oblongata (bububububbaaa) of, mankind!” “Dots look good on paper, you don’t sing ’em anyway, you’re just showin’ your true Aries color now.” Joe knows you don’t SAY the apostrophe, so ya’ll stop showing your true Aries colors. Joe Biden and Col. Bruce Hampton as Morris. Two modern day lyrical poets… wordsmiths.

Biden is trying to end run SCOTUS and cancel more student debt so you tell me

      Milhouse in reply to diver64. | October 29, 2024 at 10:46 pm

Whatever he’s doing, he’s not trying to “end run SCOTUS”. SCOTUS has not expressed any opinion on whether student debt should be canceled, because that’s none of its business.

It has said that it isn’t authorized by a specific statute, so he isn’t relying on that statute. It may one day say that some or all of the various statutes he’s now relying on don’t authorize it either, but there’s no a priori reason to suppose that, so until it tells him otherwise he’s entitled to assume he’s reading those statutes correctly.

Ironclaw in reply to Milhouse. | October 29, 2024 at 11:17 pm

Cut the crap. The pedophile has been b**** slapped three times by the Supreme Court over this student debt issue telling him he doesn’t have the right to spend money without congress. He keeps trying to do the same damn thing through a different route and they keep slapping him down for the same reason. People like you are why people hate lawyers

Milhouse in reply to Ironclaw. | October 30, 2024 at 1:42 am

That is not true at all.

First of all, he has NEVER CLAIMED he can spend money without congress. The court never had occasion to tell him he couldn’t, because he never tried. The moment you come up with that straw man you are a liar.

Second, the Supreme Court has never said one word about “the student debt issue”, and it CAN’T say anything about it. All it can EVER do is interpret individual statutes.

And it has done so ONCE, not three times. He interpreted a statute as authorizing debt relief, the court read it a different way. That’s all. He accepted its decision and has never since tried to act on his former interpretation of that statute. He is completely free to rely on other statutes, as his lawyers find them.

He has not yet been reversed on any of other statutes, but if he ever is then BY DEFINITION it will not be “for the same reason”. “Statute A doesn’t authorize action X”, and “Statute B doesn’t authorize action Y”, are NOT THE SAME THING.

Milhouse really wants everyone to forget that he admitted being a registered Democrat when he wasx castigating everyone for not doing so in order to have a voice in a blue area.

Places don’t stop being blue when everyone’s a Democrat, democrat.

Milhouse in reply to Ironclaw. | October 31, 2024 at 2:06 am

Demonspawn, go back to Hell, where you belong.

You know very well that how a voter registers has nothing to do with who they vote. I am registered to vote in D primaries. I am not a Democrat, have never been a Democrat, and it is a vile slander to call me one.

I have only ever voted for one Democrat, and that was Bill Thompson against Michael Bloomberg. Bloomberg is a Democrat who ran with an R next to his name only because that saved him running in a heavily contested D primary. Thompson, for a Democrat, is almost sane, and I’d rather have had him be mayor than Bloomberg.

E Howard Hunt in reply to Milhouse. | October 29, 2024 at 11:23 pm

That logic would apply to the most deliberate, cynical misreading of any statute to do an end run around what is obviously intended to be forbidden. The goal of endless delays would be achieved by
the continual invention of false readings on yet other statutes.
I do not believe that our system is so constructed that such a childish ploy can succeed. That means necessarily that the judiciary has been corrupted.

Sometimes truth is best ascertained by logic and indirect methods than by amateur lawyering and pettifogging.

Whose intention do you claim it was to forbid debt relief? Certainly not SCOTUS, because it can’t forbid it. It’s none of SCOTUS’s business. We don’t even know whether the justices actually approve of debt relief; it would be wrong of them to tell us. So whose intention are you talking about?

In any case, the law is not about intentions, it’s about the text and its public meaning. But supposing we were to refer to intentions, we’re dealing with several different statutes, enacted by different congresses, so each time we would have to refer to different people’s intentions.

And just about every government action involves interpreting a statute. That’s what courts are for. In every case that focuses on the law, the defendants have their reading of the statute, the plaintiffs challenge it, and the courts decide. The government says US Code section 123456 authorizes us to do X; someone sues and says no, it doesn’t mean that. And the court says what it really means. How else could it possibly work? Courts can’t give advisory opinions, so the government can’t ask them in advance what the law means.

Treguard in reply to Milhouse. | October 30, 2024 at 1:31 am

Oh fark off, Millhouse. There is NO statute that says he can do it, he’s tried to invent it – end running the Supreme Court, who has told him that – three times now.

Ironclaw is right, this kind of argument is why Shakespeare made that crack about lawyers.

Milhouse in reply to Treguard. | October 30, 2024 at 1:52 am

Bullshit. How do you know there is no statute that says he can do it? How could you possibly know there is no such statute? Certainly no court has ever said so, and no court ever can.

The Supreme Court hasn’t told him anything three times. It has told him exactly ONCE that ONE statute he was relying on doesn’t mean what he thought it meant. That’s all. It has not expressed any opinion on the other statutes he’s relying on now, because it has not heard any arguments about them.

Even if it eventually does find that those statutes don’t authorize it either, he (or whoever is then president) will be fully entitled to look for more statutes that might authorize it. That is how it works. That is how it has always worked. That is how it’s supposed to work.

Milhouse in reply to Treguard. | October 30, 2024 at 1:53 am

Oh, and Shakespeare never made any crack about lawyers. Anyone who thinks he did is dangerously ignorant and should not comment on anything related to it.

Milhouse in reply to Treguard. | October 30, 2024 at 7:41 am

It looks like we have a lot of dangerously ignorant morons here, who think Shakespeare make a crack about lawyers. You’re all making a mockery of yourselves and of this whole forum. Anyone who saw this would think, oh, Legal Insurrection, the home of morons.

Sultan in reply to Treguard. | October 30, 2024 at 11:05 am

Milhouse is technically correct but fails to see the point.
The point is that Biden keeps stretching and stretching to achieve what he wants to do–give away a trillion taxpayer dollars to buy votes from students. Like the legendary “Whack-a-Mole” if he gets whacked in hole #1 he will keep popping up to get whacked again and again because he really doesn’t care what any particular law means, just whether it can be used as a cover for doing what he wants to do.

Milhouse in reply to Treguard. | October 31, 2024 at 2:09 am

Of course Biden’s motives are terrible, and his policy is terrible. That should go without saying on this forum.

But you are the one missing the point. The point here, the only point, is the accusation that he is defying the Supreme Court, and that said court has “bitch-slapped” him three times and he’s still “end-running” it. That is just not true. SCOTUS has reversed him only once, and he is in full compliance with that decision.

henrybowman in reply to Treguard. | October 31, 2024 at 4:47 am

          “Let’s kill all the lawyers
“Let’s kill all the lawyers” is a line from William Shakespeare’s Henry VI, Part 2, Act IV, Scene 2. The full quote is: “The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers”. It is among Shakespeare’s most famous lines. Wikipedia”

I can’t believe you are unaware of this, Milhouse.

Milhouse in reply to Treguard. | October 31, 2024 at 6:42 am

Indeed it is one of Shakespeare’s most famous lines. What you seem not to understand is that it is not a crack about lawyers. On the contrary, it’s a powerful statement for lawyers. It shows that Shakespeare held the legal profession in very high esteem.

People who think it’s a crack against lawyers show that they don’t understand it at all, probably because they’ve never read the play, or even just the speech that it’s in.

Much like people who think Juliet on her balcony was looking for Romeo and wondering where he’d got to.

henrybowman in reply to Treguard. | October 31, 2024 at 4:32 pm

The guy that tried to force people to take an experimental, poorly tested vaccine that in retrospect we know didn’t even work.

Obama: “bitter clingers.”
Hillary: “basket of deplorables.”
Biden: “garbage.”

They really do hate us. Prepare yourselves accordingly.

Harris gives a speech that is pure Orwellian in subtance and delivery while Biden in a simple utterance tells the truth. If there is not a landslide next Tuesday, there sure deserves to be. These are the haters among us, and the ones that will actually continue building the police state. Yet some are spellbound with TDS to fear the bogeyman and to justify how they will refuse to accept the will of the people. They call themselves democrats.

There’s a landslide going on right now. As of yesterday, 43% of this county had already voted – and it went 3-1 Trump the last two elections.

In America 2024 it seems too easy to manipulate the process. Then Harris will do what she says Trump will do. And if the election results proves honest, some will resist. It appears that people have started to catch on to the way they were duped. Fingers crossed.

A Puerto Rican comic made a joke about Puerto Rico, and that gets them upset.

Biden gives a speech calling half the country enemies, in front of a backdrop that would have had Leni Riefenstahl asking for it to be toned down, and they don’t blink an eye.

Nobody’s upset over anything. It’s all fake outrage. Puerto Rico has a spectacular garbage problem because it can’t be trucked anywhere. If you’re a local apparently you know about it.

I can’t say that I ever cared what leftists/democrats had to say about anything. They can call me all the names they want and it doesn’t bother me in the least … because I don’t give a sh*t what they think about anything. They are morons who are only out to lie, cheat, steal and, ultimately, destroy everything of beauty or value or utility. They are among the sickest, most depraved people who have ever walked the Earth and they all know it – which is part of the reason they hate themselves (their only legitimate opinion) and why their lives are nothing but misery, emptiness, and evil. The world is better without them and they are well aware of that.

Milhouse in reply to henrybowman. | October 30, 2024 at 2:08 am

He actually called it a floating island of garbage. That means it’s not an actual island at all, just a lot of garbage floating in the ocean, like the way most people falsely imagine the so-called “Great Pacific garbage patch”.

(Spoiler: The “patch” is completely invisible, both from space and close up. It’s just an area of ocean with a slightly higher concentration of microparticles than the rest of the ocean, and there is no reason to be concerned about it or to do anything about it.)

Shirley Manson was offended by Biden’s comment.

Seriously, Puerto Rico has a landfill problem that is ruining its lovely beaches. If Kamala wins, she might promote 40B for cleanup, which will go to her friends and family with no result.

If Trump wins and the PR crowd asks, he might see to it that it is cleaned up quickly, for a whole lot less.

Both of them have a track record.

Dolce Far Niente | October 30, 2024 at 11:54 am

Purely OT, but here’s that Shakespeare quote about lawyers for someone who was claiming it was a lie:

“The first thing we do is, let’s kill all the lawyers.” It’s said by a character called Dick the Butcher in Act IV, Scene II of William Shakespeare’s Henry VI, Part II

Another person displaying their ignorance of one of Shakespeare’s most famous lines. It is not a crack against lawyers, and if you think it is then you show that you haven’t understood it at all, and probably also think Juliet on her balcony couldn’t find Romeo and was calling out to him to come out of hiding, and that Lady Macbeth was trying to put the dog out for the night and annoyed that he wanted to stay inside.

Hint: What kind of person is Dick, and what has he got against lawyers?

Well, in a way, he’s right. I am of no use at all to him or his democrap party members, so I might as well be garbage – to him.

The problem is that the stand up comic was joking and Biden is not.

We must keep in mind that, in his demented state, Biden is just saying what he has been thinking for years – but was reluctant to say or write when he was the D candidate and/or was admonished to not say during the D campaign for his replacement. Just Joe being Joe … his anger against DJT AND Harris so apparent as he retaliates.
