Afghan National Arrested for Plotting Election Day Terrorist Attack

The DOJ charged Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi, 27, for allegedly plotting an Election Day terrorist attack in the name of ISIS.
The Afghan national resides in Oklahoma City. He arrived in America on a special immigrant visa on September 9, 2021.
The co-conspirator (CC-1) in the indictment is an Afghanistan citizen juvenile located in Moore, OK, about 30 minutes south of OKC. Tawhedi’s wife is this person’s sister.

The FBI found Tawhedi planning the attack via Telegram with a man using Abdul Malik as an alias. A previous investigation showed the FBI that “Malik had facilitated recruitment, training, and indoctrination of persons who expressed interest in terrorist activity, including persons who wished to acquire firearms and engage in jihad and ‘operations.'”
Tawhedi told the FBI that he thought Malik had an affiliation with Dawla Islamiyya (another name for ISIS).
The men spoke about Tawhedi purchasing weapons and bullets. Tawhedi also told Malik that he and the CC-1 made moves to liquidate both families’ properties to have money to move back to Afghanistan.
They bought one-way tickets to Kabul from Dallas on October 17, 2024, “for Tawhedi’s wife and child, and CC-1’s mother and siblings.”
Tawhedi, CC-1, and CC-1’s dad did not have a ticket.
“As charged, the Justice Department foiled the defendant’s plot to acquire semi-automatic weapons and commit a violent attack in the name of ISIS on U.S. soil on Election Day,” said Attorney General Merrick B. Garland. “We will continue to combat the ongoing threat that ISIS and its supporters pose to America’s national security, and we will identify, investigate, and prosecute the individuals who seek to terrorize the American people. I am deeply grateful to the public servants of the FBI, National Security Division, and U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Oklahoma for their work to disrupt this attack and for the work they do every day to protect our country.”
A search of Tawhedi’s computer showed he sought out ISIS propaganda, such as terrorist pictures, including celebratory pictures of 9/11/2001.
Tawhedi’s Gmail account had an alert from TikTok regarding an account linked to his email. The subject line showed Tawhedi’s TikTok’s user name with a ninja emoji and a black flag like the ISIS flag.
TikTok banned the account.
Evidence also Tawhedi transferring money to a charity that “fronts for and funnels money to ISIS.

Yup, this sounds remarkably like one of their “sting” operations a-la the Whitmer “kidnapping plot”.
Some agent goes online trolling for nutjobs, finds one, gets them to agree to some harebrained scheme and then arrests them like they’ve just saved the world from a terrorist mastermind.
It’s so much easier to create your own criminals out of some dimwit patsy and then arrest them than it is to track down actual threats (who might shoot back).
And it wouldn’t surprise me if we found out that the DOJ “leadership” were sorely put out that this sting caught up an actual immigrant with delusions of jihad rather than someone named “Billy Bob” who flies his US Flag upside down.

German government has flown in about 40.000 people from Afghanistan since the US withdrawal, 8000 of them so called “Ortskräfte” – people who helped German military in Afghanistan. What’s even worse: our Secretary of State coerces German embassies to issue them visas (e.g. in Pakistan) – even if the local embassy has proof that these people are terrorists…
