Walz, Sen. Tina Smith Use Bakery That Closed During His COVID Crackdown to ‘Own’ Vance

Walz, Sen. Tina Smith Use Bakery That Closed During His COVID Crackdown to ‘Own’ Vance

Maybe don’t use a business that closed its storefront shop during COVID.

The media made a big deal about Republican VP candidate Sen. JD Vance ordering doughnuts at a Georgia bakery.

Democratic VP candidate Gov. Tim Walz pounced, claiming he can easily order doughnuts.

Minnesota Sen. Tina Smith also pounced with a photo of her and Walz in front of Daube’s Bakery in Rochester, MN.

Well, Daube’s Bakery closed its last storefront shop in 2020 during Walz’s draconian COVID policies.

The bakery didn’t confirm it closed because of the COVID policies, but it doesn’t look good, you know?

However, I found this comment:

The bakery still does online orders.

Walz implemented some of the worst COVID policies that only loosened up a tad in 2021. From Reason:

And though Walz instructed police to merely issue citations to people caught violating stay-at-home orders—which is still bad enough—he also maintained the right, via executive order, to issue $1,000 fines and send violators to jail for 90 days. His government maintained that private, indoor gatherings should be limited to 10 people. Outdoor gatherings were arbitrarily capped at 25 people. On July 23, 2020, Walz declared a statewide mask mandate for most indoor spaces and even some outdoor spaces.

“If we can get a 90 to 95% compliance, which we’ve seen the science shows, we can reduce the infection rates dramatically, which slows that spread and breaks that chain,” Walz said at the time. “This is the way, the cheapest, the most effective way for us to open up our businesses, for us to get our kids back in school, for us to keep our grandparents healthy and for us to get back that life that we all miss so much.”

What followed was the implementation of one of the stupidest COVID-19 rules: Diners at restaurants had to wear masks while walking to their table and moving about the establishment but were allowed to go maskless as long as they were eating and drinking.

Later, in November and December of 2020, Walz issued and extended orders for restaurants, gyms, and other businesses to shut down. This included outdoor dining service for eating establishments. Over 150 businesses formed the Reopen Minnesota Coalition and urged the governor to relent, but Walz was unmoved.

By the spring of 2021, vaccines were widely available for the most at-risk groups, and people who wanted to protect themselves from the risk of severe disease and death were able to exercise that option. It was only at this point that Walz partly relented and allowed widespread reopening; however, he kept capacity limits in place for many businesses.

Walz’s tyranny led to the closure of too many small businesses.

His administration even jailed one grandmother because she had the nerve to reopen her business.

Hey now, Dems are all about compassion. They care about PEOPLE! That is, as long as the PEOPLE think, do and say as they are told by the government experts.

We live in an idiocracy. The sooner these two representative idiots gain the Whitehouse the better. That way the huge reckoning with its merciless retributive backlash will follow the more quickly.

He wouldn’t be able to enforce his dogma without help of the police

Always remember that.

They didn’t stand up to help us and they won’t now

that makes 4 holes in that picture

These buffoons actually thought Walz looked good here? He’s standing so that the trees in the background appear to be his hair standing on end. He looks like an escaped lunatic eating donuts.

All of the COVID criminals got away with their rending of the Constitution and deranged perversion of America into Communist China. So many deserve to be sitting in prison, RIGHT NOW, contemplating the havoc they wreaked on America and how they behaved in the worst way possible for a free peoples … but not a single one of these despicable commie traitors has been held even minimally accountable. NOT A ONE. It’s pathetic and is a good part of the reason why this country is heading straight into the abyss. Our society is truly sick.

I have to be missing something here. Vance ordered donuts at a donut store a couple days ago. And Walz responds with “I can order donuts too!” And they post a picture that’s from at least several months ago, given the snow piles, and possibly years old given the store has closed. How does any of that make sense?

Timmy wants to show that he’s a Real Boy™ too.
Next, let’s see if Timmy can walk up to the press corps covering his and Kamala’s campaign and embarrass them for rimming Democrats 24/7… like Vance can.

Walz went to a doughnut store in PA and joked about how he knows how to order. Tina Smith then chimed in on X, saying she can confirm that he knows how to order doughnuts, with a picture of the two of them posing in the snow in front of a bakery and holding a box of doughnuts that they’re presumably just purchased from the bakery. No indication how many years ago the photo was taken; possibly from long before Walz forced the place to close.

Minnesota had stupid restrictions, like most blue states but at least Walz didn’t close down gun stores. My governor (Michelle Lujan Grisham) had to be sued into compliance. I refused to shut down. Local law enforcement looked the other way and I transferred more firearms in the month of April than I did the previous 3 months.

Walz looks like the Wish.com Tom Arnold.

Walz and more importantly his staff are IMO flipping stupid politically to run this photo and remind folks of the tyrannical Covid policies the leftists imposed. Calling attention to one of the many small businesses run through the gauntlet during Covid due to utterly unscientific policies; social distancing, minimal building occupation limits, closing down many businesses entirely, closing places of worship, closing down in person schools, mask mandates, jab mandates…on and on.

Turns out the ‘authorities’ and the ‘experts’ don’t know jack crap and until our credentialed class and political class to include the bureaucracy and the LEO who went along with this stupidity admit they were dead flipping wrong, apologize and then humbly accept the limits of their authority they don’t have any credibility.
