Trump Won’t Do Another Debate: ‘It’s Just Too Late, Voting has Already Started’

Harris accepted CNN’s invite for a debate on October 23.

Former President Donald Trump said he would not do another debate after VP Kamala Harris accepted a CNN invitation to debate on October 23.

Trump said:

“The problem with another debate is that it’s just too late voting has already started.”

“She’s had her chance to do it with Fox… but now she wants to do a debate right before the election because she’s losing badly.

“It’s like a fighter. She sees the pulse, she sees what’s happening. She’s losing badly, but it’s like a fighter who goes into the ring and gets knocked out. The first thing he says is, ‘I wanna rematch.'”

The election is November 5. The Harris campaign wants one on October 23? What a waste of time.

Harris campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon said, “The American people deserve another opportunity to see Vice President Kamala Harris and Donald Trump debate before they cast their ballots.”

CNN agreed to replicate his June debate with Joe Biden, meaning no open mics and no live audience.

VP candidates Tim Walz and JD Vance will debate on CBS on October 1.

Wants to be president of all the people, won’t go into “enemy territory” (as if), and expects her opponent to subject himself to another “debate” with a mainstream media outlet that loathes him.

I only wish there were more than 50 states so Harris’ defeat would be more resounding.

Trump is learning

I upvoted you but the assertion that Trump is “learning” is incorrect. DJT learned from previous mistakes and prior debate experiences not to get drawn in by the propaganda artists—the Democrats.

The loser in all of this contrived debate drama is the American people. Democrats have destroyed the debate process; a process that involves formal discourse, discussion, and oral addresses on a particular topic or collection of topics, that is supposed to be honest, where arguments are put forward for opposing viewpoints.

Trump is smart because he knows they are rigging it with the legacy media.

She’s down in the polls. People know she’s an airhead. Early voting has started. Trump is correct to stand pat.

Do they serve any purpose at this point other than reality TV and fodder for misinformation by the media and down the line?

Trump should agree to a debate on Newsmax and then Harris and Democrats will get a taste of what it’s like.

When is the Vance=Waltz debate?

Oct 1, posted on write up

The Harris Campaign is asking for another debate because they know JD Vance is going to mop the floor with Tampon Timmy.

Trump is best to say this instead of hold out for Fox. Independents don’t view Fox that well, so it would do nothing for him there.

    Agreed.
What I don’t understand is why Trump doesn’t just come out and bash her with the heavy artillery. “Her campaign is dying, so she wants her lapdog media to give her another hour-long unpaid political advertisement. Every debate so far has been on Democrat terms, under Democrat rules. She doesn’t even have enough courage to meet her opponent outside her own comfort zone. Does she think hostile world leaders are going to do things on her terms? Is this the kind of leadership that will keep America safe, prosperous, and independent?”
Maybe it’s just “gentlemen’s political diplomacy,” a concept I never had any truck with.

“Does she think hostile world leaders are going to do things on her terms?”

When you see the global situations our country is facing, this one question if answered honestly would see Harris/Walz losing by a wide margin.

Another debate is pointless. Any undecided voter remaining is so whimsical that their vote may be decided by the size of the bubbles in their soda. The hope of the Harris Campaign is that Trump might say something, anything that they could spin as an October surprise.

Quite seriously the man has been under daily attack since the beginning of his first campaign. Unless he gives them a fresh sound bite they only have the same old “Orange Man Bad” drum…and that doesn’t attract any attention any more.

What a coward. He refused to debate any of his Republican primary opponents. He only debated Biden because Biden was a senile, dementia ridden retard. He debated Harris once and lost. So now he refuses to debate her again. You can try to spin this anyway you want, but Independents and Undecideds will read this as Trump being a coward. DeSantis would have gladly debated her as many times as she wanted.

Good to see you can always get one upvote from Rosie Palm.

If he agreed, you would call him stupid. Who are you trying to kid. The TDS you have is worse than the China virus, which at least passes.

Show me on the Trump doll where the Bad Orange Man touched you, Junior.
Why should Trump debate Kamalalaladingdong again, much less only two weeks before the election, and why should he do it on CNN? There’s absolutely no value whatever to having another debate.
You’ve drank so much anti-Trump trash water that you’ve become a disgrace to real trolls everywhere, and the only coward here is you.
    Begone, dingus.

Perhaps you were out of town but Trump secured the nomination without a primary debate and it was Biden who wanted the early debate with him. Try to keep up, eh?

Funny. While the talking heads were claiming that Harris won, hands down, the majority of undecided voters said they were far more likely to vote for Trump after watching it. Since voter opinion and behaviour is the true decider of who won, I think we know that the media is once again lying.

Like I said elsewhere, it’s like watching an “entertainment” wrestling match where Snidely Whiplash “won” the bout by cranking Dudley DoRight over the head with a folding chair. Snidely “wins,” but the crowd is now even more firmly in Dudley’s camp.

Yup Harris is a total hero getting a pre-taped and highly edited interview with her running mate, a “debate” where one the moderators is her sorority sister and the producer introduced her to her husband, and then being “interviewed” by Oprah. Man that lady really jumps into the fire! She would totally own Putin because I mean she’s just so inspirational and joyful.

Ironically, Harris skipping the Al Smith Dinner. You will blame Trump for attending. You lost your marbles.

Don’t forget that the Trump’s appearance at the NABJ Q&A was originally intended to be a joint appearance with “say it to my face” Harris but she declined even after they offered to allow her to zoon in. They dutifully organized a separate solo appearance which I believe was the one that produced the cringy video of Harris bolting off the stage at the conclusion of the interview.

I hope but do not expect you to realize your comment simply proves Trump’s point that Harris is desperate for a debate because she didn’t ‘win’ one except in the minds of people who already drank the kool-aid.

Trump actually participated in debates demanded by two different Democrat candidates. Neither Biden nor Harris agreed to any debate requested by Trump, and declined to particpate in debates organized by a reasonable neutral third party, the PDC. Now Harris, after declining to a debate Trump organized with Fox, is complaining about him declining a third debate the Democrats have organized with a DNC-adjacent media organization. I’m pretty sure people will be able to figure out which is the coward’s party.

I don’t see the point of another “debate” on another super progressive “news” outlet. I mean for Harris there is a point so she can come off great having gotten all the questions before hand and of course they’ll make sure to load them w/ Jan 6 references and abortion doomsday nonsense (I mean Trump is creating a registry of pregnancies–it’s the Handsmaid Tale come to life…run for your lives…..). Also don’t forget the “fact” checking of Trump and moderators arguing with him (“I didn’t detect any sarcasm there”). What is the point for Trump? How many times does he have to go on CNN and ABC, when none of his opponents will go on Fox or any alternate platforms like X? It only benefits Kama-lama ding-dong so that’s why her handlers are asking. For people dying for another fake debate there is the VP nonsense that will likely be another train wreck of journalistic malpractice. Hopefully that satisfies the “voters” appetite for more bullshit because no questions or policy issues will get answered there just like all the other “debates.” It’s just mudslinging and name calling and who gets in the best zinger of the night. Frankly we all deserve better, right, left and middle, but aren’t going to get it.

Kamala is dingbat. She couldn’t handle oprah interview. Dems should have done open primary.
