Trump Assassination Attempt: Suspect Told Iran to Kill Former President

Ryan Routh, the man accused of trying to assassinate former President Donald Trump, told Iran to kill the former president in a self-published book last year.

From the Associated Press:

“You are free to assassinate Trump,” Routh wrote of Iran in an apparently self-published book in 2023, “Ukraine’s Unwinnable War,” which described the former president as a “fool” and “buffoon” for both the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot and the “tremendous blunder” of leaving the Iran nuclear deal.Routh wrote that he once voted for Trump and must take part of the blame for the “child that we elected for our next president that ended up being brainless.”

Routh also took blame for Trump because he voted for him in 2016: “I must take part of the blame for the retarded child that we elected for our next president that ended up being brainless, but I am man enough to say that I misjudged and made a terrible mistake and Iran I apologize.”

Routh also wanted Russian President Vladimir Putin assassinated.

The book is available on Amazon.

Routh’s wife, Kathleen Shaffer of Old Navy in Hawaii, edited the book.
