Harris Skipping Traditional Al Smith Dinner Where Candidates Roast Each Other
What a wuss. It’s a CHARITY dinner, Harris.
VP Kamala Harris won’t attend the traditional Al Smith charity dinner in New York City to campaign in battleground states.
The dinner raises money for Catholic Charities.
Named after the first major party Catholic presidential nominee, it happens three weeks before the general election with the candidates in attendance.

Harris’ team wants her to spend as much time as possible in the battleground states that will decide the election rather than heavily Democratic New York, a campaign official said Saturday, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss campaign plans and confirming a decision first reported by CNN. Her team told organizers that she would be willing to attend as president if she’s elected, the official said.
Donald Trump’s campaign did not immediately respond to a question about whether he would attend the dinner. His 2016 appearance at the dinner invited boos when many in the audience felt he crossed a line when he called Democrat Hillary Clinton corrupt and claimed she hated Catholics.
What a wuss.
It became a tradition for both candidates to show up in 1960 when Richard Nixon and JFK appeared at the dinner.
The Archdiocese of New York did not invite former President Bill Clinton or challenger Bob Dole in 1996 “because Clinton vetoed a late-term abortion ban.”
Former President Donald Trump roasted Hillary in 2016 with many thinking he went too far.
I don’t think he went far enough.

Catholic Charities has a lot of contrition to perform for being a major promoter and funder of illegal immigration. If Trump doesn’t choose to call them out on this, we can just count it as him dodging bullet #3.

The 2000 Al Smith dinner was the changeover to outright insult; Bush was all hail fellow well met, citing Gore’s strong points, “He’s my opponent, not my enemy,” and “I can’t wish him luck but I do wish him well.” Gore followed with insults and attack.
It’s not just the Harris campaign’s decision to skip the dinner. It’s been an unspoken rule of the Democrat party since Trump won in 2016 not to do anything that might humanize him.

Harris simply doesn’t have the ability to handle anything unscripted. She obviously had the questions in advance for the so-called debate. She also had an earpiece with real-time prompting. She never submits to a hostile interview. An empty shell. Or as we used to say when I was an undergraduate: she’s a member of the null set. (the null set is the empty set).
A skillful politician is all too willing to submit to a roasting.
She will wuss out of any event that she doesn’t have control of, or the acquiescence of the moderators.
She won’t go if the fix isn’t in.

I realized it when I did some volunteer work for a Catholic charity group 20 years ago. I was concerned why a Catholic group would be funding the immigration of Eastern European and Somali Muslims. It’s so much worse now.
Between the child molestation scandals, the funding of an invasion of illegal aliens, and the pope being a commie shitbag, I have no faith in church anymore.

While Trump has agreed to go to the 79th iteration of the Archdiocese of New York’s dinner on Oct. 17, Harris’s camp says she will instead campaign in key battleground states on the final stretch before election day, her campaign told The Post.
She’ll be attending a campaign dinner with 741 Former High-Ranking National Security Officials, at which they are expected to present their demands.
That venue is no where safe enough for Harris.
Her speaking is a loose cannon, and way to many negative waves could be spoken for her clean up operation to take.
