Harris Recycles ‘I Grew Up Middle Class’ Story When Asked About Economy

Good Lord.

Oh, look. VP Kamala Harris shows us, again, that she’s a robot.

At a forum with the National Association of Black Journalists, Harris couldn’t answer how she would fix the economy.

Instead, Harris recycled her lame and false “I grew up in the middle class” story:

HARRIS: “They can just get their foot in the door to be able to then engage in what will prove to be their opportunity to build intergenerational wealth. And here’s my personal experience coming at that. I grew up a middle-class kid. My mother was hard-working. She raised me and my sister Maya. She saved up and it was only by the time I was a teenager that she could afford to — to actually buy her first home.”

In her first solo TV interview a few days ago, Harris said:

“Well, I’ll start with this. I grew up a middle-class kid,” Harris responded. “My mother raised my sister and me. She worked very hard. She was able to finally save up enough money to buy our first house when I was a teenager.

“I grew up in a community of hard-working people, you know, construction workers and nurses and teachers. And I try to explain to some people who may not have had the same experience. You know, a lot of people will relate to this.”

At the debate, when asked about the economy, Harris also started her answer with the middle class line:

So, I was raised as a middle-class kid. And I am actually the only person on this stage who has a plan that is about lifting up the middle class and working people of America. I believe in the ambition, the aspirations, the dreams of the American people. And that is why I imagine and have actually a plan to build what I call an opportunity economy.

I think the reason she laughs so often and loudly after being asked a question is to keep the listeners from falling asleep during her interminable nonsense answers.

It’s such a specious dodge. Middle class can have varied definitions for different people.

She grew up in an expanding Middle Class where income and opportunities were increasing.
She has no concept of the shrinking and embattled Middle Class of today.

That crone-harlot, Harris, is willing to brazenly lie about holding an alleged job at McDonald’s while in college, in order to play up her alleged middle-class bona fides, tells you all that you need to know about the glaring inauthenticity of this elitist, coastal California poser and charlatan.

We should be talking more about how Harris, Walz, Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Schumer and the rest of the Dhimmi-crat elite possess scant to non-existent private sector work experience, between them. It’s an absolutely contemptible trait and it explains not only the Dhimmi-crats’ offensive and manifest fiscal and economic illiteracy, but, also, their perennial hostility towards private sector businesses, companies, entrepreneurs, investors and workers.

The private sector is a world that is totally alien to 99.99% of Dhimmi-crat Party apparatchiks. All that these reprobates know is the comfort of a cushy, ivory tower government sinecure.

brazenly lie about holding an alleged job at McDonald’s while in college

We don’t actually know that it is a lie. We have no information on this; it’s entirely possible for it to have happened. Her saying so doesn’t make it more likely to be true, but neither does it make it less likely. As on every topic, we know exactly as much after she speaks as we did before.

True. Because we are forced to evaluate her claim using BLS statistics that are routinely perverted for political purposes, we can’t know.

“The Data will say anything if you torture it enough.”

Much like her repeated claims of owning a firearm we don’t know that she didn’t work at McDonald’s. One thing that makes me suspicious is not only the corporate presses lack of interest in the claim but that none of her coworkers from there have stepped forward.

Whether the McDonald’s stint is a lie, or not, it would (if true) represents the only private sector experience that Harris can claim, and, that job experience doesn’t change my underlying point about Harris’s, and, Dhimmi-crat apparatchiks’ at-large, total paucity of substantive private sector work experience.

I grew up a middle class kid too and my mom worked very hard. My neighbors were also proud of their lawns. does that mean I can now fix the economy and become president? Just wondering? I mean I’m not in to giving out free houses because as all homeowners know once you get the house your real trouble begins . So you shouldn’t buy a home until you are ready to take care of a home which is expensive in so many unforseeable ways.

Sure, but first you have to suck Willie Brown’s di*k for a few years. You know, ‘work your way up’ the ladder of sucksess.

Again … Komrade Kamala tells stories about her upbringing IN CANADA for an alleged campaign for the American Presidency … and not a peep from the so-called “reporters” about why tales of Canadian life have any place in an American political campaign, especially when Komrade Kamala partners her tales of growing up in Canada with stupid platitudes about Americans.

In all this time that Komrade Kamala has been pretending to be an American Presidential candidate, not one word from ANYONE about how she grew up in Canada (ages 12-18) and how she keeps telling tales of Canadian life when she is asked questions about the American economy and Americans.

This is beyond pathetic.

Per Google – “The average home price in Westmount, Quebec, Canada is around $2,297,118 on the MLS.”

The MSM is the greatest danger to this country. IMO if Harris’ lies were exposed, she would be at least 10 points behind.

Well, middle within the upper class in Montreal. Nes pas?

Again, why wouldn’t tales of Canadian life have a place in an American political campaign? Canada is not another planet. Life on one side of the Canadian border is almost exactly the same as life on the other side.

She also was only there for six years; her first 12 years were spent in San Francisco, which is a more alien place than Montreal, but is definitely within the USA.

Well, middle within the upper class in Montreal. Nes pas?

Living in a rich neighborhood does not make one rich. Living on a single professor’s salary, their life would definitely have been middle class.

Again, why wouldn’t tales of Canadian life have a place in an American political campaign?

That you are asking that is ridiculous and says anything anyone needs to know about your appreciation of the concept of the nation-state.

Even Komrade Kamala knows that it’s wrong, which is why she (and her co-conspirators and various other idiots) are intentionally hiding the fact that she’s talking about Canada.

Tales of life in Canada have absolutely no place in American political discussions. Everybody understands this. Everybody but Milhouse … and the rest of the “global citizens”.

You are the one being ridiculous. The nation-state is completely irrelevant to the topic. And in any case neither Canada nor the USA are nation-states. Which makes me suspect that you are the one who doesn’t understand the concept.

The fact that she wants to claim middle class Roots just makes her crap economy even less excusable.

Milhouse in reply to Ironclaw. | September 18, 2024 at 6:42 am

Why shouldn’t middle class people be ignorant and foolish? In particular, why shouldn’t a person who grew up middle class be completely ignorant of economics, especially if most of her ideas about economics came from her father the Marxist “economist”.

Kamala Harris grew up in a middle class neighborhood where there were a lot of cats and dogs.

Hey, just ’cause her dad’s from Jamaica doesn’t mean she doesn’t care about pets. Just the other day someone noticed her walking with a pet on a leash, When they got a little closer it turned out to be Walz.

Everyone pretends she answered the questions…she did not. She just went into loony and slanderous rants.

Even the pretend NABJ “journalists” on the panel tried to ask her the questions a second time (more than once) but they couldn’t coax any sort of an actual answer out of her and, I guess, they thought that trying twice was the limit on journalistic interrogatives.

Frankly, she was making fools of them, along with herself. It was like an interview suicide bombing.

Her mother was a scientist who contributed greatly to breast cancer research and her dad was an economist of some stature. They certainly were successful enough to live wherever they wanted.

An opportunity economy. Get ready for the hunger games.

Memes are now in place all over the net.

wait until they find out she had a maid

Can you possibly fact or at least nuance check this little contrived story of hers??

It comes off as full of holes. If her parents worked for a public university then their salary data may be a matter of public record.

ThePrimordialOrderedPair in reply to healthguyfsu. | September 18, 2024 at 1:54 am

It appears that her father took off pretty early in her life. Funny, she never speaks about her father, really, even though he’s the major character now since she has decided that she is more black than Indian for the moment.

Her father’s essay from 2018 says that his relationship with his children came to “an abrupt halt in 1972”, the result of a court custody case in the divorce. So, that was when Komrade Kamala was 8. Evidently, her mother didn’t like her father being around, at all.

Her father certainly is a Marxist but as you point out it’s a stretch to think he had much to do with her upbringing. Her mother, though was a real black nationalist.

        Milhouse in reply to diver64. | September 18, 2024 at 7:11 am

Both her parents were acolytes of the whackadoodle who invented Kwanzaa. Which is why I believe her story about celebrating it as a child, which some have questioned because it wasn’t widely known at the time. There may have been few families that celebrated it, but the Harrises were one of them.

          diver64 in reply to Milhouse. | September 18, 2024 at 8:19 am

That was but my point. She wasn’t raised by her father so concentrating on him for any insight towards her upbringing will not help to understand her. People should look to her mother. I’m not aware of Harris bringing her father up much at all.

I grew up poor and not only were we proud of the lawn I had to mow the darn thing from the time I was in 1st grade. Does that make me qualified to be President?

Vote Harris, the Chauncey Gardiner candidate! She’s an imbecile.
