FBI Raids Homes of Two Top Aides of NYC Mayor Eric Adams

FBI Raids Homes of Two Top Aides of NYC Mayor Eric Adams

The FBI has been investigating possible corruption during Adams’ 2021 mayoral campaign.

The FBI raided the homes of Deputy Mayor for Public Safety Phil Banks and First Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright, two top aides for NYC Mayor Eric Adams, on Wednesday.

The FBI has been investigating possible corruption during Adams’ 2021 mayoral campaign.

The investigation is centered around allegations the “campaign colluded with the Turkish government and others to direct money into his mayoral effort.”

Wright is engaged to Schools Chancellor David Banks, Phil Banks’ brother. From The City:

The purpose of the raids is not clear, but the source said the cell phones and laptops of Wright and Philip Banks were taken. The FBI raids follow others the bureau has performed on Adams and top advisors.

Early Thursday an FBI spokesperson declined to comment but did not deny that the bureau showed up at Wright’s and David Banks’ as well as Phil Banks’ home addresses.

A half hour after THE CITY revealed the raids, City Hall Chief Counsel Lisa Zornberg issued a statement: “Investigators have not indicated to us [that] the mayor or his staff are targets of any investigation. As a former member of law enforcement, the mayor has repeatedly made clear that all members of the team need to follow the law.”

Adams received a grand jury subpoena in August. The document requested “information that pertains to the related issues under investigation.”

In November, the FBI seized numerous electronics belonging to Adams.

Turkish collusion! OMG!

Of course, the purpose of the raid is not clear. The Cheka is likely on another fishing expedition, because Adams did something to anger the communists at the DOJ.

Adams is a POS, but I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt given who he’s up against.

Am I to understand there might be some corruption in NYC politics?
Quick, where is Sarah Hoyt’s shocked face?

Garfinkle going after low hanging fruit Mosby, Menendez, Cuellar. And now Adams and his underlings.
Maybe just luck of the draw.

If you go by the photos in the headline scandal articles, you might assume Adams is skippering a 100%-BIPOC administration.
Well, except for the Chinese spies, of course, you silly!

Holy cow! When NYC says they want to defund the police, they also mean they want to imprison them, too!

It’s always fun to watch the infighting of the corrupt vs the corrupt in NYC. I’m sure some of his leftist opponents ginned this up.

Why can’t the Republican Party find a well qualified person to run for Mayor of NYC?

Why should they bother? The Democrats will just run more popular “Republican” candidates… like Bloomberg.

I certainly don’t care what people in Manhattan and Brooklyn think and do with their lives. They can knock themselves out.

But they obviously seem to care a lot about what conservative people think and do because they don’t agree with us.

“Investigators have not indicated to us [that] the mayor or his staff are targets of any investigation.”

This is a little confusing since the FBI raided Adams “Deputy Mayor’s” houses in an investigation. They are not on his staff or in his cabinet? Sounds like Counsel is splitting hairs.

I’ve read of this investigation for several months now and as of yet there is no evidence Adams knew anything about this. Sounds, as of now, more like those two were grabbing money from anyone who would throw it their way.

I suspect the FBI thinks Phil Banks and Sheena Wright have suspicious names.

I cannot confirm this, but I tend to believe from watching the Chekisti at work that the trigger for this was several days earlier when it hit the national news that in Manhattan and Brooklyn that literally 3/4 of all the crime committed there [no small crime rate] was/is committed by members of the army of hostile foreign invaders flooding sanctuary city New York from the borders. And further that those few caught were given PR bond, or not charged, or charges were later dropped. This has repercussions in other areas where invaders are attacking Americans with no government opposition.

I live in Colorado. While Denver is a self-declared sanctuary city where the invaders can do no wrong, neighboring Aurora is not. Yet, at the same time that the story about crime in Manhattan and Brooklyn came out; the story about the Venezuelan prison gang taking over several apartment complexes in Aurora and other parts of Metro Denver [from the tenants and owners] came out here. Believe me, the two are becoming linked in the local public mind. It is also encouraging the funding of shipping invaders from the border to major sanctuary cities.

Admitting that the level of crime is that bad AND that it is done by the invaders is counter to the current agitprop Line put out by the Party of the Workers and Peasants. Thus a low grade purge . . . with those raids as a warning for now to NYC government to shut people up.

As I said, this is conjecture; but since the actions of Federal law enforcement seem to track Leftist politics, it is not unreasonable. YMMV, and feel free to argue otherwise.
