Contrast: Dana Bash’s Combative Interview With J.D. Vance Versus Softball Exchanges With Kamala

Contrast: Dana Bash’s Combative Interview With J.D. Vance Versus Softball Exchanges With Kamala

“The contrast between her gentle, loving, and indefensibly incurious treatment of her pals Kamala and Tim with this hostile and badgering debate against someone she clearly loathes could not be more dramatic.”

As expected, the “interview” Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, did with CNN‘s Dana Bash on Thursday came off more like a conversation between a spokesperson and their boss, where they are both trying to make sure they are on the same page regarding what to say, how to react, etc.

Indeed, right out of the gate we were treated to a question where multiple choice answers were given by Bash to Harris in a clip on the vice president’s flip flops that dropped several hours before the full pre-taped 18-minute interview aired:

BASH: Generally speaking, how should voters look at some of the changes that you’ve made — that you explained some of here — in your policy? Is it because you have more experience now and you’ve learned more about the information? Is it because you’re running for president in a Democratic primary? And should they feel comfortable and confident that what you’re saying now is gonna be your policy moving forward?

Watch:

There was also, for instance, this leading softball question, where Bash encouraged Harris to talk up her race and gender:

BASH: And last question, Madam Vice President, the photograph that has gone viral. You were speaking. One of your grand nieces that you were just talking about was watching you accept the nomination. You didn’t explicitly talk about gender or race in your speech. But it obviously means a lot to a lot of people. And that viral picture really says it. What does it mean to you?

Watch:

You watch those types of moments and then ompare it to how combative Bash was with Donald Trump’s vice presidential running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) during her solo interview with him, and it becomes pretty undeniable that someone’s political party makes a big difference in how they get treated by Bash (and others on the network):

I mean the differences here are stark. Pretty much her entire interview with Vance was her running interference for and defending Harris and Walz. But in the interview she did with Harris and Walz, the tone and demeanor were completely different. There was no combative stance and zero hostility.

The Free Beacon put a video together that included clips of both interviews just to really emphasize the point that the double standards here are so glaring:

There was also this compare/contrast, which got the attention of Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr.:

Reactions:

Facts first, and all that.

Sorry Prof Jacobson, I don’t think Bash is at all embarrassed.
I think she’s proud of herself.
This is your daily reminder that you don’t hate the media nearly enough.

It certainly was different treatment. Bash was just fine having Walz sit by Harris, but refused to allow Vance to fondle Mrs. Beasley during his interview.

The difference is, even without a preview of the questions, Vance answered all questions honestly, directly and competently. Without a “coach” or emotional support.

He parried Bash’s “bashing” with aplomb and a smile. Even against the Harris-Walz tag team.

He just make the difference more clear.

Vance question: “When did you stop beating your wife.”

Cackles question: “Tell us more about the Joy we all felt at the DNC.”

We have seen this fascist brand of Election Interference so many times it barely registers as such. Corporate and state power are completely, indistinguishably melded.

That journalists take themselves so seriously as if they are doing a public service is a joke, especially with the degradation of journalism into a celebrity profession.

Bash is simply another of these clowns, maybe the neice of Martha Raddatz?

The Drive-By media and the polls are wholly owned subsidiaries of the propaganda branch of the democrat party

They are currently engaged in pursuing and publishing a narrative that will justify the distraint of militaristic elements of the DOJ to tamp down any mention of the coup of 2024, should the perps be successful in November

Dana Bash is bad. Kristen Welker seems to be even worse. This morning during an interview with Tom Cotton (who was great, btw), she was so eager to defend Kamala Harris that she – get this – completely made something up and said Harris ‘met with’ the families of the Abby Gate bombing during the so-called dignified transfer. That didn’t happen. Harris wasn’t even there.

Of all the internal enemies America faces (or ignores as it were) the Corporate media may be the worst of the lot. Demi-Socialist-Marxists with bylines. Mark my words, Cackling Kamala will not do any more interviews till Election Day. And she won’t be pushed to do one by these lap dogs. They are absolutely brutal. Kamala is clearly unfit for Office- any office- but it doesn’t matter. Such a sad state of affairs…..

Why are liberal women so unattractive?

Must be that evil seeping out

My wife watches ABC Good Morning America.

When covering Haris, the reporters are smiling and bubbling with Joy.

However, with Trump, they are stern and often irritated.

Dana Bash was awful at the Trump-Biden debate. Jake Tapper was actually pretty fair and unbiased (for the debate, at least) but Bash was the usual sort of left-wing commie harpy, using her questioning to attack Trump, over and over.

I find it interesting that in a neighboring blog piece was one with messages from the Gold Star parents and relatives to Kamala Harris. Dana Bash should have played a couple of those responses to Kamala Harris and asked for a response.

Bash is completely lacking in integrity. Aside from the specific references to the two interviews, this article could have been written a month ago.
