CNN’s Juliette Kayyem: Trump “Racist” for Calling Taliban Leader Abdul…Abdul

CNN’s Juliette Kayyem: Trump “Racist” for Calling Taliban Leader Abdul…Abdul

It’s racist to call someone by their name? News to me!

The left and the media (but I repeat myself) laughed at Donald Trump when he said the leader of the Taliban had the name “Abdul.”

Well, one lefty professor tried to claim the comment showed Trump’s racism when, in fact, it showed off her racism.

Yeah, um, thank goodness many people introduced her to Abdul Ghani Baradar.

Abdul is a Taliban co-founder and became the de facto leader is 2021.

This woman is just awful.

She encouraged people to go insane on the trucker protest in Canada:

LOL she tried to walk back her comments but failed there as well.

Next time call him ‘Bubba’.

It actually implies that Pres. Trump knew him well. Perhaps he told Pres. Trump to call him Abdul. I bet Kayyem has no clue.

So much leftist street cred:

I wonder is she is advising about the sudden onset of gross antisemitism by the left?

From her web page:

“Professor Juliette Kayyem is currently the faculty chair of the Homeland Security and Security and Global Health Projects at Harvard & Kennedy School of Government. She also serves as CNN Senior National Security Analyst for CNN where she has been described as CNN’s “go to” for disasters. A contributing writer to The Atlantic, she has a weekly security segment on NPR’s Boston station WGBH. Her most recent book, The Devil Never Sleeps: Learning to Live in an Age of Disasters, was described in a New Yorker profile of her as an “engagingly urgent blueprint for rethinking our approach to disaster preparedness and response.”

In government, she most recently served as President Obama’s Assistant Secretary for Intergovernmental Affairs at the Department of Homeland Security. Previously, she was Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick’s Homeland Security Advisor. She is the recipient of many government honors, including the Distinguished Public Service Award, the Coast Guard’s highest medal awarded to a civilian.

She is a frequent speaker and advisor to major corporations and associations on national and homeland security, planning for a crisis, cybersecurity and resiliency efforts. From 2020-2022, she served as faculty for a joint effort with Bloomberg Philanthropies and Harvard University to train mayors and city leaders for pandemic planning. She is a Senior Advisor to Teneo, the global consulting firm, and also serves as a security advisor and consultant to several Fortune 500 companies and startups. She was named Inc. Magazine’s top 100 Female Founders in 2019 and received the Lifetime Achievement Pinnacle Award from the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce in 2023.

A graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School, and the mother of three children, she is married to First Circuit Court of Appeals Chief Judge David Barron.”

Karen gonna Karen and lefty wokiestas will make something up if they can’t find an honest criticism. They enjoy being nags and delight in remaking society and culture to fit their whimsical notions of morality then drop their new rule the very moment it is applied to them.

Wow. Stupid is as stupid does. I would be embarrassed to show my face in public.

In Arabic, Abdul (servant of) is not a name. It’s part of a name. With this individual, Abdul Ghani is the full name. Abdullah is a full name.

Trump’s never pretended to know a lick of Arabic, so Kayyem is being petty at best. We also don’t know how Trump addressed Baradar during the negotiations.

Has Kayyem ever called out the pop music figure who calls herself Paula Abdul? I’m guessing she hasn’t.

I would think he probably addressed him as Abdul.

Actually this is quite an old story, that Trump pulled out a photo of Abduls home and then threatened to kill his family if a single American soldier was killed during the withdrawal. An agreement that was held UNTIL Biden came on board and Kamala had the last word and fucked it all up.

Imagine the brain power required to think about abandoning Bagram airbase, thinking that was a good idea…and then someone who was the last person in the room approved that plan because it was such a great plan.

I mean the level of gross incompetence required to even think that plan up, to think that plan was a great idea and then to get that plan approved is just astounding.

You should watch “The Thirteenth Warrior,” when an Iban_________________________ tries to explain his family lineage of an Arabic name. The vikings ignore him and call him Iban. President Trump is more viking oriented.

Yes, that is true of Arabic and why you don’t find Abdul used much in Arabic speaking countries. Abdul Ghani was born in Afghanistan and grew up speaking Dari or Pashto. More people speak English in Afghanistan than Arabic. It’s not that uncommon to find cultures outside Arabic speaking societies using it as a standalone name.

these are the types that have connections inside the congress….whitehouse

and some will be on the gop side

The left is just broken. They cannot think rationally when it comes to anything to do with Trump.

That she posted this on X, and then thought it was a dunk is just amazing. Amazingly ignorant and it is nice to see her get carted left, right and centre for her utter ignorance.

I’m not convinced she’s a real person.

The racist is the one who brings race into everything.

I remember when it was “racist” to call Obama by his middle name, so her opinion is undoubtedly correct within her bubble.

Trump clearly prefers to negotiate with the person in charge. This also highlights the fact that nobody has ever negotiated with Biden.

I wish Trump had asked Harris whether she would invite Hamas leaders to Camp David.

I might have missed it, but I don’t recall him ever using her first name during the debate. A good way to avoid the traps that surround its pronunciation.

here is her hubby and his “legalizing” ..wellll YOU READ IT!

In 2010, he authored a secret memo which provided the legal foundation for President Obama’s unprecedented decision to order a drone strike on Anwar al-Awlaki, an American citizen who was a radical Islamic militant living in Yemen.[4] Barron’s memo was described by The New York Times Editorial Board as “a slapdash pastiche of legal theories—some based on obscure interpretations of British and Israeli law—that was clearly tailored to the desired result.”[5]

A lawyer for the ACLU described the memo as “disturbing” and “ultimately an argument that the president can order targeted killings of Americans without ever having to account to anyone outside the executive branch.”[6]

These people are not as bright as many people think they are. Oy vey.
(I guarantee they didn’t laugh at the “Mohammad!” skit in … I can’t remember the name of the movie.)
