Not sure who Biden thinks the Secret Service is going to add here. Is there some glut of USSS agents in the pipeline to become part of the presidential protection details that we haven’t tapped?
Is there anyone worthwhile in the pipeline at all? A big part of the problem is the federal government has been hiring less qualified people and excluding more qualified people for years. Part of it is dei, part of it is wanting to get people who are of the “correct” political bent. I’m sure there are other reasons as well. But it’s led to a corrupt and incompetent FBI, has neutered the military, and apparently ruined the Secret Service as well.
These are fair points. They have a talent problem, for certain. But, Hotair’s Ed Morrissey highlighted a fact earlier this morning that is also a problem.
