Biden Claims He was ‘Commanding’ From the Beach as People Suffered From Helene
Imagine how the media and the left would treat Trump if he stayed at the beach after any kind of disaster.
President Joe Biden spent the weekend at the Delaware beach as people suffered from Hurricane Helene.
A reporter asked Biden why he and Vice President Kamala Harris weren’t in DC to take command of the situation and issue federal help.
He spent a few hours on the phone, so it’s totes all good (sarcasm):
REPORTER: “On the hurricane, why weren’t you and VP Harris here in Washington commanding this this weekend?”
BIDEN: I was commanding. I was on the phone for at least two hours yesterday. And the day before as well. I command on the telephone with all my security people.
REPORTER: "On the hurricane, why weren't you and VP Harris here in Washington commanding this this weekend?"
BIDEN: "I was commanding!"

I’m surprised the ‘President’ didn’t channel his inner King Canute and claim he “commanded” the hurricane to stop.
Ha ha, yes! That’s exactly what I thought when I saw the headline. I thought he was claiming to be on a beach in Florida!
Government employees working from home ballooned during covid, even under directives many still won’t go into the office and Biden not being at the Command Center just confirms this new normal for government employees.
Or if he was reading books to kids as terrorists were actively flying airliners into buildings. I do recall lots of belly aching over that as well.
Yes… we don’t have to “imagine” how the media would have reacted to a Republican president in a similar situation — we’ve already seen it.

Or he could be teaching a lesson. If you are a conservative state; you cannot depend on the Federal government or Leftist states to help you in crisis’, but rather you have to look to fellow conservative states.

Ha ha. Biden hasn’t commanded anything in years. His dementia has severly limited his ability to exercise control even over his mind which, of course, is the reason why he is being controlled by others.
Out of frustration, he named his dog named Commander, but even it wouldn’t listen to him.

It seems to me that neither Biden nor Harris is running the government. Biden is clearly non compos mentis, and Harris lacks the ability to do anything. They are both mere props in an ongoing theater of absurd. So whose in charge? The WH staff? The military? A foreign power like China? According to Peter Schweizer’s book “Red Handed,” Many American politicians such as Diane Feinstein, Mitch McConnell, and both presidents Bush have benefited financially from their connections to China. Who knows? I don’t. I can only engage in speculation to try and make sense of what I see.

The one thing President’s like to show is pictures of them in front of the cabinet appearing to take info in and ask for action from his cabinet secretaries. No pictures of him holding a phone. I do not expect the President to roll into every disaster that happens as it is a major distraction and pull of resources from the area. The problem is the optics. Trump showed up in Georgia with some supplies and Biden was on the beach while Kamala was hidden as usual.
The whole hurricane thing is media orgy, and the government response is fine. It’s autonomous and scripted no matter who’s in charge.
Biden/Harris have everything wrong with them but they don’t figure into the hurricane response, which itself is just a media event because of ratings.
People watch because it’s entertainment. If you want to entertain yourself with other people’s misfortunes, that’s your business I guess, but it seems to be awfully prevalent on the left and the right.

Each side is ready to pounce on the slightest error by the other, but the fact is Biden was utterly idiotic to be seen on the beach during this catastrophe, even though his incompetence would likely lead to more harm than good.
Harris’ time fundraising wasn’t much better.
If these two terrible people don’t want to help, the least they could do would be to stay out of sight.

If what Biden said was true then what Harris said wasn’t. In either case nothing from the Feds is coming in to help the mountains in TN/NC/SC that have been hit hard.
