Agents Search NYC Mayor Adams’ House as He Denies Charges
The indictment is still sealed.
Federal agents searched New York City Mayor Eric Adams’s home at 6 AM ET:
At about 6 a.m. on Thursday, nearly a dozen men and women dressed in business attire arrived in S.U.V.s outside the entrance of Gracie Mansion, the mayor’s official residence, on the Upper East Side. At least one vehicle had a federal law enforcement parking placard on its dashboard. They carried briefcases, backpacks and bags.
A lawyer for Mr. Adams, Alex Spiro, issued a statement on Thursday saying that the agents had come for the mayor’s phone, even though investigators had taken some electronic devices from him last year.
In a statement sent by email, Mr. Spiro said: “Federal agents appeared this morning at Gracie Mansion in an effort to create a spectacle (again) and take Mayor Adams phone (again). He has not been arrested and looks forward to his day in court. They send a dozen agents to pick up a phone when we would have happily turned it in.”
I will keep an eye on this story.
The New York Times reported last night that Adams has been indicted after a lengthy federal corruption investigation. I explained it in my post late last night.
Rumors swirled that police could arrest Adams today.
After the news broke, Adams released this statement:
ADAMS: “My fellow New Yorkers, it is now my belief that the federal government intends to charge me with crimes. If so, these charges will be entirely false, based on lies. But they would not be surprising. I always knew that if I stood my ground for all of you, that I would be a target, and a target I became. For months, leaks and rumors have been aimed at me in an attempt to undermine my credibility and paint me as guilty. Just this past week, they searched the home of our new police commissioner, looking for documents from 20 years ago, just one week after he joined my administration. Enough! I will fight these injustices with every ounce of my strength and my spirit.”

I don’t like this sort of thing but it gives me a certain level of schadenfreude to see this happen to a man who is both a Democrat and an ex-cop. Getting a taste of the medicine he freely dished out when he had a badge and gun of his own.

LOL. I must have missed that episode. I don’t remember him ever doing anything for the actual citizens of New York. I remember Adams whining to the federal government to give New York even more money so that the sanctuary city (a sanctuary from the prying eyes of the federal government and ICE, BTW, which, while Traitor Joe and the dems are running the federal government is sort of silly since ICE doesn’t deport anyone anymore) of New York can continue housing and feeding and taking care of illegal aliens who have no business being in this country. But, none of that was about protecting actual American citizens. Not even the tiniest bit.
Between the feds and Eric Adams and his gang in New York … it’s like the Iran-Iraq War all over again. The only interest for the civilized world is seeing the war continue and be as devastating as possible … to both sides.

I’m beginning to suspect the FBI investigates the mayors of all large cities, all governors, all Congress persons, and all in the federal government within a certain upper tier. Then they act on their findings when any one of these persons steps out of line. This would explain why people seem to get ambushed by the FBI so soon after they have caused discomfort to a Democrat administration.
I believe this investigation started after he complained about the Biden Boarder Buses dumping illegals into his city. I’ve heard people refer to this as “leaving the plantation” but that sounds kinda racist so I don’t use that phrase. He should meet with and endorse Trump immediately and enjoy the meltdown.
Blacks do need to get themselves off the Democrat plantation just as Jews need to leave the Democrat Kibbutz.
Speaking of which, I think as far as leftist Jews are concerned their issue is that they hate America BUUUUUUT they also hate the Jewish state of Israel. So the task to get them off the Democrat kibbutz is twice as hard!
Love to see a corrupt Democrat get nailed. And no doubt he is very corrupt.

Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao’s home raided by FBI agents.
The FBI served warrants at Thao’s house and other properties linked to the Duong family, who have ties to the mayor and a waste management company.
This sounds suspiciously pretextaual-Adams was opposed to NYC being flooded with illegal immigrants and is a strong supporter of Israel. Any successor will unfortunately be a radical progressive

As a former NYPD Captain, Adams was part of the vast corrupt system of police corruption as revealed by the Schoolcraft scandal. See “NYPD Tapes” by Graham Raymond. New Yorkers are pretty foolish to have elected a former cop as their mayor. On the other hand, they don’t care about corruption in city government.
The real story here concerns why the feds have gone after him. According to Robert Barnes The Southern District of New York is the most corrupt of the US District Courts. No surprise again.
