Kamala Harris’s campaign tried to ding Donald Trump for holding a stop in Howell, MI, about 40 miles east of Lansing.
I guess Howell is known as “the KKK capital of Michigan.” An article from 2021 mostly talks about Lansing, but mentions Robert Miles, who lived by Howell. He was a former grand dragon of the Michigan Klan. Residents confirmed the man was full of hatred and even pushed back against a group that tried to clean the town’s image.
Harris’s campaign brought up white supremacists marching in Howell last month, yelling, “We love Hitler! We love Trump!”
We don’t even know if those people actually lived in Howell. But facts don’t matter, right?
