Secret Service Investigating Report of Agent Abandoning Trump to Breastfeed Her Baby at N.C. Rally
It could be another black eye for the Secret Service.
The Secret Service has begun an investigation into a report of an agent abandoning her post protecting Republican candidate President Donald Trump to breastfeed her baby at his North Carolina Rally.
From Newsweek: “All employees of the U.S. Secret Service are held to the highest standards. While there was no impact to the North Carolina event, the specifics of this incident are being examined. Given this is a personnel matter, we are not in a position to comment further.”
Susan Crabtree at RealClearInvestigations reported that a Secret Service (USSS) agent abandoned her post protecting Republican presidential candidate President Donald Trump to breastfeed her baby.

Shortly before Trump’s motorcade arrival — I’m told five minutes beforehand — the site agent was getting ready for the arrival. (The site agent is the person in charge of the entire event’s security.)
The site agent went to do one final sweep of the walking route and found the agent breast-feeding her child in a room that is supposed to be set aside for important Secret Service official work, i.e. a potential emergency related to the president.
A working agent on duty cannot bring a child to a protective assignment. The woman was out of the Atlanta Field Office.
The woman agent was in the room with two other family members.
The agent and her family members bypassed the Uniformed Division checkpoint and were escorted by an unpinned event staff into the room to breastfeed, the sources said. Unpinned means they have not been cleared by the Secret Service to be there.
When contacted about the incident, Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said the incident did not have an impact on the event. and it’s under review.
“All employees of the U.S. Secret Service are held to the highest standards,” he said. “While there was no impact to the North Carolina event, the specifics of this incident are being examined. Given this is a personnel matter, we are not in a position to comment further.”
So far, from what I can tell, Crabtree is the only one who has sources talking about the alleged incident.

If proven to be true don’t waste your time listening for criticism of this Agent from feminists who will not only defend this but blame the ‘patriarchy’.
I’’m not going to bother with the agent at all. Who in the USSS thinks it’s a good idea to send a breastfeeding agent on temporary duty for protective detail? There are lots of other missions that agent can support.
Perhaps the better question is why have Agents who, according to your own admission, are incapable of performing the full scope of functions of their job to include temporary assignments? Heck, why should other more capable Agents have to carry the burden of these sorts of assignments to cover down for incapable Agents?
Wouldn’t it be better to hire, train and retain Agents fully capable of accepting all the routine assignments of the Secret Service mission? If not why not? We’re not talking about some Agent being injured in the line of duty doing a desk job while they rehab.

Good grief! There’s a female agent who took the events at the Butler Rally seriously. Why wasn’t this agent and her family members arrested??? The baby sgould have been the only one crawling out of that room without handcuffs. I’m betting it was another DEI hire. Somehow, some citizens come to believe that people in power can break the rules whenever they want, so as soon as they get any iunfluence they start breaking the rules. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

If DEI hires are so awesome, why do they always get upset when we say someone is a DEI hire?
A mother’s priority is her children, especially a newborn. Nothing should interfere with that.
Similarly, someone who is entrusted with protecting POTUS, etc. should have no other priority other than that task.
If this agent is not capable of understanding this fundamental concept, she is not capable of carrying out her duties and should resign.
Disagree whoever assigner to this detail should b fired. She should b assigned other duties looking for counterfeiting for example.. desk duty somewhere.

Before I retired, we had “Bring you kid to work day” in the office, but this is taking it too far.

Nobody in my business unit actually brought their kid to work. It was always scheduled during the school year for some reason.
One time, I was where they had bring your pet day. I loved it because I got in some “dog time”.

Given recent events, it would not be unreasonable to conclude that unofficially there is a mission order to let attackers get within range of President Trump unimpeded.
However, the agent who abandoned her post fits multiple DEI categories. Therefore we can assume that there will be no punishment or negative career impacts on her for this. Further, I would not be surprised if there is not an early promotion for her.

This is the kind of thing that anyone who has some exposure to military/law enforcement procedures, especially in the case of investigating casualties, makes you laugh & sigh at the same time.
The people in authority who are investigating, knew everything that’s been slowly leaking out over the last month, within the 1st few days (& much more). These same people have submitted ‘Quick Looks’ & Updates up the chain of command periodically.
“Ongoing Investigation” will be the mantra, until the guilty have been promoted & any calls for accountability will be labeled “old news”.
And any suggestion that some people might not be well suited to the physical security job is just mean.

Oh, the third shoe has already dropped. Now the city of Palm Beach is contemplating closing Mar A Lago, because of the Secret Service’s insistence on keeping the road running alongside it closed to all traffic. They argue it makes no sense to continue to serve guests at the resort while closing the access road that runs alongside for “reasons of enhanced security due to the assassination attempt.”
Exactly how much incompetence are we supposed to tolerate out of the so-called Secret service. I’d say it’s more like time to raise their headquarters and salt the Earth where it stood and create something that doesn’t suck.
