The Kamala Harris campaign, including the candidate herself, has been engaged in extenstive outreach to “uncommitted” voters in Michigan, which is just codeword for anti-Israel voters who say they will not vote for Democrats because of the administration’s mostly-supportive posture towards Israel. The large Arab American vote in Michigan is part of that, but it’s also other far-left and progressive voters.
This has been a driving force in Biden-Harris policy for many months, with slowdowns in arms shipments to Israel to pressure a ceasefire that would save Hamas widely attributed to the Biden (now Harris) need to win Michigan. It’s the main reason Josh Shapiro was not selected as the VP nominee – because he is Jewish Shapiro was viewed as too pro-Israel, even though his positions didn’t differ much from other potential VP nominees.
Harris is staffing up her team with Jewish anti-Israel activists, the type of Jew the Democrat base doesn’t object to. This reflects the venom she exhibited towards Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Visibly Angry Kamala Harris Lashes Out At Israel After Netanyahu Meeting.
The Associated Press reports on the extensive outreach by the campaign to those anti-Israel Michigan voters, which included a previously undisclosed meeting between Kamala and the Mayor of Dearborn, Michigan:

The meeting was disclosed by a person who was not authorized to discuss it publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.The person familiar with the meeting did not provide specific details but said the focus was on Harris’ potential policy, if elected, on the Israel-Hamas conflict. There’s nothing wrong with meeting the Mayor of Dearborn, but why was it done in secret?
That’s the tell. What you see with the putative Harris-Walz administration on Israel (nominally supportive) is not what you will get.
