Kamala Harris Now Supposedly Supports the ‘Vanity Project’ Border Wall
Yeah, I doubt she supports it.
Kamala Harris has been a far-left progressive for the longest time, so I don’t believe any of her alleged moves to make her appear “moderate.”
Harris supposedly supports continuing the border wall, which she once called Trump’s “medieval vanity project.”
Hey, Kamala Harris. Guess what. You’re the current border czar. Do something now.
In her DNC acceptance speech, Harris said she would sign the bipartisan border security bill that failed in Congress.
Axios reported that Harris’s campaign confirmed she would sign the bill, which includes wall funding:
- That bill, negotiated by senators such as James Lankford (R-Okla.) and Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), requires hundreds of millions of dollars of unspent funds to be used to continue building a wall on the border.
- “It requires the Trump border wall,” Lankford told Axios. “It is in the bill itself that it sets the standards that were set during the Trump administration: Here’s where it will be built. Here’s how it has to be built, the height, the type, everything during the Trump construction.”
- Harris’ campaign says the border deal is a whole lot more than continuation of wall funding — and a tiny fraction of what Trump has proposed.
Harris’s campaign has tried to minimize the move as a “flip-flop” because the bill requires no new money for the wall.
Lankford told Axios he never saw or heard from Harris or her staff last year during the negotiations: “We never saw any vice president staff here. … She was a Johnny-come-never.”
This is the first time Harris has talked about the border deal.
Harris has hated that wall for as long as I can remember.
Look at what she said in 2019:
“Let me be very clear,” Harris said. “I’m not going to vote for a wall under any circumstances.”
“I do support border security, and if we want to talk about that, let’s do that and let’s talk about what really accomplishes border security,” Harris said, pointing to updated technology and infrastructure. “Yes, I’m all for increased border security where we needed it. I am not for a wall.”
Harris has repeatedly referred to the proposal for a border wall as a “medieval vanity project” of the president.

I have no problem criticizing this installed puppet. But all we have are leftist hacks trying to present an image they, and the Kamala campaign, think will have some appeal. Kamala has not taken an official position on this. Or anything. She quite literally has no official policies. Which must mean she hasn’t abandoned her insane failed past.

More aptly: “I will pretend to like Trump’s policies, in order to pose/playact as an allegedly pragmatic ‘moderate,’ hustle the electorate, and, get elected in November.”

The question I would ask the Democrats who oppose the border wall is:
WHY?
Border walls have proven effective, but even if they refuse to accept that fact, why should we not try using one anyway? Are you (you the Democrats, that is) now just worried about wasting money on an “ineffective” wall?
With all the money our government wastes, the cost of a wall is little more than a proverbial drop in the bucket.
The problem the Democrats have is that walls DO work.
Yes, I think Obama and Biden both have security walls around their estates. Hmmm…
And, armed guards with firearms, including, I suspect, more than a few of those so-called “assault” rifles.

That bill was sham. It permitted 5,000 illegal border crossings daily. That is 1,8250,000 per year.
I believe that allowed number in the bill excludes the million or so of “gotaways” per year they can’t really even count. The permitted number should be zero.
Plus, the fantasy was that they had any control that allowed them to turn back the invaders, after 5,000 or any other number.

The Dems know it doesn’t matter if the border fence is fifty feet tall with razor wire if the doors are open and anybody who wants can walk on in. They’ll make a lot of huffing noises between now and the election about how great they’re controlling the border and the wall going up…but the millisecond they win the Presidential election the gates will swing wide open again and the flood will continue. Ten million unvetted, unchecked, unidentified illegal immigrants is only a start. Give them four more years and they’ll more than double it and get the unrestricted citizenship with Democrat voting cards in full swing.
She must first break through the glass ceiling before building the wall. We are in for quite a floor show.
Just show her the door.

Reporter: “Kamala, what are your thoughts on border walls?”
Kamala: “I love Walz, he’s my pick for vice president. And by the way, his first name is Tim, not Border.”
If she says she’s for it, she’s lying. Everybody with a working brain knows it.
