Kamala Harris Campaign Deletes ‘Retired Command Sergeant Major’ From Walz’s Bio
The press keeps covering for him. No, Politico, it’s not a “tweak.” It’s a big deal.

I completely missed this yesterday. But I’m not surprised since so much has come out lately!
Presumptive Democratic VP candidate Gov. Tim Walz has come under fire over his claims of serving in combat. I cannot keep up with the lies.
Well, presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign changed Walz’s biography.
It no longer says “retired command sergeant major.”
Now:
Weird.
Of course, Politico said the campaign “tweaked” his biography because no biggie, right?
Because, you know, Walz and the Democrats/press haven’t embellished his military career at all:
On its website, the Harris campaign axed a reference to Walz as a “retired command sergeant major” and now says that he once served at the command sergeant major rank — a small change that nonetheless reflects his true rank at retirement from the Army National Guard. Walz, the governor of Minnesota, served for 24 years in the National Guard before retiring in 2005 from the military to run for the U.S. House, where he became the most senior enlisted soldier to serve in Congress.
At least Politico acknowledged that veterans who served with Walz have been calling him out for years.

It still gives a deliberately false impression. They might be forced to re-tweak.
Too little, much too late.
Agreed. The Harris campaign failed their only test and they’ve managed to evade any others with the help of lapdog legacy media. The new/alt media however ain’t buying it and are putting the abnormal beliefs and abhorrent records of both Harris and Walz on full display.
Does someone want to tell Jake Tapper? Yesterday, he said claims of stolen valor were “cazy”.
harris went on to deleting Attorney from her resume as she had to admit it was a rubber stamped degree she received
Attacking Walz is not attacking Harris. A distraction.
In a previous reality, Mondale had Eagleton in 1972. Eagleton was down the list and the vetting process was just like now. Harris was pulled out of primaries to prevent being type cast as a loser. The present Dem hopefuls is also don’t want the same title of loser should the sreal fail.
Attacking Walz is a direct attack on Harris’s decision making. She has made one major decision so far, and that’s her VP pick, which was a horrible pick.
McGovern, not Mondale.
Nah. Just remember to say frequently, “So when the Democrats do to Kamala what they just did to Joe…”
Just as Vance is more of a pure center/right populist than DJT, Walz is more radically woke/lefty than Harris.
The VP pick usually signals what the outer band of the political policies is gonna be. Harris in choosing Walz has demonstrated her potential admin is gonna be extremely far left. It isn’t a distraction to point that out.
I keep wondering how they failed to the vetting process with this guy. Then I remember who we’re dealing with. They probably heard “he’s a vet” and thought “Great! He’s a doggie doctor! People love dogs! He’ll really help the campaign!”
Re: The corrected version:
The son of an Army veteran and a retired command sergeant major.
The editor needs to get a refresher course.
Question: Who severed as sergeant major? The son? Or Army veteran (the father.)
The corrected version is confusing.
That’s the original version, not the corrected one.
Lots of focus on this site about Walz. I’m more concerned that Trump apparently doesn’t recall the difference between Willy Brown and Jerry Brown.
Ah, who can tell all these California Democrat philanderers apart?
The only way to keep this from completely escaping down the memory hole is to exclusively refer to him as “retired command sergeant major Tim Walz” at every opportunity.
I don’t get it. Giving him the title he falsely claimed helps?!
“I’m not a very model of a modern Command Sergeant Major…”
Walz should receive another demotion from the National Guard for having publicly lied – over and over and over – about his rank, or even have his status switched to “dishonorably discharged”. I would think that would be standard practice.
The son of a retired Army veteran AND a retired command sergeant major himself.
vs
The son of an Army veteran who served as a command sergeant major.
The first one the CMS is clearly both the father and Walz held the same rank. The latter only speaks of the father’s rank and service, but makes no mention of Walz’s rank.
Not a tweak, but a whitewash. Just like “the thing” with Trump last month.
Yeah this guy’s bio is becoming more and more into a Jimmy Buffet song ‘Son of a Son of a..’
So, we’re having an effect.
Keep it up with all of his malarkey.
The dumbest part of this whole fiasco – and something very typical of compulsive liars – is that Walz did this without even hoping to see any benefit, at all. The fact is that only a tiny percentage of Americans even know where a “Command Sergeant Major” fits in the ranks. If Walz had just said “Sergeant Major” it would have sounded exactly the same to 98% of the population (and to 100% of the population he might have gotten a vote from!). He lied for no good reason.
Now, the lies about having been in combat (by inference) was a different animal. There, he was trying to leverage a fake reputation as a “combat veteran” to help his insane, un-American push to violate the 2nd amendment and stomp all over Americans’ rights and traditions.
Too bad we can’t hand him a loaded 16 and tell him to make it safe. The collateral damage would likely be impressive.
