“How Dare We Speak Merry Christmas. How Dare We?” – Enraged Kamala 2017

A video from 2017 of an unhinged Kamala Harris berating the nation for saying Merry Christmas has emerged: “How Dare We Speak Merry Christmas. How Dare We?”

The context as described by Fox News is that:

Then-Sen. Kamala Harris warned Americans not to say “Merry Christmas” until there was permanent status for some illegal immigrants — amid a Trump-era battle over protections for some illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. as children.”And when we all sing happy tunes, and sing Merry Christmas, and wish each other Merry Christmas, these children are not going to have a Merry Christmas. How dare we speak Merry Christmas. How dare we? They will not have a Merry Christmas,” she said at a 2017 press conference, a video of which was obtained by Fox News Digital. Speakers pushed for the passage of the Dream Act, which would grant a pathway to citizenship for some illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. as minors, NBC News reported.Harris made the remarks in December 2017 at a press conference after then-President Trump had announced the end of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which shielded some illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. as minors from deportation. Harris said it was “morally wrong” to take away the existing protections for those protected by the Obama-era executive order.

She comes across as a complete angry nutter. That’s the point. Via Bonchie on X:

It’s just so perfect. What she’s saying is absurd, sure, but the mannerisms and facial expressions that come from her feigning righteous indignation? That’s something special. In just seven seconds, you get the complete Harris, and it’s not pretty. Run this on a loop.

But more than that, it’s a question that is emerging as a real campaign issue, whether she is genuine or a shape-shifter.

Issue is not whether Kamala shifted from identifying primarily as Indian to primarily as Black, it’s that her whole political career and current campaign is shape-shifting, she is whatever and whoever she needs to be at any given political moment to get ahead.

Because I split my time between Rhode Island and New York, I don’t get a good sense of what the campaign ad wars look like, because neither state is competitive. Visuals and sound bites are the thing of campaign ads, and it would seem this would be one of them.
