Another Tim Walz Life Story Lie: Falsely Claimed He Received “Outstanding Young Nebraskan” Award

Another Tim Walz Life Story Lie: Falsely Claimed He Received “Outstanding Young Nebraskan” Award

“In his 06 campaign, Walz boasted ‘that in 1993, he ‘was named the Outstanding Young Nebraskan by the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce for his service in the education, military, and small business communities.’ But he wasn’t.”

At this point, we should assume that anything Tim Walz says about his biography and achievements is a lie, until proven otherwise.

As Ben Domenech observed, Walz was a more calculating career liar than Joe Biden:

“the stories Joe Biden told were mostly of the Big Fish variety, the exaggerations of grampa. Walz’s lies are constantly in service of career advancement or injecting personal experience with partisan relevance.”

He’s like Elizabeth Warren in that regard.

Here comes another, described by Alex Thompson:

‘In his 06 campaign, Walz boasted “that in 1993, he ‘was named the Outstanding Young Nebraskan by the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce for his service in the education, military, and small business communities.’” But he wasn’t.’

From The Free Beacon:

When Tim Walz launched his 2006 campaign for Congress in rural Minnesota, he boasted in his public biography that in 1993, he “was named the Outstanding Young Nebraskan by the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce for his service in the education, military, and small business communities.” That was not true.

Walz’s 2006 boast about being named “Outstanding Young Nebraskan” can still be found in an archived version of his campaign website. That November, the president of the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce, Barry Kennedy, wrote Walz to object. “It has come to my attention that as part of your campaign for U.S. Congress, you have posted your biography on your website that claims you received an award from the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce for your service to the business community,” he stated plainly. “We researched this matter and can confirm that you have not been the recipient of any award from the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce.”

Kennedy asked that Walz remove the reference from his website and noted that the Chamber had endorsed his opponent, Gil Gutknecht, the Republican incumbent who’d held the seat since 1995. Kennedy could not be reached for comment and the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce did not respond to calls or emails seeking comment. The Harris-Walz campaign did not respond to a request for comment.

But Gutknecht, who lost to Walz that year, did speak to the Washington Free Beacon. “It fits a pattern of misleading and fabricated statements he has made throughout his political and personal life,” he recalled. “All political figures are guilty of a bit of puffery. He frequently went well beyond that into prevarication.”

There’s something very strange and very off about this guy. He’s weird.

This dude is like Uncle Rico in Napoleon Dynamite. It’s as if he believes the achievements and/or events he lies about are things that ‘should have/could have’ happened so telling the world his delusional fantasies is justified. ‘If Coach had just put me in…I know we would’ve won’.

I don’t know the movie reference, but the rest of your comment seems spot on.

You should check the movie b/c Harris is running the same sort of campaign as Pedro’s opponent for Student Council President; ‘Vote for Summer and it’ll be Summer all year long’.

I’m looking at that picture, and can’t get “The hills are alive….!” out of my mind.

Dick Cavett was Nebraska state gymnastics champion or something. It’s a weird state.

    That’s pretty impressive, if true.

Walz says that he was the age-group national champion on the balance beam in 8th grade, which gives some insight to his tampon obsession.

That’s probably why he joined the Guard at 17. He wanted inject some manhood into his persona.

My bet. Walz was the guy at the bar regaling everyone of his combat prowess during a peacetime military.

“I can kill you with one finger!”

We all know the type. All talk and no action. Which he proved time and again.

Takes after his daddy, Joe Biden.

He’s fabricated so much of his personal history, at this point, what’s our confidence level his name is actually ‘Tim Walz?’

In the south he would be called a lying son-of-a-bitch, to his face and on billboards.

He is PERFECT for Fala-lala-Harris, just like Joe yet anally retentive. That’s more than can be said for Jerry Nadler.

Walz lies like a banshee, but the weird thing is what he lies abotu. He seems to like to lie about things, generally, that don’t even matter to anyone. When he lied about being a Command Master Sergeant, it was something that most people had never even heard of. Very few, outside of the military, know all of the non-com ranks and what they mean. Walz was lying about something that would go right past most folks. There was absolutely no reason to lie about it. There was nothing to gain. The only people who would understand what it meant would be more likely to find out that it was a lie.

And here, Walz is lying about:

“was named the Outstanding Young Nebraskan by the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce for his service in the education, military, and small business communities.”

Who would even care about some penny-ante award given out by a Chamber of Commerce chapter in the middle of nowhere? Why even try to bring something like this up – even if it were true? And who boasts about his own little awards, anyway?

I’m willing to bet that, at some point, Walz made a big deal about how many gold stars he got one week in 1st grade … and it was a complete fabrication. That’s the sort of thing he likes to lie about. It seems, really, that he lies more out of a love of lying than anything else. Lying is his great passion, evidently.

    Walz lies like a banshee

Do banshees lie?! I thought the fae couldn’t.

I don’t believe they are known for that. Rather, the fae are extremely literal and very specific about bargains which usually are not to the benefit of the person making one with them.

“When he lied about being a Command Master Sergeant, it was something that most people had never even heard of.”

I had never heard of that Enlisted rank and I’m retired Army. Maybe an Air Force rank? Walz was frocked * as a Command Sergeant Major E9, but having failed to complete the required training he was reduced to Master Sergeant E8 the day before his retirement was effective.

    * Frocked – in the military a temporary appointment/promotion. George Armstrong Custer was frocked a Brigadier General and then Major General in the US Volunteers. After the war he was returned to active duty in the US Army at his permanent rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Wrote how he was Bidenesque a couple of days ago. It’s uncanny. A braggart that inflates what he does and gets upset when called out. A pretend man of the people. It will only get worse with this guy. He’s a disaster with his dishonesty and, as worse, his decision making and policies.

Vance is more impressive by the day. Hope he mops the floor with “Coach.”

The list of what A-Walz HASN’T lied about is probably much shorter than the list of lies we already know about.

“At this point, just assume that everything Walz says is a lie until proven otherwise.”

‘Harris/Walz! Uh….. yeah, that’s the ticket!”

For Dems, lying about your personal/academic/professional accomplishments is a bona fide path to success. Just ask Joe Biden.

AF_Chief_Master_Sgt | August 25, 2024 at 1:21 pm

Tim Walz reminds me of the dad in the movie “Big Fish.”

But that dad was well meaning and could back up his tall tails.

Biden and Walz are outright liars and get incensed when called out for their lies.

I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t know the difference between objective and nominative pronouns.

Recalling Steven Brill’s 1976 article about Jimmy Carter, it may be time for someone to catalog “Tim Walz’s Pathetic Lies”.
