Netanyahu Says Israel Committed to Victory Over Hamas as Biden Admin Presses For a Ceasefire Deal

Prime Minister Netanyahu: “The military was systematically destroying Hamas and governing capabilities while at the same time working toward the release of the hostages.”

With President Joe Biden’s administration pressuring Israel to agree on a ceasefire in Gaza, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that his country was committed to a complete military victory over the terrorist group Hamas.

Prime Minister “Netanyahu on Sunday said the IDF was pummeling Hamas to destroy its military capabilities, on its path to total victory and the release of the hostages,” the Israeli news YNET website reports.

“The military was systematically destroying Hamas and governing capabilities while at the same time working toward the release of the hostages,” Netanyahu said.

“Far too many civilians have been killed,” Harris pushes Hamas talking point, calls for Gaza ceasefire

The statement comes as the Biden-Harris administration joined Qatar — a leading Hamas patron — in calling for a Gaza ceasefire.

“The US, Egypt and Qatar are making an urgent push to conclude long-running talks on a ceasefire and hostage deal between Israel and Hamas amid intense diplomatic efforts to defuse regional hostilities,” London-based Financial Times reported Friday. “US President Joe Biden, his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Qatar’s emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani called on the two sides “to resume urgent discussions in Doha or Cairo to close remaining gaps” and “commence implementation of the deal without further delay”.”

Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate, Kamala Harris, on Friday, again called for a ceasefire in Gaza. “I have been clear: now is the time to get a ceasefire deal and get the hostage deal done,”  Harris told anti-Israel protesters at a campaign rally in Arizona.

“Yet again, far too many civilians have been killed,” Harris later told reporters, mouthing a talking point peddled by Hamas and its supporters in the West.

Report: Hamas refuses to participate in hostage talks

Hamas has refused to participate in the latest round of hostage negotiations, Axios correspondent Barak Ravid reported Sunday afternoon. Around 115 Israeli hostages, including women and children, are believed to be in the captivity of the Gaza-based terrorist group for over 10 months.

IDF to evacuate parts of Khan Yunis after Hamas fired rocket from humanitarian zone

The IDF on Sunday urged Gazans to evacuate parts of Khan Yunis humanitarian area after Hamas fired rockets from southern Gaza safe zone.

“The instructions were transmitted via leaflets dropped from aircraft, SMS messages, phone calls and media broadcasts, with the military saying that the early warning was aimed at mitigating harm to civilians,” the Times of Israel reported.

The evacuation is temporary and aims to “prevent Hamas from using residents of the safe zone as human shields,” the IDF assured.

“Due to significant terrorist activity, exploitation of the Humanitarian Area for terrorist activity and rocket fire toward the State of Israel from the Aljalaa area, remaining in this area has become dangerous. Accordingly, at this time, the Humanitarian Area will be adjusted,” the IDF announced in a press statement Sunday. “The adjustment is being carried out in accordance with precise intelligence indicating that Hamas has embedded terrorist infrastructure in the area defined as a Humanitarian Area.”

Rafah counter-terrorism operation continues

Israeli ground troops were pushing ahead with their operation in the Hamas terror stronghold of Rafah. “IDF troops are continuing to conduct precise, intelligence-based operations in the Rafah area,” the military disclosed in a press release.

On Sunday morning “IDF troops identified a terrorist cell exiting a tunnel shaft in the area of Rafah. The IAF struck and eliminated the terrorists,” the military added.

IDF conducts drills in the north as Iran and Hezbollah renew terror threats

Amid growing threats of an attack from Iran and its terrorist proxy Hezbollah, the IDF conducted a series of military drills for the reservists in northern Israel. The drill included combat operations in mountainous terrain, similar to the one occupied by Hezbollah terrorist forces in southern Lebanon.

The IDF disclosed the details of the exercise:

In recent days, the soldiers of the 646th Reserve Brigade completed a brigade-level exercise in the northern arena. The brigade moved north for the exercise after operating in the central and southern Gaza Strip and carrying out operational activities in Judea and Samaria.

The forces practiced combat scenarios in which they improved their tactical skills, including movement in dense terrain, advancing along mountain terrain, and directing firepower in enemy territory. Additionally, the brigade trained for scenarios of evacuating wounded from the battlefield under fire and the cooperation between various units.

The exercise is part of a series of exercises conducted by ground forces in the northern arena, led by the National Center for Ground Training.

I was going to make the same comment, but with the addition of “What has the Biden-Harris administration been doing? Coddling Iran.”

The consistent mantra from globalist central is always “Israel must cease fire” but never “Hamas must surrender.” I wonder why?

    Because:

    1. democrats must appease Muslim voters who are threatening not to vote.

    2. there’s no need to appease Jewish voters who faithfully vote democrat no matter what.

    3. when the US shows support for Israel there are widespread protests and demonstrations.

    4. when the US does not support Israel there are no protests or demonstrations.

More like appease the anti Western globalist views of the lefty wokiestas that any conflict with the goal of undermining/defeating Western Civilization aka ‘the colonialists’ for whom no tactic is too extreme.

Do not make the mistake of limiting these views to Muslim voters in the West. It is a standard neo Marxist lefty wokiesta viewpoint that the West, capitalism, free speech, open inquiry/discussion, reason/logic are relics of the ‘patriarchal, oppressive, colonizing era’.

As far as I am concerned, terms should be Hamas unconditional surrender, followed by war crimes trials and execution’s.

Why would Israel ever consider a *ceasefire* with Iran or Hamas? Those radical groups have NEVER entered into a peace deal they honoured. Absolutely a 100% record of breaking their word; And honour is a word they can’t begin to comprehend.

Where does this hatred emanate? JEALOUSY and raging consternation that their *Allah* didn’t give them the advanced brains that most of the people of Israel are born with.

Ashkenazy RULES and that drives their neighbours absolutely NUTS!!

If Hamas had a sincere desire for a cease fire, why did they violate the (relative) peace of 10/6/23?

    “Remember, you wanted this.”
    Jack Reacher (Tom Cruise)

The Obama/Harris regime is going to exert maximum pressure on Israel to stop the war and return Hamas to power. That is a major campaign issue and a fundamental foreign policy objective to remove Israel as a political/military force in the middle east and install Iran as a regional super power.

Rescuing American and Israeli hostages are not a concern for the regime nor is the promise of more and worse Oct 7 type attacks by Hamas.

Trump needs to DAILY point out that AMERICAN hostages have NOT been released and AMERICANS have been murdered by Hamas with no repercussions from the Harris/biden regime

The government of Israel should NEVER depend on US representations of support as a basis for any dealing with terrorist groups for a ceasefire or anything. Aside from the detail that the current administration is on the side of Hamas, et. al. against Israel [and that goes all the way down through the permanent foreign policy bureaucracy] there is the detail that given the current CCC that our government is; nobody knows who or what exactly is defining US foreign policy or how long they will be in power. Biden is 10-7 most of the time and is subject to debate on whether the 25th Amendment should be invoked. Vice President Harris denies being in charge of anything, and we should be grateful. The rest of the US chain of command is . . . murky at best.

Israel is the only one who can guarantee its own interests and survival.

“I have been clear: now is the time to get a ceasefire deal and get the hostage deal done.”

This sounds like something a progressive cat lady with hundreds of bumper stickers on her Subaru would say.

That is to say that it is in equal parts naive, stupid and dangerous.

There’s a reason we don’t listen to cat ladies. They’re crazy.

The smart thing for Bibi to do is to render Gaza uninhabitable for 1,000 years. And if Iran gets cute, not to be afraid to make Tehran glow. If that sounds extreme, well that’s too bad. I subscribe to two quotes from W.T. Sherman:

“ War is cruelty, and you cannot refine it; and those who brought war into our country deserve all the curses and maledictions a people can pour out.”

And

“War is the remedy that our enemies have chosen, and I say let us give them all they want.”

Put that next to the “coexist” bumper sticker on AF2, Harris.

There is war in the Middle East, and often elsewhere, because Islam glorifies it. They aren’t even as civilized as Robt. E. Lee, a product of western civilization born nearly 220 years ago.

“It is well that war is so terrible, otherwise we should grow too fond of it.”

JohnSmith100 in reply to Peter Moss. | August 11, 2024 at 8:45 pm

I agree, furthermore if one is going to wage war, it should be all out until an opponent is defeated. The faster that happens, the lower overall suffering.

Was it Ruthie Blum or Caroline Glick who recently wrote that the U.S. talks as though Bibi had the hostages locked up in his basement?

Meanwhile he has agreed to return to negotiations, Hamas announced this morning that they will not send anyone to the negotiations, yet Kamala, Biden & Blinken continue to point their fingers at Israel.

It’s contemptible. The Dhimmi-crats’ unspoken rule is that Muslims, even if they happen to be rabid, goose-stepping, unrepentantly genocidal, Jew-hating Islamofascists, terrorists and supremacists, are beyond reproach and can never be criticized, because they belong to an alleged class of victims. Thus, all the criticism falls to Israeli Jews and non-Israeli Jews who support Israel, because they are the alleged “colonial” “oppressor.”

guyjones in reply to guyjones. | August 12, 2024 at 9:17 am

Jews are the “colonists” who colonized the middle east millennia before Islam was founded. And, further, the etymology of the word “Palestine” reveals its origin as a contrivance by the ancient Romans, after they had conquered Judaea, renaming the area “Palaestina” — derived from the word “Philistines,” and, intended to be an insult/rebuke to the Jews. All of this transpiring some 670 years before Islam’s founding.

What galls me is how much easier this battle against the genocidal, goose-stepping and evil Hamas Islamofascists/Muslim supremacists/terrorists could have been, and, indeed, should have been, if the U.S. and European powers had staunchly and unequivocally backed Israel’s fully legitimate and morally justified reprisals, from the beginning. Hamas would be destroyed, by now, and, a better day for Gaza, Israel and the middle east, at-large, would be realized.

Instead, Israel is taking more casualties than it otherwise would have, with full-throated western support behind it.

I’m old enough to remember when there wasn’t a whole lot to chat about …with those who kidnap, rape, massacre, and mutilate.

This is what a stud leader who has his own nations very exitance at stake and is unwilling to to cow tow to the mob looks like. I wish we had leaders in the US like this
