U. of California Regent Proposes Making Anti-Israel Protesters Pay for the Millions in Damage They Caused

“spent around $29 million responding to the pro-Palestine encampments”

This is absolutely what should happen. Why aren’t more people calling for this?

Campus Reform reports:

UC regent proposes making anti-Israel protesters pay for damage they caused, totaling $12 million

The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) has reportedly spent millions of dollars during and in the aftermath of the pro-Palestine demonstrations on its campus, leading some officials to consider forcing participants of the anti-Israel displays to help foot the bill.

According to The Los Angeles Times, one University of California regent said that he was “surprised” by the amount of money spent in response to the encampments and that the university system should demand reimbursement from students who committed specific acts of vandalism and destroyed school property.

In May, for instance, one group of protestors was detained by law enforcement officials, who found that they had zip ties, metal pipes, super glue, and “documentation encouraging violence and vandalism.”

By contrast, Graeme Blair, a political science professor at UCLA and a member of the school’s “Faculty for Justice in Palestine” group, argued against the use of taxpayer dollars entirely, characterizing the protests as students “standing up for their beliefs.”

“We should spend precious California tax dollars on teaching and learning,” Blair stated. “Not punishing our students for standing up for their beliefs and the Palestinian people.”

UCLA spent nearly $12 million on increased campus security during and in the immediate aftermath of the protests, according to an estimate from the UCLA Compliance Office that was obtained by The Daily Bruin.

On top of that, the university reportedly spent nearly $500,000 on restoration following the damage that was done by the anti-Israel demonstrators.

UCLA’s expense for managing and cleaning up the results of the protest constitutes only a plurality of the expenditure of the University of California system as a whole, which, as Campus Reform has reported, spent around $29 million responding to the pro-Palestine encampments.

“This is absolutely what should happen. Why aren’t more people calling for this?”

Because we have been groomed (to accept it, and more). And the grooming will continue, if we allow it.

Last week the Vice President of the USA lectured the PM of Israel about images of gaza suffering

omitting the fact that the gazans invaded Israel and are holding kidnapped children captive. (along with rape babies presumably)

omitting the fact that gazans are holding American citizens captive.

This is UpsideDownWorld stuff.

Kamala and her step daughter and others have been groomed.

I actually believe if you had asked Kamala 30 years ago whether she’d ever condone rape and murder and kidnapping, she would have replued, “Of course not.”

She’s been groomed.

The Germans were groomed in the 1930s
The Chinese were groomed by Mao , many other examples

But the truly most effective grooming since the 1970s is the palestinian/iranian “everything is the joooos” — and so if the hamasniks in the USA “just” destroy millions in property, the authorities (have been groomed to) regard it as a successful event lololol because there was no massacre or bombings lolol

The grooming will continue.

Until morale improves lolol

And she said it was impossible to stay silent while children were dying. So far she has been silent for three days after more than a dozen Israeli children were murdered while playing soccer by Iran’s puppet Hizbollah.

^^^Yes. The hypocrisy is so thick , and it’s done with a straight/serious face. It’s the CAIR view of the universe:

      1. Arabs kill Jews, it’s the Jews fault.
      2. Jews are raped, it’s the Jews fault.
      3. Arabs slaughter Arabs, its the Jews fault.

(Little girls butchered in Southport UK a couple days ago —-> nary a peep from …….. well, anyone. Why? We’ve been groomed to accept this. By CAIR, by mayor of London etc etc)

If anyone anywhere in Dar al-Islam wanted Israel to stop trying to rescue its citizens,

there would be calls for Israeli captives to be released.

It’s really quite simple.

From their point of view, basically they are winning: They’ve never been closer to destroying Israel — militarily and economically and diplomatically.

The grooming will continue.
The kidnapping will continue.
The rockets will continue.
The IEDs will continue.
The raping and bombs will continue all over the world
And it’ll all be the Joooos

A UC regent proposed this?
Now I can’t stop looking for horsemen.

“We should spend precious California tax dollars on teaching and learning,”

Crocodile tears from a lying sack of shite. NOW you’re concerned about “precious” tax dollars? Ka-ching, No Sale.

A lying fraud like every other so-called progressive.

Those “protestors” are deadbeats, couch surfing and living off instant ramen. No ability to pay. Make them do menial labor instead, pick up litter.

If not money (because most are indigent) then they should be working clean up and repairs as a condition of reinstatement.

Don’t worry though, I’m sure they will add a new student protest cleanup fee to the bill for tuition & fees.

Pepsi_Freak | July 30, 2024 at 4:28 pm

“Indigent”? What about the Soros and other’s money used to fund these “rent-a-mob” employees (and Heels-Up’s NGO which funds their bail)? Someone is funding their expenses and paying for the professionally-made signs, and that entity ought to be held responsible.

But UCal won’t even hold the rioters themselves responsible. Bah!

Yes, they are funded but you can’t sue them for damages because the antifa types themselves don’t hold any of the money. Money is evil according to them…and they believe a socialist government should take care of all their needs as long as they are good little soldiers.
