Trump Shooter Had Connections to Pittsburgh-Area Community College and Two Universities

“We can confirm that Thomas Matthew Crooks graduated from the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) with an AS degree in Engineering Science in May 2024”

He was actually enrolled at one school for this fall.

FOX News reports:

Trump shooter connected to Pittsburgh-area community college, two universities

Thomas Matthew Crooks, who attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday, had just earned a college degree in engineering from an area community college two months ago.

“We can confirm that Thomas Matthew Crooks graduated from the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) with an AS degree in Engineering Science in May 2024,” the college told Fox News.

“Like all Americans, we are shocked and saddened by the horrific turn of events that took place in Butler, Pa., on Saturday,” CCAC wrote in their statement. “We are grateful that former President Trump is safe and recovering, and we extend our condolences to the family of Corey Comperatore on their loss, and offer our thoughts and prayers to all others who have been impacted by this tragedy.”

“As the investigation into this weekend’s events continues, CCAC will fully cooperate with members of law enforcement,” the statement continued. “The college will provide information in keeping with college policies and law enforcement protocols and practices.”

After graduation, Crooks applied to the University of Pittsburgh and was accepted as a transfer student for this upcoming fall, college spokesperson Jared Stonesifer told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Instead, he planned to enroll at Robert Morris University, school spokesperson Brian Edwards confirmed to the outlet.

I will try ONCE AGAIN to post this, but will leave out links. The Fox News article has a link to a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette article: More details emerge about Thomas Crooks, the Bethel Park man who tried to assassinate Donald Trump. (link left out to try to defeat spam filter)
The article discusses his college record and also points out the reclusive nature of Thomas Crooks and his parents:

Sandy Kovalik lives just two doors up the road from the Crooks family house. “I always go for walks and never see anyone outside,” she said.
Another neighbor, who only wanted to be identified by her first name Amy, said the only time she saw someone at the Crooks’ house was when someone was cutting the grass.

There is an interesting coincidence here. Dan Kovalik is a Pittsburgh-based attorney cum “human rights activist” who has a record of looney lefty activism. He has written some articles for the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. In addition, he has written some books. Examples: The Plot to Overthrow Venezuela, The Plot to Attack Iran, among others. You might call me biased, but in my opinion anyone who supports the dictatorship in Chavista Venezuela is a loony lefty. (Dan Kovalik has his own website. Link once again left out to try to defeat spam filter>)

Given that Dan Kovalik and Sandy Kovalik are both in the Pittsburgh area, there is a good possibility that they are relatives. There are not a lot of Kovaliks. Nonetheless, as Sandy Kovalik apparently had no contact with Thomas Crooks or his parents, it is even less likely that Thomas Crooks had any contact with loony lefty Dan Kovalik. It is probably just an interesting coincidence.

Kovalik is one of a number of spellings of a large Polish family name. There were many who emigrated in the early 20th century. A whole bunch ended up in upstate NY and some in western PA/Ohio.
