Report: Schumer Told Biden ‘It Would be Better for the Country if He Ended His Reelection Bid’

“Schumer forcefully made the case that it would be better for Biden, better for the Democratic party, and better for the country if he were to bow out.”

ABC News reported that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer told President Joe Biden on Saturday that he should step aside.

The Ruthless Podcast had the report earlier:

Weird, though, how the national news reports it after Biden tested positive for COVID, forcing him to back out of a Nevada speech.

It’s also not much of a surprise since Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries pushed to delay the virtual roll call for the DNC nomination vote.

Schumer’s statement…is not a denial.

Because they are trying to save democracy, they must engage in acts that any despot would heartily approve. Fraudulent, deceptive actors, with Schumer leading the way. Major sleaze!

I take that as authoritative as the same applies to Senator Schumer.

And Rep. Pelosi.

Anyone else get the feeling that the D’s are headed for an apocalyptic blowout?

Report: Schumer Told Biden ‘It Would be Better for the Country if He Ended His Reelection Bid’

Laura Ingraham just reported that dirtbag Hakeem Jeffries said the same thing.

The rats are abandoning the ship now that the “insurance policy” failed miserably and everything seems about to blow up.

Come on Joe, stick it out, 87% of Democratswant YOU

,( at least until say October)

So, to “save democracy” they must cast aside their democratically elected nominee and install someone that was selected by their voters? Sounds legit….

Biden needs to stay. It would be such a blow to democracy if all the millions of primary voters were to be disenfranchised. Now, if Biden were to be diagnosed with some medical condition, like electionlossaphobia, that might be a different situation.

So, who’s going to be Harris’ Veep? Would they put two women on the same ticket? What about two minorities? I’m just praying they don’t pull some kind of 11th hour shenanigans and bypass Harris altogether. She has all the problems that Biden has…and maybe a few more. Trump wouldn’t have to adjust his messaging at all.

But… save the cheerleader, save the campaign warchest!

To bypass Harris would need approval from Jim Clyburn and his faction behind the scenes and even with approval by the party insiders …. selling this idea to their own voters steeped in the doctrine of identity politics… kicking a female, daughter of immigrants, 1/2 Jamaican, 1/2 Punjab to the curb, the sitting VP and heir apparent no less for who? Newsom, Whitmer? The dude that won the Maryland Gov race? Then there’s the Obama faction v Clinton faction dynamic and will the Bernie/occupy wing who got hosed three straight primaries be OK with this level of shenanigans? Last what will d/prog voters think about such a move when all choices were kept off d/prog primary ballots and the party insiders just pick someone without their input?

IMO the nest course for d/prog is to bite the bullet, invoke the 25th amendment and put VP Harris in as the POTUS and as nominee unless Biden agrees to step down as POTUS, cite his ‘sudden health issues’, so he can salvage a little dignity. His ego is enormous and Jill likes the WH and he is unlikely to go quietly for anything less.

The Dems could suddenly discover that Kamala’s own father said she was descended from a slave-owner?

Sure if they thought it would work there’s very little the d/prog won’t do to retain power.

coup d’état /koo͞″ dā-tä′/ (noun)

The sudden overthrow of a government by a usually small group of persons in or previously in positions of authority.

Hey Schumer, the country would be better off if you ate a box of rat poison.

WaPo is reporting that contrary to earlier reports, the DNC is moving forward with the ‘virtual roll call’ to nominate Biden AHEAD of the convention beginning. Wut? The article is full of Democrat anxiety about the whole mess, which is entertaining.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/elections/2024/07/17/biden-democratic-roll-call-nomination/

But for the debate, another stupendous Biden decision, the Democrats were fully prepared to hide his condition. They cannot be trusted to do the right thing.

I demand that my vote for Biden in the NC primary be counted ..
I will NOT be disenfranchised
if you dare disenfranchise me I will
vote for Trump.
I am a NC independent .. so I am able to vote in either primary…

    diver64 in reply to jqusnr. | July 18, 2024 at 5:50 am

That is actually the right attitude. If I had voted for Biden in the primary Dems force him out of the race I’d be very angry. Not sure Trump would be my choice, probably RFK, Jr, but I sure would abandon the Dems.

BigRosieGreenbaum | July 17, 2024 at 11:10 pm

You know what else would be good for the country Chuck? If you and you girlfriends and the rest of your posse also resign.

“better for the country” = better for D’s electoral chances

As always, D’s only care about maintaining their own power.

In his entire life Joe Biden has never cared about what was ‘better for’ anything or anybody other than Joe Biden.

McGehee 🇺🇲 Trump 2024 | July 18, 2024 at 4:17 am

“The country? Who care about the country? What did the country ever do for me? All the votes I need come from the city.”
–Joe Biden, probably

If Biden and his family got millions from all over the world for decades, I think it very true, where is the friggen money? Why is no one looking for it?
