Report: MSNBC Yanks Morning Joe to Avoid Possible ‘Inappropriate’ Comments About Assassination Attempt on Trump
You KNOW someone would have said something on the notorious anti-Trump show.
MSNBC yanked Morning Joe on Monday morning, supposedly to avoid any possible idiotic statements from panelists on the notorious anti-Trump show after the former president’s assassination attempt.
You know, it’s probably smart on their part:
A person familiar with the matter told CNN that the decision was made to avoid a scenario in which one of the show’s stable of two dozen-plus guests might make an inappropriate comment on live television that could be used to assail the program and network as a whole. Given the breaking news nature of the story, the person said, it made more sense to continue airing rolling breaking news coverage in the fraught political moment.
“Given the gravity and complexity of this unfolding story, NBC News, NBC News NOW and MSNBC have remained in rolling breaking news coverage since Saturday evening,” a spokesperson for NBCUniversal News Group said in a statement to CNN. “As we continue to cover this story into the week, the networks will continue to cross simulcast, alternating between NBC News, NBC News NOW and ‘MSNBC Reports,’ so there is one news feed covering this developing situation.”

MSNBC decided to continue running special coverage of the assassination attempt.
The anti-Trump show regularly warns viewers that Trump is a threat to our non-existent democracy (Constitutional federal republic!). I never watch it, but has any guest ever claimed that Trump would put gays in concentration camps? I’m sure many guests have said something along the lines of allowing Russia to take over the world.

Much more likely Joe and Mika would say multiple things that are inappropriate, and we all know it.
Meanwhile, Facebook feeds of millions of users are being inundated with distraction and delay along with tons of ads.
Things deemed acceptable to say on Friday are now considered inappropriate to say on Monday.

That happened when Dems started of have that squeezy is feeling that their jig is just about up, and that they are going to be held accountable. Criminal prosecutions and civil lawsuits. Dems have very dark days ahead.
Hopefully, they will be held accountable in the marketplace because there’s zero chance of them being held accountable in any court of law, as obvious as it’s been for the last 8 years that an assassination attempt was the inevitable conclusion of their gaslighting rhetoric. There’s simply too many of them, and their speech is arguably too close to 1A.
Nonetheless, the assassin was 20 years old, so he’d been hearing this hateful, libelous rhetoric since age 12. This is North Korean level of brainwashing.
I’d argue even younger. Starting at 2008 when Obama was elected. Especially if his parents were lefties. He’d have been four years old but he’s probably grown up his whole life hearing that Republicans/Conservative/The Right are evil.
Unless they yank Joe forever, he will mouth an inappropriate comment sooner or later
The probability of these two nitwits saying something that would get them fired and MSNBC sued for a billion bucks is roughly 110% The safest thing for MSNBC to do is to leave Morning Joe off the air for a week or two, and quietly replace it with a real news program. If they have one.
