Report: Local Law Enforcement Offered Drones To Secret Service Before Trump Was Nearly Assassinated, Were Refused

How does this happen?

I do, on occasion, don a very spiffy and quite sparkly tinfoil tiara, but I am always aware that I’m engaging in silly speculation, nothing real or concrete. Nothing, in other words, to cause alarm.

With this assassination attempt on President Trump, however, I am becoming increasingly alarmed. And I don’t even need a tinfoil tiara to make me so. Everything about this is wrong. How was a shooter allowed on a roof that close to Trump? It was sloping? It was too hot? Are you kidding me?

And now we are learning that local law enforcement in Pennsylvania offered the Secret Service use of their drones to cover the area . . . and were declined.

How. Does. This. Happen?

Seriously, at this point it makes no sense that this was just some gangling gamer kid who showed up to kill (reportedly for no known reason) President Trump. He reportedly searched for information about the JFK assassination; my guess is that he didn’t know what the word “patsy” meant and was kind of wondering. I wonder if he knew he would die that day?

Anyway, none of this adds up.

Yeah, it’s looking very odd, that’s for sure.

Doesn’t the money-is-no-object Federal government have its own drones?

My guess is that the locals were alarmed that there was no drone coverage and offered their own to sort of point out the lapse without seeming to tell the feds their job. The denial should have sent shock waves through local LE, maybe it did. There is reason to believe that the local cop who climbed up on the roof caused the would-be assassin to panic, firing wildly rather than carefully. We don’t know, will never know, but that local cop may have saved Trump’s life just as much as his sudden head turn to the visual. God was with Trump that day.

Fuzzy, there is an additional reason to believe why or what may have helped to save Trump’s life on July 13. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) did his homework assignment.

Before the rally in Butler, several media outlets reported that Johnson had met with Trump and shown him a new chart based on updated immigration data. Trump liked the chart and expressed interest in using it at future rallies. The timing of his neck turn with the pivot to the right and Trump’s decision to address the chart may have been providential.

They gave them all to China and Ukraine. 🙂

“”I wonder if he knew he would die that day?””

I would think not, if the conspiracy theories are at all right. I think he expected to be able to get off a few shots and ride away without incident. It’s entirely possible that he was assured by his handlers that no serious response would occur.

Full intellectual capacity comes at about 25. Clearly he did not understand how quickly he would be neutralized.

I agree with that. The 20 yr old kid didn’t come up with this on his own and the sheer lack of security was intentional. I also took note that within , what , 2 days?, suddenly biden has covid(which all of us know he didn’t) and he goes to his basement. I suggest he knew he to get rid of Pres Trump and he knew that because he had been warned by his marxist party, if he didn’t get rid of him they were going to replace him. I think he may have been scared after the failed attempt and knew he was done, he hid in his basement, out of fear and depression, he was done.

JohnSmith100 | July 25, 2024 at 3:41 pm

It looks like the Secret Service is compromised, perhaps Trump should hire mercenaries and government should cover the cost.

My tiara isn’t sparkly as some are, but the tinfoil lining my welding hood has melted into an ore of unknown origin.

“Yeah .. what they said! Don’t you know about flying turtles? What are you, stupid??” — Cringe Jean-Pierre

I don’t know for sure, but seems to me the Deep State was allowing holes in the security letting anyone get through that wanted to.
Maybe hoping someone would. We are not yet to finding Crooks had higher help

Okay…. I haven’t subscribed to the conspiracy theory yet, but I am totally all in on Criminal Negligence charges for everyone in the Secret Service chain.

I am sure that Milhouse will ( and no doubt correctly as he usually is) will tell me that it’s not possible, but hey – why start worrying about laws at this point.

Milhouse in reply to Hodge. | July 26, 2024 at 12:00 am

Of course it’s possible. Anything’s possible, even an outright conspiracy, let alone what you’re suggesting, which is just hubris and a lackadaisical attitude to their duty. “Nah, we’ve got this covered. After all, we’re the Secret Service!”.

CaptTee in reply to Milhouse. | July 26, 2024 at 3:36 pm

You are right. thinking you are smarter than you really are explains a lot of their stupidity, but as more and more information comes out it is becoming harder to believe that they were not in on the attempted assassination or were “innocent” and just hoping someone would try to pull one off and they didn’t want to make it too difficult for the assassin to get the job done.

Zarus in reply to Hodge. | July 26, 2024 at 8:00 pm

I recall 15 years ago, I thought that people , repubs, were throwing out conspiracy theories that were just simply nonsense. After a few years of watching those conspiracy theories turn into reality, I changed my mind. A little more time and you too will find that out.

Like Cheatal covering up by not answering anything.
She sounded like she was hiding something.

The only reason you don’t want the drones is if you don’t want to stop the guy who’s about to murder your boss’s primary obstacle to reelection. Res ipsa loquitur.

If Republicans aren’t scrubbing every bank account affiliated with every member of that USSS protective detail, they’re doing it wrong. Somebody got paid that day.

Anyway, none of this adds up.

It all adds up.

And everyone knows it.

I have a bet on how many days in a row can there be new shocking revelations about the attack on Trump. I lost.

Report: Local Law Enforcement Offered Drones To Secret Service Before Trump Was Nearly Assassinated, Were Refused

Deja vu …

“Trump offered 10,000 National Guard To Pelosi And Bowser For Jan 6 Protection. Was Refused.”

Wray is a Dick

Is it more likely that someone planned a conspiracy that involved so many layers of cooperation in what looks like incredible incompetence to the point of criminal malfeasance
Or
That there were so many layers of glaring incompetence without someone stepping up earlier than a guy being hoisted up to look that hurried the shooter???

I saw an interesting video, sorry can’t link, by people who looked like they knew what they were talking about with weaponry and ballistics. The bottom line was that the weapon the shooter used was inherently accurate to only a grouping of about 4.5”-6” diameter at the distance- a crappy weapon not as accurate as a reasonable deer hunting rifle. No way he “could have been aiming at the ear”, and almost random vs. providential that he missed a lethal shot.

    Idk what to think, myself.

henrybowman in reply to MDP. | July 25, 2024 at 11:01 pm

An AR-15 was an absolute crap choice of weapon for a sniper job, end of story.

      ttucker99 in reply to henrybowman. | July 26, 2024 at 6:44 pm

An AR-15 (or the military M-16) was not designed to be a sniper rifle. It was designed to be a normal infantry weapon. So it can hit a human size target at 200-300 yards but you aren’t going to pull off a head shot. The shooter had been on a rifle team in high school and probably thought he could pull off the head shot but he should have aimed center mass. Not as sure of a kill shot as a head shot but much more likely to hit.

The more we hear about this the harder it is to look at this and then assume that that it’s all accidental and incompetence at work

One thing is certain: THEY did not expect Trump to survive.

Just like THEY did not expect Hillary to lose.

No they didn’t and biden having already been warned by his marxist to get rid of Pres Trump or they would get rid of him went and hid in his basement out of fear and depression. What was 3 or 4 days later he quit the run?

destroycommunism | July 25, 2024 at 9:47 pm

the ss was in fact going to accept the drones until they realized that the drones were highly intelligent and were more white than they wanted

inspectorudy | July 26, 2024 at 1:02 am

I am not a person who jumps to conspiracy theories but as the facts come in, it is hard to not see one. The first bad fact was that the USSS did not attend the local and state security briefing. Then we found out that several agents were not active protection agents but were just from many different jobs. It has been proven that local and federal agents were not on the same radio frequency. The local police chief said they were there for crowd control and traffic but not protection. Then we find out there were local police snipers there. Drones were offered but refused by the SS. The SS were aware 15 minutes before Trump took the stage that a suspicious person had disappeared but Trump was allowed to take the stage anyway. Jill Biden had 4 times the agents Trump had for a twenty-minute dinner of 40 people indoors. Any one of these things does not lead to a conspiracy, but altogether, they begin to look like one.

Fuzzy, the kid probably was a 20 year old patsy. I don’t know that the SS knew he would show up. But everything else can be covered by “We know that SOMEONE will be trying, because the propaganda has encouraged it. Let’s make it as easy as possible. “

I don’t think this is as outrageous as people are making it. Presumably drone attacks are one of the threats that the Secret Service needs to be able to prevent. If that’s the case, they probably have a no-fly-zone around the area, and a protocol for how to deal with drones that are spotted. (Since there are reports that the shooter used a drone hours before, that protocol might only apply to when Trump was on stage.)

If the SS did have defending against drones as part of their plan, suddenly adding friendly drones – but ones unfamiliar to them – could cause confusion that might hinder them.

Either way, the SS had a plan and protocols on how to protect the area earlier than the night before. It wasn’t a good plan, and it wasn’t a well-executed plan, but it was a plan, and to suddenly add new assets at the last minute would be disruptive.

The shooter –not a kid– was a patsy.

He was also successful. He wanted to shoot Trump in the head, and he did. He didn’t miss. As we keep saying, a quarter inch over and this would all be a different story.

The gods smiled on Donald Trump that day.

And frowned upon the illegitimate cabal that has been destroying our nation.

But, had they hit there would have been a story, there would have been social media to be perused. They had that prepared.

And then Trump lived.

And threw a monkeywrench into the plan.. And he stymied the failsafes by getting up and yelling fight, fight, fight! (because there WERE additional assassins placed to finish the job.)

There was likely no ‘second shooter’ –but this was not a one man job.
