I’m not shocked the Democratic leadership has taken its time endorsing Harris. If they all came out at once, endorsing her would look highly suspicious.

It’s all about keeping the power structure in place. Harris is VP, so it’s Harris’ “turn.” If you throw out the rules that protect the ‘elite’ you won’t have anything but chaos to run the Dem party.

I’m not so sure. She has less than half of the delegates required although it is early. I’ve started reading about Sen Kelly of AZ who, apparently, many elites and big money donors are quietly pushing. They are worried that even though some in The Cathedral want another puppet President which Harris surely would be, she has lower approval ratings than Trump and hasn’t even opened her mouth yet. Going from a confused dementia patient to a cackling midwit isn’t much of a gain.

They will probably replace her at the convention. They cannot hide her in the basement like they did Biden, and she is incapable of campaigning effectively. I don’t think even the wildly liberal press will allow her to hide while the VP campaigns, nor do I think they can cover up a constant stream of complete idiocy.

Hopefully, even with the help she will get from the usual players, Harris will be exposed and reveal the candidate that was so persuasive to Democrats in 2020 before Iowa.
That said, the tools of manipulation are strong. It takes little to cheat, especially when one side is immoral. There is a long way to go and vigilence is necessary to confront what will be a campaign of malice and deception.
