Israel Destroys Main Houthi Port Used By Iran For Weapons Shipments, In Retaliation For Drone Attack On Tel Aviv
Attack was a message to Iran, as the port in Yemen is farther from Israel than Tehran.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Saturday carried out airstrikes against terrorist targets belonging to Houthis in Yemen. The strikes were in retaliation to Friday’s deadly drone attack by the Iranian-backed terrorist group on Tel Aviv.

A Houthi-controlled fuel depot in western Yemeni post city of Al Hudaydah appears to be the main target of the airstrike.
Saturday’s operation named “Outstretched-Arm” demonstrates Israel’s ability to hit targets further away from its territory. “A group of eight F-15 aircraft was assisted by two aerial refueling planes to cover the distance, and professionals around the world were impressed by Israel’s ability to attack with fighter jets at ranges commonly used by bombers – which Israel does not have,” the Jerusalem Post reported Sunday.
From the beginning of the war, I made it clear that Israel will act against all attackers, which is why we struck Houthi targets in Yemen yesterday in response to the deadly drone attack near the US Consulate in Tel Aviv.

The IDF on Sunday afternoon released footage of the strike.
“The footage shows the planes refueling mid-air, as well as attacking the port,” the Israeli broadcaster Arutz Sheva reported describing the IDF footage (see X post below). “Eight IAF squadrons participated in the operation, which lasted two hours and 50 minutes. Some of the planes fired their missiles while flying over the Red Sea,” the news website added.

The Israeli response comes after Iran-backed Houthi terrorists fired at least 200 drones and missiles as Israel since October 7.
Since October 7th, the Houthis have fired more than 200 drones and cruise missiles at Israel.
Today we said enough.

“According to reports, this time, the air force used the newer F-35 aircraft, known as Adir, in the air force – and it led the attack. The 100 F-16I Sufa aircraft operated by the air force are even more advanced than the Ra’am, which arrived here 26 years ago. Likely, the Ra’am and Sufa aircraft were also integrated into the operation, even if only for refueler protection,” the newspaper added.
The Saturday’s airstrike was a landmark military operation carried out without the U.S. military support. “Today, Israel has stepped up its actions in self-defense against these attacks. The Israeli Air Force conducted precise strikes on Houthi military targets in Yemen,” IDF Spokesperson, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagar said Saturday night.
“Israel's necessary and proportionate strikes were carried out in order to stop and repell the Houthi's terror attacks after 9 months of continuous aerial attacks toward Israeli territory.”

The Israel news website YNET described the airstrike as the “the farthest attack from Israeli territory ever carried out by the military, and its insistence on undertaking the operation without US aid.”
“The last aircraft involved in Operation Outstretched Arm against Houthi rebel targets in Yemen safely landed at an Air Force base around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, completing a long and dangerous 3,400-kilometer operational flight,” the new outlet added.
According to YNET, the Israeli Air Force “carried out specialized drills in Greece.”

Meanwhile, the Iran-backed terrorist group continued its attack on Israel. The IDF on Sunday intercepted a surface-to-surface missile fired from Houthi controlled Yemen. “A short while ago, the IDF Aerial Defense Array successfully intercepted a surface-to-surface missile that approached Israeli territory from Yemen using the “Arrow 3″ Aerial Defense System,” the Israeli military said in a press release Sunday morning.
“The projectile did not cross into Israeli territory. Rocket and missile sirens were sounded following the possibility of falling shrapnel. The incident has concluded,” the IDF added.

One of life’s constants. No matter when in time, no matter where in the world, find Muslims, find trouble.
Outstanding.
A sight to behold. To reign in this problem, there must be much more, in Iran.
One certainty: the Houthis haven’t built any of the infrastructure present in Yemen. They came upon it and have used it, but when it’s all blowed-up there will be no more, not unless and until a colonial power (or the Chinese, but I repeat myself) come into the country.
So blowing up a port and oil depot is significant. Keep blowing up the infrastructure and eventually Iran will find itself unable to supply the Houthis with the weapons of war and terror. The Houthis then will slink back into the desert.
One small correction: the F-15 is a fighter-bomber; it carries more payload than an old B-17. It’s perfectly capable of carrying bombs a long distance and putting them right where they need to be.

Great video about the F-15.
It’s a multi-role beauty of an aircraft.
This should have happened a long time ago
Nice!!! I missed the Independence Day fireworks around here, and this fits the bill nicely!
Seems like a telling blow to Iran’s proxies. Iran next???
Hashem oz l’amo yiten. Hashem yivorech es amo shalom. Ps. 29, final two verses.
Doing what the US and “allies” could have done but afraid of Iran. The Biden admin has too much invested in Iran .
The Houthis have been attacking ships in the Suez canal for many months now, seriously disrupting global shipping traffic (which is a contributing factor to the inflation we’ve all been suffering from).
If Joe Biden* wasn’t such a pathetic bit*h, he would have crushed these sand pirates a long time ago.
Not in the Suez Canal, that’s too far away, and Egypt would have stopped them. Their predation has taken place in the Gulf of Aden.
I stand corrected
But the net effect is to hamper traffic through the canal. Why do you think Egypt hasn’t stopped them?
They’re far away from Egypt.
It’s the entrance to the gulf of suez. You literally cannot get to the canal without going past them.
No, it’s the entrance to the Red Sea. And yes, you can’t get to the Gulf of Suez, let alone the canal, without first getting into the Red Sea, but it’s a long distance from Egypt, so there’s not all that much Egypt can do about it.
Good for Israel. More please.
The Houthis attacked international shipping on the high seas for a year and the cowardly international community, including the United States, hadn’t the courage to do anything except shoot down the occasional drone, shoot up a drone launch site or passing speed boat, and issue stern warnings.
Not just that; the USA stopped the Saudis from their attempt to destroy the Houthi.
I think Israel could have done better. The spokesman said it was a proportionate attack. The attack should have been disproportionate. Israel should have taken out power plants, communication centers, and government buildings. Maybe the Houthis might get the message.
Fu*k ’em, send them all the way back to the stone ages. They either root the terrorists out of their territory, or they pay the price of complicity.
Muslims claim hundreds of innocent civilians were killed in the Houthi port attack. Al Jazeera reporting they were all pregnant women and new born infants along with an infant formula manufacturing plant destroyed. Need US aid immediately or they won’t send mail-in ballots for Biden in November.
I wonder if Israeli intelligence knew where the drones and missiles were stored, and were able to destroy them.
Probably not. I didn’t see anything about them bombing any schools or hospitals.
with fjb leaving what agenda will kamala profess?? on the support for the anti omar pro israel country?
Now take away their kat and half the country goes into withdrawal.
Or, as Scrabble players like to spell it, qat.
At least in Israel it’s pronounced “jat”.
To borrow a phrase from The Fat Electrician; “Yeetus Deletus!”
Very nice, Israel. Keep up the good work.
