Hezbollah Evacuating Key Terrorist Facilities Fearing Israeli Response To Missile Strike on Children’s Soccer Match

Iranian-backed terrorist group Hezbollah is evacuating its critical terrorist facilities anticipating an Israeli response after one of its rockets hit a soccer field in northern Israel, killing at least 12 children.

“The security sources said Hezbollah had preemptively cleared out some key sites in both Lebanon’s south and the eastern Bekaa Valley in the event of a possible attack by Israel,” the Jerusalem Post reported Sunday.

Israel identified the projectile that hit the children’s playground in Golan Heights as an Iranian-made missile. Israeli “forensics showed the rocket was an Iranian-made Falaq-1,” Reuters reported Sunday.

The terrorist group previously confirmed firing a Falaq-1 missile into Israel. “Hezbollah had announced firing a Falaq-1 missile on Saturday, saying it had aimed at an Israeli military headquarters,” the news agency added.

At least 12 children were killed and others remain in critical condition after a Hezbollah rocket hit a soccer field in the northern Druze town of Majdal Shams. The victims were children between the ages of 10 and 16. Saturday’s missile strike is the deadliest Hezbollah attack since Iran’s proxy terrorist group opened a second front against Israel in the wake of the October 7 massacre.

“Twelve children and teenagers were killed from a direct hit on a football field in Majdal Shams, a village located in the northern Golan Heights, with at least 30 more injured. Residents in the northern Golan and Upper Galilee have been instructed to stay close to protected areas,” the newspaper Israel Hayom reported Sunday. “Military sources estimate that a rocket landed on the football field where the children were present.”

On Sunday, thousands of Israelis, including government ministers, gathered in Majdal Shams for the funeral of the children killed in the rocket attack. “Family members collapsed in anguish and required medical attention,” Israel news website YNET reported.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cut short his U.S. visit following the terror strike. “State of Israel will not let this pass in silence. We will not overlook this,” Netanyahu promised in a statement.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will mete out a befitting reply to Hezbollah terrorists, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant assured. The Times of Israel reports:

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant says Hezbollah will face the consequences of its deadly attack on Majdal Shams yesterday “even with its ridiculous denials.”“I went to the Northern Command to see the response plans. This is Hezbollah, an Iranian proxy in the region. Hezbollah will not go unpunished for this incident, even with its ridiculous denials,” Gallant says in a video statement from the Northern Command base in Safed. He says that Hezbollah launched the rocket, and “will bear the price and will pay a heavy price for its actions.”

The IDF is reportedly working on a “significant response” to the terror attack. Israel Hayom disclosed that “senior officials indicat[ed] that they are preparing for a significant response following the tragic event.”

Israeli fight jets carried out nighttime raids, hitting Hezbollah targets across Lebanon. “Overnight, the IAF struck a series of Hezbollah terror targets both deep inside Lebanese territory and in southern Lebanon, including weapons caches and terrorist infrastructure in the areas of Chabriha, Borj El Chmali, and Beqaa, Kfarkela, Rab El Thalathine, Khiam, and Tayr Harfa,” the IDF said in a press release Sunday.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah’s paymaster, Iranian threatened Israel with “unforeseen consequences” if the country responded to the terrorist attack that killed of innocent children on a soccer field.
