Biden to Democrats: ‘I am Firmly Committed to Staying in This Race’

Biden to Democrats: ‘I am Firmly Committed to Staying in This Race’

“I can respond to all this by saying clearly and unequivocally: I wouldn’t be running again if I did not absolutely believe I was the best person to beat Donald Trump in 2024.”

We need more popcorn!

President Joe Biden (or the man behind the curtain) told Democrats he isn’t going anywhere.

More and more Democrats have told Biden to step down since they can no longer deny the obvious: Biden is not well.

“I can respond to all this by saying clearly and unequivocally: I wouldn’t be running again if I did not absolutely believe I was the best person to beat Donald Trump in 2024,” wrote Biden.

But this is where the letter becomes precious because, as far as I can remember…the Democrats didn’t want anyone to primary Biden:

We had a Democratic nomination process and the voters have spoken clearly and decisively. I received over 14 million votes, 87% of the votes cxast across the entire nominating process. I have nearly 3,900 delegates, making me the presumptive nominee of our party by a wide margin.

This was a process open to anyone who wanted to run. Only three people chose t o challenge me. One fared so badly that he left the primaries to run as an independent. Another attacked me for being too old and was soundly defeated. The voters of the Democratic Party have voted. They have chosen me to be the nominee of the party.

Do we now just say this process didn’t matter? That the voters don’t have a say?

Those opponents wanted to debate Biden. But the DNC and Biden pushed them away.

No incumbent president has taken part in a debate since President Gerald Ford.

I’ve always said precedent is a cop-out. It’s why no SCOTUS until now took on Roe v. Wade.

I think in this case, the DNC used precedent as an excuse. The officials knew a primary debate would expose Biden.

“I have no doubt that I – and we – can and will beat Donald Trump,” continued Biden.

Biden then added some of his supposed “triumphs” from his first term, making it obvious the letter is actually another campaign piece.

“More importantly, we have an economic vision to run on that soundly beats Trump and the MAGA Republicans,” Biden said. “They are siding with the wealthy and the big corporations and we are siding with the working people of America.”

Says the guy who attends star-studded fundraisers with the rich and famous. Gag me.

Jill Biden to Democrats – I’m not leaving and you can’t make me.

Yeah, but she didn’t write it. It’s too well-written.

“We have one job. And that is to beat Donald Trump. We have 42 days to the Democratic Convention and 119 days to the general election. Any weakening of resolve or lack of clarity about the task ahead only helps Trump and hurts us. It is time to come together, move forward as a unified party, and defeat Donald Trump.”

Some day between now and October, the “sad” news will be all over the airwaves that our “beloved” (snicker) president has died “peacefully” and now the entire nation is “in mourning” (CELEBRATE, CELEBRATE, DANCE TO THE MUSIC!)

The shadow government will be full of denials.

scooterjay in reply to Jmaquis. | July 8, 2024 at 11:06 am

…and Kamala will “Win One For The Sniffer”, thus giving plausible deniability for the massive cheat that takes place.

Paula in reply to Jmaquis. | July 8, 2024 at 11:14 am

Kamala definitely will not be mourning. She’s got the champagne ready and the cork remover is in her hand.

Is there ventilator in the basement in the White House just in case?

Chances are, no one has even told Joe how bad things are either in the election or in his head. And no one dares to tell Jill.

The battle is between the current administration loyalists, the ‘True Believers’ who think re-election is a done deal because they saw to it their political enemies were prosecuted and jailed, and the relative realists (for a given value of ‘real’) who see that running on a platform of “My opponent is a tyrant who will throw his political enemies in jail” is an obvious hypocrisy that even toddlers can see through. I hope they both lose.

I legit have no idea what’s going to happen. There’s some possibility the Dem powerbrokers still think Biden’s their best shot (sorry Kamala). But, there’s also a chance (small chance) Biden is simply at the stage where he’s trying to negotiate the softest landing possible for himself and his family. Along those same lines, this could be what Jill and Hunter are doing behind the scenes and they’ll ease Joe out when it’s time. But, there’s another chance that Biden – fully hobbled by his dementia-addled mind – thinks this is a hiccup at worst and he’s easily going to beat Trump and no one can talk him out of it, not even his family. If you’ve ever taken the keys away from grandpa or grandma, you understand this dynamic.

If that’s the case, things are going to get really spicy in the next few weeks. It really would bring 25A into the picture, IMO. The Dems can’t get rid of him at the convention without making the case he’s not fit to be president. If they make that case, they’re going to have to remove him.

I usually agree with your comments. This is no exception. You are absolutely spot on.

Anyone who has had any loved ones suffering from dementia knows how it ends. It is not something you can recover from.

PrincetonAl in reply to TargaGTS. | July 8, 2024 at 1:03 pm

    Agreed.

Bidens (Hunter, Jill) are either holding the line for the best possible “package” (my guess – it’s all about the Benjamins for the Bidens) or they are going to stick it out to the convention at least.

To which I say, for the first time ever, go for it Joe, you magnificent beast! Call their bluff! Make them try to do the 25th A on you!

Because I think it makes no difference to the country on stepping down … so let’s watch Dems crash and burn.

PS stepping down makes no difference now because 1- everyone has known this for a year, what’s a few more weeks, and 2- Kamala? What difference does she make?

Biden – or his puppeteers – may be “firmly committed” but what about everybody else? There is an increasing number of Dems calling for him to step aside. Or does “he” expect to run a campaign all by “himself”?

AF_Chief_Master_Sgt in reply to Rusty Bill. | July 8, 2024 at 12:22 pm

“Everybody else” only includes those who get to manufacture ballots (not votes) by collecting undeliverable mailed ballots sitting in boxes at the post office.

There are teams of assistants who will fill these ballots and deliver them when needed.

That’s right, admitted pedophile bastard. You stay in there and take the beating you’ve earned for the last 3 years with your terrible performance

beware the brazen attitude on display.
it is by design.

BTW, if Biden is the nominee at the end of the convention after all of this, be afraid. The ONLY way they’ll let that happen is if they already know the outcome of the election, and there’s only one way to know the outcome of the election before the first vote is cast.

he should be firmly committed

979AggHokie | July 8, 2024 at 11:32 am

may the dems implode this cycle

FJB

I predict that Merrick Garland this week will release the recording of Biden’s testimony with Hur.

They need to get rid of Biden. They may need to burn the Dem house down to do so.

Desparate Democrats are capable of anything. Hope for a Trump landslide and GOP control of Congress, and at least 26 state Governors with a backbone. But prepare for Covid 2.0 or some other “emergency”. Before November. Democrats showed themselves to be the true totalitarians that they are. Their media allies are pure Party propagandists. Orwell was off about 40 years.

McGehee 🇺🇲 FJB | July 8, 2024 at 12:07 pm

He needs to be committed.

Joe must seriously consider whether his fractured support will result in fewer bags of mystery ballots being delivered in November. That is the support that he can’t afford to lose.

What a spectacle. Even LBJ, one of the most power-hungry politicians ever, knew when it was time to get out.

nordic prince | July 8, 2024 at 2:09 pm

Biden can’t even decide whether to have tapioca pudding or the jello cup for lunch. He sure as hell ain’t making the decision to stay in/get out. Any words you hear coming out of his mouth are only the programming he’s received from his handlers.

They offered the Bidens 500 million, and Jill insisted on 500 billion. This letter is blackmail/extortion for the big money behind the curtain.

If they find an acceptable bribe, he’ll bow out gracefully. If they don’t, both sides will go nuclear.

destroycommunism | July 8, 2024 at 2:59 pm

how soon until the gop offers the dnc another helping hand?

What if this is all about rescuing Hamas

If they get rid of Biden, Harris can get rid of Blankin as Secretary of State and replace him with Obama’s preferred candidate: Yahyah Sinwar.

And they’ll also be able to complete their replacement of the DOJ with Iran’s IRGC , another Obama goal.
