Biden Says He’d Drop Out if ‘Some Medical Condition’ Emerged

President Joe Biden told Ed Gordon of BET News that he would drop out of the race if a doctor told him to.
Biden also said he planned to serve only one term! I somehow doubt that he made that decision himself.
Biden says he’d consider exiting race if advised by doctors.

In an interview with Ed Gordon of BET News, Mr. Biden was asked if there was anything that would make him re-evaluate staying in the race.
“If I had some medical condition that emerged, if somebody, if doctors came to me and said, you got this problem and that problem,” Mr. Biden said, according to a brief excerpt released by the network.
The comment is the latest in a series of shifting explanations by the president about what might cause him to reconsider. In an interview with ABC News this month, Mr. Biden said he would drop out only if the “Lord almighty” told him to. At a news conference in Washington several days later, he said he would stay in the race unless aides came to him with proof that he could never win.
In the BET interview, he conceded that he “made a serious mistake in the whole debate” and would re-evaluate his decision if one of his doctors changed their assessment of him.
Mr. Biden also said for the first time that he had expected to “move on” from the presidency and “pass it on to somebody else” but decided to run again because he believed his “wisdom” and experience would help heal the country’s worsening divisions.
“You may remember Ed, I said I was going to be a transitional candidate, and I thought I would be able to move on from this and pass it on to somebody else,” the president said. “But I didn’t anticipate things getting so, so, so divided. And quite frankly, I think the only thing age brings is a little bit of wisdom.”
Rep. Adam Schiff became the latest Democrat to call Biden to withdraw. I think he’s the 21st Democrat in Congress to voice his opinion.
Biden also said he planned to only serve one term, but changed his mind because of his so called accomplishments, which he alluded to in a previous interview.
Again, something tells me the man behind the curtain made the decision for him:
Now, with his comments in the BET interview, Mr. Biden indicated that he had initially expected to serve one term but changed his mind.
“I think I’ve demonstrated that I know how to get things done for the country in spite of the fact that we were told we couldn’t get it done,” Mr. Biden told Mr. Gordon. “But there’s more to do, and I’m reluctant to walk away from that.”
The full interview is scheduled to air at 10 p.m. Eastern.
The president said something similar during a news conference in Washington this month, when a reporter asked what changed from the time he promised to be a bridge candidate.
“What changed was the gravity of the situation,” Mr. Biden said. “What I realized was, my long time in the Senate had equipped me to have the wisdom to know how to deal with the Congress to get things done. We got more major legislation passed that no one thought would happen. And I want to finish — to get that finished.”

And some gold bars and diamonds for emergencies.
When Traitor Joe’s ransom is met he’ll step aside in the race for the democrats.

The irony is that since this is the most straightforward resolution, it occurred to Democrats only this morning.
I will be very interested in this newly developed medical condition, that he obviously had 4 years ago, that prevents him now from running, but allows him to serve out the rest of his term.
He’s going. The only question is how much the DNC will have to pay to get him out of the seat before the elections reduce the Dem election chances downballot to single digits.
So, he’s out. Now the fun begins (though I don’t see how they get around Harris, who is absolutely horrific).

I don’t either. They have a minority problem that is a seemingly unnavigable minefield. But, if you’re going to turn the page on Biden, you might has well turn the page on Biden/Harris because maybe that buys them some maneuvering room on their two biggest problems: Inflation & the Border. It’s just hard to see a credible strategy to do that without blowing up the party….
….unless that strategy is named Michelle Obama.
I really don’t think she’s interested. She knows that Trump is no threat to “democracy” or about to establish some crazed new reich, so she’s totally uninterested in disrupting her cushy life of laziness with an actual job. If she imagined, in a million years, that Trump was such a threat, she’d probably rouse herself, but . . . she knows better. And so she won’t.
I wonder if his “proposals” today on SCOTUS term limits, ethics, etc that fully embrace far leftist positions is not part of the plan?
I think that all but the most delusional Democrats in power know that Trump is going to win and all they are fighting for is minimizing the down ballot damage. Give the left and its identity politics all that it wants, lets them get crushed in November. A losing sorta black woman gets the identity politics monkey of their backs for a while and lets them rebuild. Odds are that the Republicans will screw stuff up enough to give them an opening in 28.

That is a sticky problem since they’re most loyal constituency is black females. It’s also the only constituency that seems to like Kamala Harris.
Yeah….the DNC has a few weeks to make it happen and prior to this all the various factions and tribes within the d/prog coalition gotta reach a consensus on:
1. Biden being removed from the Presidency as well as the nominee for ’24. If the man is too unhealthy, feeble or incoherent to run an effective campaign he can’t logically remain as President.
2. Who is the replacement as the nominee? They gonna skip Harris and draft Newsom or Whitmer….that’s not the best look for the party of identity politics.
3. Gonna elevate Harris as nominee? This may be the best of their bad choices; they know they probably (based on polls but lets not be complacent) not gonna win the WH in ’24. This gives Harris and her faction a shot and if she wins they say great, if she loses (likely) they can then push her to the side without too much open warfare in the party.
They never should have selected Harris as VP in ’20 but short term d/prog primary considerations allowed Jim Clyburn to win the day and become the kingmaker. They should have forced this conversation about ’24 election last spring and kicked Joe to the curb reminding him of his one term/bridge to the next generation public remarks. Instead they kicked the can again b/c they were riding high on Mugshots and indictments which just delayed the inevitable fight within the d/prog factions and tribes about the future of their party. Most of their SR leadership is very long in the tooth and lots of loyal d/prog Soldiers are getting tired of being told to keep waiting their turn. There’s only so much grift, graft and prestigious political jobs with any real power to go around for a lot of greedy, grasping hands.
If he resigns NOW, Harris would be president for a month before the convention. So, they could give her a little trial run to see if she is electable.
She is a horrible politician without a d/prog machine such as she had in CA to deliver her victory. She was polling less than a couple points before Tulsi Gabbard KO her ass in the ’20 primary and dropped out b/c no donors would back her failure. IMO she isn’t any more electable than Biden …. though the d/prog have driven into an inescapable culdesac and risk splitting the d/prog coalition of they kick her to the curb and anoint someone else as nominee. There’s no flipping way Jill Biden and Joe Biden willingly leave the WH. Just my opinion but they either use the 25th amendment and nuke Biden and his ‘legacy’ then replace him with Harris as the nominee or they gotta explain how Joe is too bad off to run FOR President but is somehow still capable of serving AS President …every day till Nov 5th. That’s a very naked attempt to hold power and put the Nation last and may be too much for even some d/prog voters to stomach.

Well, the medical condition has not only emerged, it has taken up a position on the lamppost outside the Oval Office like a turkey vulture waiting for the stranded cowboy to stop twitching.
Among early symptoms of being senile is an inability to comprehend that you’re senile. Biden thinks he’s making sense but he is simply not able to decide to step down, either as candidate or president.
He has to be removed. But the people who could, conceivably, do that don’t have America’s best interests at heart.

I think this is Biden seeking a graceful way out in lieu of the proclaimed act of God. He can blame it on his medical condition rather than being seen as succumbing to the reality of political pressure and his unpopularity as a result of his administration’s feckless and in some cases lawless policies. His doctors should have already leveled with him so there should not some big discovery.
White House just announced Biden has Covid….again. I think this is the third, maybe fourth time he’s had it, right?
And, how often vaccinated?
That’s it. At his age, Covid has undercut his ability to function as President at the high level – 10AM to 4PM – that the job requires.
They’re telegraphing their next move, planting that thought seed so their groupies will swallow it when the time comes.
