AP: Biden is “Sharp and Focused but Sometimes Confused and Forgetful”
The body of the article practically screams out for invoking the 25th Amendment because a president fading in and out is a national security threat, but that headline is reminiscent of CNN’s “fiery, but mostly peaceful” chyron during the BLM Kenosha riots.
You can’t make this up. The Associated Press ran a story and headline trying to minimize Joe Biden’s obvious cognitive decline. They couldn’t go full fiction, since we all saw what we saw.
Instead, AP wrote a now classic headline: Biden at 81: Often sharp and focused but sometimes confused and forgetful:
President Joe Biden’s conduct behind closed doors, in the Oval Office, on Air Force One and in meetings around the world is described in the same dual way by those who regularly see him in action.
He is often sharp and focused. But he also has moments, particularly later in the evening, when his thoughts seem jumbled and he trails off mid-sentence or seems confused. Sometimes he doesn’t grasp the finer points of policy details. He occasionally forgets people’s names, stares blankly and moves slowly around the room.
Biden’s occasional struggles with focus may not be unusual for someone his age. But at 81 years old and seeking another four years in the White House, the moments when he’s off his game have taken on a fresh resonance following his disastrous debate performance against Republican Donald Trump. The president appeared pale, gave nonsensical answers, stared blankly and lost his train of thought.
The body of the article practically screams out for invoking the 25th Amendment because a president fading in and out is a national security threat, but that headline is reminiscent of CNN’s “fiery, but mostly peaceful” chyron during the BLM riots in Kenosha, WI, after the Jacob Blake shooting.
REACTIONS
Such a shame that all of his "sharp and focused" moments are never recorded or seen publicly but all of his "confused and forgetful" ones are. https://t.co/xtIe9ZHQO7

“The recession will be brief and mild unless it lasts a long time and becomes severe.”
Inflation will be transitory… like Biden’s lucid moments.
“Our SWAT Team members are highly trained sharpshooters, though they often hit bystanders.”
Two weeks to flatten the curve.
Ok. Then definitely the interview with Georgie needs to be scheduled to take place at 9 pm, if it’s purpose is to assuage concerns about his cognition. The American people need a POTUS who functions cognitively 24/7, not one who sundowns daily.
Tell me a big lie: Sometimes Biden is sharp and focused
Okay, now tell me the truth: Biden’s dementia keeps him confused all the time
Let’s hope Biden aces the interview and shuts down his Democrat critics. Because he will lose to Trump. I want him on the ticket and let him fall apart in the fall and lose in a landslide.
Or Kamala, that works for me. Let him step aside gracefully don’t push him out so he can pick Kamala. She will lose too.
Otherwise, careful what you wish for. Because Michelle Obama is waiting in the wings.
As I stated elsewhere. Michelle is lazy, and will not pass up on her multi million $$$ grift.
Agree 100%. She gains nada from it, she’s already given access to people and events on a ‘Presidential’ level. She has a wealth and a carefree life. People like her and those that don’t mostly keep their mouth shut about it b/c she isn’t doing anything to them. On e she becomes a candidate she is fair game for all sorts of campaign nastiness and mockery. Why TF would she sign up for that especially when whomever is running in ’24 is likely to be a sacrificial lamb?
Because if she doesn’t agree to be a cabal puppet, Malia’s terminal condition may never improve.
I don’t know if she has the drive to campaign, let alone be President??
And Trump isn’t going to be easy on her like Republicans of old would have.
That’s because he’s mean and won’t show the deference and courtesy to women they believe they deserve.
Wait. Liberated women call that male chauvinist pig behavior.
Being cruel and dishonest remains even if demented, and even if others are used to carry out the cruel and dishonest plans, like a Majorkas.
As people decline character remains, even as intellect declines.
Sharp and focused?
Are you kidding me?
Joe Biden was *never* sharp or focused.
I’ve met janitors (no disrespect) who were far more intelligent and on point than this dope.
Go watch his questioning of Clarence Thomas in 1991 (lots on YouTube to choose from) at his confirmation hearing and then tell me with a straight face that he has a triple digit IQ.
For that matter, Harris’s “questioning” of Kavanaugh. Words written by some snot nosed kid on her staff read by her obviously for the first time with that stupid smirk on her face was equally ridiculous.
Honestly, what does this say about us that people like Biden and Harris can be elected to *any* office? People like them are the kind that our founders rebelled against.
“I’ve met janitors (no disrespect) who were far more intelligent and on point than this dope.”
In fact the character of the Philosopher Janitor is often portrayed as the wise one in a sea of idiots……………………………………………..
Actually, I believe it was Wittgenstein who said in substance that to be a good philosopher, become a car mechanic.

^^^^ This.
LOL.
Biden was NEVER “sharp and focused”. He has been a retard his entire life. IN the 1970s some magazine ranked the IQs of Senators. They put Biden dead last, which is why he was always challenging people, “I’ll bet my IQ is higher than yours!”
Joe Biden has been a dolt and a joke his entire life. He has also been known as slimy, vindictive prick by anyone who ever dealt with him for more than 30 seconds.
Q: When Joe freezes up, why do they always grab his arm and pull on him to get him moving?
A: When you’re being chased by a pack of taxidermists, the last thing you want to do is play dead.
Victor Davis Hanson – “Hubris really does earn nemesis.”
“Leftists make up things as they go along, as yesterday’s heresies (e.g., Biden seems demented) become today’s orthodoxies (e.g. Biden really is demented)—depending on the current party directive about what is most advantageous.”
[…] Note that there would never have been any presidential immunity suit before the Supreme Court had the Biden administration just not orchestrated local, state, and federal prosecutors to neuter Trump, Joe Biden’s 2024 presidential opponent.
That current lawfare effort marked the third sequential attempt to sabotage a political opponent’s campaign—following Hillary’s 2016 Russian “collusion”/Steele “dossier” scam, and Joe’s 2020 Russian “disinformation”/ “51 intelligence authorities” ruse.
why do they even bother to speak
everyone knows they are lying
they are leftists
Biden blames it on bad debate performance. He said, “I learned from my father that when you get knocked down, you get back up.”
This is all deflection. It’s not about debate performance. It’s the fact that he was on live tv for 90 minutes where his dementia was on display for the whole world to see—his facial expressions, his blank stare, his freezing up, being confused, being unable to remember simple facts he had tried to memorize during a week of debate prep.
It wasn’t jet lag. It wasn’t a cold. It’s dementia! You don’t bounce back from dementia. There’s nothing anyone can do. All the kings horses and all the kings men can’t put him back together again. It’s over. All over.
Oh Sussana, don’t you cry…
Whoops, that was meant as a standalone.
Just about anyone else in Joe’s situation would at the least be in assisted living if not a full nursing home, attended by family and friends who cherish those few, fleeting moments of coherency.
Instead, he’s pickled in drugs and lead around like a zombie, with political parasites circling like vultures to get their share while they still can.
“Instead, he’s pickled in drugs and lead around like a zombie, with political parasites circling like vultures to get their share while they still can.”
Are you referring to Joe or Hunter?
😏
A) Joe
B) Hunter
C) Both
Yes.
His father must have been a real prize package.
A family where generation after generation ruins their children, in a way the Biden has something in common with Pales.
“I learned from my father that when you get knocked down, you get back up.”
What advice did he give you about falling up staircases?

Somebody pulled up a clip of Joe Biden yammering about “natural law” at the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearing. Oboy, Biden has been one of those “never in doubt, and never right” types all of his political life.
Interesting. I went looking for that clip — and it’s been larded up with an endless loop of ads at one place it should have been, and subbed out by an overly-long Cspan intro at another. If I find it, I will post it, because it is illuminating.
Ah, finally found it: Joe Biden blustering, with recent Clarence Thomas comment.
https://rumble.com/v552l9j-clarence-thomas-gets-the-last-laugh-vs.-joe-biden.html
Just how big a deal has the topic of “Natural Law” been over the last few decades?
It depends on what circles you travel in.
If you deal with libertarians, sovereign citizens, firearms activists, survivalists, and other Deplorable types, it can be pretty crucial.
Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add “within the limits of the law,” because law is often but the tyrant’s will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.
–THOMAS JEFFERSON
This reminds me of a famous movie director commenting on fading, alcoholic film star’s, Dana Andrews’s, participation on a months-long movie shoot. “Mr. Andrews’s participation is best characterized by unexpected brief periods of sobriety.”
Nice try by some media but no cigar. Y’all knew exactly how bad off Biden was well before last week’s debate. You deliberately chose to help cover it up and deceive the US voters on behalf of your ideological allies the d/prog political party. You elevated the implementation of your policy preferences above honest reporting.
Too late for media, d/prog officials and everyone else who damn well knew Biden’s actual condition but failed to disclose it until it began to appear Biden’s condition would prevent his election. Eff y’all. No one who participated in this should be trusted again. No admittance to WH press pool, no access to interviews, revoke the security clearances of those official who hold them and essentially lock them out of ‘permanent DC’.
In retrospect, it’s obvious that the “debate” was a coordinated setup.
Here’s a cartoon video predicting what that debate would look like, particularly the behavior of the moderators. And, going from every single other debate Trump was subjected to by the media, it should have been accurate.
Yet, for the first time, none of that happened. Aren’t you wondering why?
Nope. IMO this was Biden’s hubris at work. That dude really believes he is all the things he claims in his ‘stories’. He issued the challenge to DJT set the terms, the format, the network, demanded mics be muted and so on. Why is a better question…. he can read poll data and see a trend line and IMO figured ‘hell, I’ll just go on TV and debate that SoB and show the folks how much a jackass he is and how smart and effective I still am’.
He was behind, losing core constituency voters to Trump, some alt media was showing video of him stumbling and bumbling and it hurt his pride. He and his far too large ego gambled, his staff didn’t see an alternative and probably hoped the terms wouldn’t be accepted by Trump, they lost the bet. That’s how I see it and all the Machiavellian plots seem like far too much to coexist on the edge of Occam’s razor.
That may have been the hand Biden expected to play. Now, if his handlers were behind him, the moderators would’ve been subjected to the usual full court press to harry and hound Trump. The fact that they didn’t do it means that Biden’s handlers sandbagged him.
When Democrats buy the media, it stays bought. What they do always tells you what they were told to do by Democrats.
The d/prog coalition ain’t monolithic. Several different tribes with different agenda and at least three main factions comprise that d/prog coalition. The legacy media does act as the mouthpiece/cheerleader and enablers for the d/prog BUT they also have to keep up a veneer of objectivity to maintain the con that allows their grift. Otherwise the marks get smart to the con and stop the grift.
I honestly don’t think this was an intentional hatchet job. The moderators didn’t go after Biden, instead he flailed around on his own. Heck they were as gentle as lambs with him. The problem was the format w/mics muted which altered Trump’s normal tactics and removed the excuse for the mods to interject.
In sum I believe they (his handlers) kept such a close hold on Biden’s actual deterioration, allowing any one person outside the core to see just a glimpse here or there that while they may have seen Biden falling, or wandering off like a roomba or sliding speech, making nonsense comments in isolation that when they saw all of it for 90 minutes they were a bit taken aback.
The other key point is media ‘credibility’ or at least the veneer of it. The public saw the ’emperor has no clothes’ and the media is unwilling to say he was not naked. They will rationalize it and spin it but they ain’t risking their future ad revenue, subscription revenue or their ever shrinking ratings by directly lying about something so easily refuted. In the end each of these tribes, factions and enablers will put their own ass and own future ahead of Biden. They ain’t gonna go down with the ship, they gonna swim away like rats.
Tempted to watch this ” interview ” as it probably is a list of questions from the administration to Stuffy to ask.
There is a chance Stuffy being a Clintonesta it will be sabotaged if Hildabeast thinks she has a chance.
When did the staff of the Babylon Bee start working for AP
NY Mag has a brutal article out this afternoon titled: ‘The Conspiracy of Silence to Protect Joe Biden The president’s mental decline was like a dark family secret for many elite supporters.’
The reporter says she began ‘hearing stories’ in January. Lolz. Apparently they couldn’t bring themselves to print any of these stories until some in the media decided it was time to move on from Biden. She tells many painfully unflattering anecdotes about Biden’s recent, disturbing failings. But then, she UNBELIEVABLY ends with this paragraph…
‘“It was a bad night.” That’s the spin from the White House and its allies about Thursday’s debate. But when I watched the president amble stiffly across the stage, my first thought was: He doesn’t look so bad. For months, everything I had heard, plus some of what I had seen, led me to brace for something much more dire.
It’s impossible to hate the media as much as they deserved to be hated.
60% of the time, it works every time.
‘It really offends the nostrils’.
They’ve even gotten some people to believe in the “he had a cold” theory. They want us to think Joe is like an allstar shortstop who made a few errors and struck out a few times in one game–he’ll be better next game, In reality, he’s a washed up utility player who can’t hit or field anymore and never will be able to again.
