White House Correspondents Assoc. Responds to Biden Snapping at Reporter for Not Playing ‘by the Rules’

“While the White House does determine the number of reporters the president will recognize, it is up to professional journalists to decide what to ask.”

The White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) responded to President Joe Biden snapping at a reporter who didn’t “play by the rules” by asking an off-topic question.

An Associated Press reporter asked Biden about Hunter at the news conference after Biden signed a 10-year agreement with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to supply the country with military equipment.

But Bloomberg’s Josh Wingrove’s Israel-Gaza question sent Biden over the edge.

Biden retorted: “I wish you guys would play by the rules a little bit. I’m here to talk about a critical situation in Ukraine. You’re asking another subject. I’ll be happy to answer in detail later, but the bottom line is that we made an agreement [in regard to Gaza].”

The WHCA said:

“The White House Correspondents’ Association believes it is in the public interest to make clear that at a presidential press conference, at home or abroad, there are no preconditions regarding question topics,” the statement read. “While the White House does determine the number of reporters the president will recognize, it is up to professional journalists to decide what to ask.”

It continued, “Any leader may prefer that reporters ask only one question or ask only about a topic that is of most interest to the president or another world leader, but a free press functions independently. WHCA would welcome more opportunities to pose a range of questions to the president in a press conference setting.”

Shorter version of their statement:

“Yo, don’t give away the game that questions are almost entirely rigged. Now we gotta pretend to slap you down for the sake of appearance. Doesn’t get easier than us, Dementia Joe. Stop whining.”

You’re not playing by the rules!!!!

What rules?

Rule #1: You are allowed to ask only certain questions which I know about ahead of time and have the answers in my pocket.

Rule #2: You will then comment on what a good job I am doing and praise me in your reporting.

Rule #3: If I stumble, look confused or make a gaffe, you will not report it.

Or lie about it to the point of gaslighting the public.

I don’t think he even knows what is going on with these “deals” between Israel/Hamas and the US. Everyone has there own version of their own deals that even I am a bit confused — of course I am not the President of the United States. I’m sure if he had the slightest clue of Hamas’s latest ridiculous “deal” he would have started shouting out nonsense.

Journalists are insufferable. Anyone that pays attention knows that the WHCA is the equivalent of Pravda.

Could also be that the word has gone out to start making him look bad so at the convention they can dump him for someone else.
Hail Mary pass to barack’s husband Michelle maybe?

Vile crime boss, Biden, was always an ornery, obnoxious and bullying oaf, since he took office a millennium ago. Now that the dope’s senility and cognitive decline are transparently accelerating, whatever scintillas of tact and self-restraint that he once possessed to deceitfully present himself as an allegedly nice guy, are totally gone.

You can be very sure that these rules will apply for the Presidential debates and perhaps a wireless earpiece as well.

“free press”

LOL.

These are the same idiots who feted Barky for locking them in broom closets.

Today’s Western press is worse than Pravda ever was. Treasonous enemies, all.

The press is free to be good or bad, and we are free to believe tham or not. More and more people every day are not believing them, at the grass roots level. We are looking at 1994 again. Antifa is not winning hearts and minds like they believed it would. Summer of Love, part deux is coming.

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain, and focus your hate onto Joe Goldstein.

You’ve got to play by the rules.
Joe plays by the rules.
He does whatever they tell him, and they let him keep being President.

The rule is that news is an entertainment choice and the various media have different markets. Just like politicians.

Jim Accosted cried like a baby when the Trump admin wanted to take his press pass.

The press wouldn’t have to ask “off-topic” questions at an event if Joe held regular pressers where questions on any subject are more welcome.

I wonder what would be more revealing, these shallow, shot-gunning question-fests from shoals of barking seals, or a series of long-form single correspondent interviews, each on a single known topic?
