Gad Saad is someone to whom I need to pay more careful attention – his insights into the self-inflicted collapse of the West are frank and brutally honest. I find myself re-Tweeting (or whatever it’s called now on X) him frequently.

I would argue the war already is here and has been for decades.
That war certainly is here already in education. You know its in higher ed, but its also in grade schools.

It could be entirely peaceful – no war. Years ago I said that Merkel’s legacy would be allowing the mass migration into Europe. At the time, I predicted that merely differential birth rates would turn over control within 100 years. I now suspect that it may not take that long.
The absence of outright war does not mean peace. Islam has never taken over anything peacefully. It’s already basically illegal in most of Europe to criticize Islam. Muslims are getting a pass for violent crimes. Parliamentary systems make political control by minorities much easier.

So long as we begin with drafting everyone who Jas heretofore avoided military service and is under full SSI retirement age…sure. That seems like a fair proposition, even from a libertarian perspective I can see how a fair argument can be made for a 2 year period of military service/equivalent national service like the depression era forestry programs as a form of reimbursement to the Nation for the rights and protections enjoyed by Citizens. Nothing is free, someone always has to pay the costs and distributing some of those costs across every Citizen seems eminently fair.
The problem is there’s nothing the agenda people can’t hijack. We already know there’s nothing they won’t hijack, if they can.
I love the idea of “kick in, to be in.” And of exposing people to what it takes to do the stuff they depend on. Some time cutting fire breaks in Cali might inject some perspective into thinking about land management.

The Founders had the advantage that while they were raining down death, geography made it nearly impossible for rival predator nations to take advantage of the confusion. That advantage is gone forever.

I am amazed at how stupid our young people are. They are oblivious to the ideals this country was built on, and oblivious to how rare they are in this dark world. Yet they have more information at their fingertips than any generation has ever had before. Too damn lazy to do their own research. College aged women who shreik for abortion on demand support Hamas. Guess those murdering rapist look pretty good to our sheltered females. Incredible. Somehow, the borders of the Ukraine are sacrosanct, while cartel operatives, MS-13 members, and trained terrorists stream over the Rio Grande. I don’t believe this generatiuon has the guts to fight, or the smarts to know what to fight for.
To be fair, the current generation of college students ain’t the folks making gov’t policy decisions. The boomer generation is still largely running things and hanging onto power in gov’t and in corporate/private sector…..with a few prominent silent generation members in key positions. In the last Congress we had an octogenarian triumvirate at the top of the org charts of US gov’t power; Biden, Schumer and Pelosi.

There is only one way to change it: evangelize.
Christian morals and Americanism have to become, once again, part of the broader culture and embedded in the electorate. Only then can you “vote your way out of this.”

I have just read The Camp of the Saints, published in and written by the French author Jean Raspail. To call it a dystopian prediction from 50 years ago of precisely what is happening right here in America, not to mention Europe, would be a vast understatement. In fact, if one substitutes the number of “invaders” landing on the coast of Provence – a “paltry” one million- with what is happening under the insane policy of this administration – 16 million? 18? 20? Who knows? – one gets the sense of why a recent article about the book referred to it as “the most prescient novel you will ever read.” I cannot recommend it highly enough and just wish there were some way to require everyone who plans to vote in November to read and study this novel. The referenced article, “Camp of the Dumbbells” by Clarice Feldman, goes through the agonies being suffered in Europe due to the onslaught of illegal immigrants. The book could almost certainly never be published today as it actually speaks the gory truth about who these people actually are and how they will destroy any country they take over. Thank you for this excellent post and superb publication; just wish I had explored it long ago but I’m here now! Jim George

I have and have read Death of the West by Pat Buchanan. Full of indisputable data and his hypotheses are spot on.
