Olympics to the Media: Avoid ‘Problematic Language’ Like ‘Born Male,’ ‘Biologically Male,’ and ‘Genetically Female’

Olympics to the Media: Avoid ‘Problematic Language’ Like ‘Born Male,’ ‘Biologically Male,’ and ‘Genetically Female’

Feels > Science.

I could probably write eight articles a day on this crap.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) released media guidelines addressing athletes “to promote inclusivity and equality.”

You all know what that means! Feels > Science.

The sport determines whether a male can compete against the females, so we’ll likely see a male with the females.

(I’m finished with saying trans. We all know it’s about males in female sports.)

Ten sports have restrictions:

World Rowing has issued a near-blanket ban on the participation of trans women in female categories, while the World Boxing Council does not allow any trans athletes to participate.

The world bodies for athletics, cycling, swimming, rugby and cricket have banned trans women from competing in female categories if they underwent puberty before starting their transition.

The governing bodies for the triathlon, tennis and archery require testosterone levels to be suppressed within a specified limit.

Other sporting bodies, such as the Badminton World Federation, have said they will consider trans athletes on a case-by-case basis, while FIFA, global soccer’s governing body, announced in 2022 that it would review its policy.

The IOC provided the media with the new guidelines, which include the “problematic language” it needs to avoid.

The problematic language is based on science, not feels.

Don’t use these terms:

  • Born male
  • Born female
  • Biologically male
  • Biologically female
  • Male-to-female (MtF)
  • Female-to-male (FtM)

“Use of phrases like those above can be dehumanising and inaccurate when used to describe transgender sportspeople and athletes with sex variations,” according to the guidelines. “A person’s sex category is not assigned based on genetics alone and aspects of a person’s biology can be altered when they pursue gender-affirming medical care.”

Instead, use terms like:

  • Girl/boy
  • Woman/man
  • Transgender girl/boy
  • Transgender woman/man
  • Transgender person

If you MUST use the sex assigned at birth, then you MUST write or say:

  • Assigned female at birth
  • Assigned male at birth
  • Designated female at birth
  • Designated male at birth

Taking hormones, chopping off body parts, or gluing other body parts to you does not change your sex. It does not change your biology.

Genetics defines your sex. You’re either XX or XY. XY DSD (intersex is the older term) is extremely rare, but it’s happened in the Olympics.

Make it stop. I don’t want to be on this planet anymore.

The IOC took advice from GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation), which has long abandoned gays and lesbians and took up arms with transgenders.

GLAAD knows how to use dehumanizing language. TERF stands for “trans-exclusionary radical feminist.”

Even if you’re a lesbian, if you’re a TERF, then GLAAD won’t stand up for you.

Martina has thoughts.

I have always loved the Olympics. I remember bringing a small TV into the bathroom at home during the Barcelona games, so I could watch while in the shower. I’ve been to Olympia Greece to see the site of the ancient games.

I’m finding it more and more difficult to be enthused by the corrupted Olympic games. Sad.

“A person’s sex category is not assigned based on genetics alone and aspects of a person’s biology can be altered when they pursue gender-affirming medical care.”

Yes, sex is defined by genetics alone, and you can’t alter biology any more than you can actually defy gravity. Send these clowns to bed early with no dessert.

So … if a girl has three man-made (LOL) penises surgically attached to her forehead and shoulders is she only allowed to compete in the male team competitions?

What, exactly, are the specifications of an “accepted” man-made (LOL, again!) penis. I mean, what sort of construction would qualify as a penis, according to the Olympic Committee? It could not just be any old lump of flesh/plastic. There have to be some requirements.

I was going to call the added penis a “prosthetic” but I looked that word up and it only serves for a replacement part, not a fantasy addition.

So, a girl with five man-made (LOL) penises sewn onto her face shoulders and chest qualifies as a male Olympic basketball team! If she had six penises sewn on then she would be a foul if she stepped onto the court, though … and that seems sort of unfair … for her very presence on the court to be a foul. ROFLMAO.

The Olympics is done. It was over after the Seoul games when the South Koreans showed that they were the worst cheaters in the world and that their culture was complete dog sh*t. The Olympics only serves to launder billions of dollars to connected people in the countries awarded the games (sort of a license to steal) and the criminal lowlifes in the various Olympic organizations running all this graft and corruption.

I won’t be watching. To be fair though, I have been watching the Olympics less and less over the years and I can’t remember if I watched them at all lat let around.

The coverage has bored me; too much emphasis on the emotional history of the contestants, and here in America anyhow, all we get are…wait for it…the Americans.

I want to watch the best athletes in the world compete in a variety of sports. Instead the American coverage always seemed to be background stories about the 8th place American team’s best left-handed lesbian’s one- legged grandmother with cancer who worked two jobs to buy bus tickets so the athlete could go to the gym.

The Olympic Committee or whomever put out this woke propaganda guide to media seems to be stuck in yesterday’s bubble. Doubling and tripling down on this ‘trans’ nonsense when the public toleration for it, much less public support for it outside academic ivory towers, the lapdog legacy media and corporate HR dept run with an iron fist by bitter spinsters … has declined, to put it very mildly.

    “stuck in yesterday’s bubble.”
    More like yearning for it.
Remember the east German Women’s Swim Team?
    Good times!

      Henry

The d/prog woke weirdos pine for/yearn for all sorts of bad things from the past…segregation for one.

They are,.IMO way out over their skies on the trans nonsense. The public was mostly indifferent so long as it was adults living with the consequences of their own choices. I mean if you really want to cut off your junk, get a boob job and wear a dress….OK… but that doesn’t turn you into a female nor should anyone be conscripted into your cosplay and forced to participate in the delusion. IOW do whatever you want but keep out of women’s showers, bathrooms, changing rooms and sports while accepting the fact that you still look like a dude so eff your pronouns.

Instead of accepting toleration they demanded society embrace, s endorse and celebrate them. The overwhelming major the public ain’t down with that. Then they decided to mutilate children and force everyone else’s minor family members to endure their presence in locker rooms, showers and so on. Then they harassed and sought to demonize those who objected to the Cray Cray.

I submit that the wider public is not on board with the trans nonsense and a not insignificant chance exists for shoving the pendulum way, way back beyond the point of mere toleration to the point of social ostracism, public taunting and active hostility. They went too far and invited an over correction so no whining if/when it comes.

I identify as an Oak Tree.

Some narrow minders refuse to accept my identity.

There are bigots!

And just like that…. don’t need to watch the Olympics either

IOC: “men will be winning most, if not all, of the women’s Olympic events,” so we’re proscribing descriptions of male athletes competing in women’s Olympic sporting events”

Perhaps with this new enlightened thinking the Olympic governing bodies should look back and reconsider any disqualifications of East German women due to doping in the 1960s through 1980s. Clearly we were so wrong back then.

Just a suggestion, how about an objective test, such as DNA, to ensure participation in women’s contests? Then we don’t need to worry about language or hurt feelings.

It’s dehumanizing to WOMEN. Shame on them all.

The easiest way to avoid such “problematic phrases” as related to the Olympics is to avoid the Olympics completely.

The very best female tennis players in the world would barely crack the top 100 male players.

There’s no possible work around for that sport.

No “barely” about it. They would not even come close. The greatest female tennis player ever would not rank in the top 500 men of the moment, let alone the top 5000 men of all time.

As to track, the women are 10 to 15% slower than the men, which means that no woman runner would be able to compete in any way with college men, let alone world class male runners. In anything.

15% seems to be the general advantage men have over women in most athletic pursuits – which is gigantic.

Yeah. No female can come close in a Track& Field event with males. As an example I am (was really I am now in my early 50’s) a well above average athlete. Football, Track & Field. Had some very slight D1 interest and got a few D3 offers and one D2 offer all for football. None for track. I ran the 800 meters, 400 meters, 400 meter rely. I was good but not great. Not even close to elite which is why I got ZERO interest for track.

I routinely ran the 800 meters between 1:47 and 1:48 which was not a big whooping deal….that qualified me for State Sectionals where I got smoked by far better runners. The women’s world record in the 800 meters? 1:53.28. The men’s record? Just under 1:41. That’s a 12 second difference which is gigantic in track basically 100 meters + distance between two runners with those times.

The physical advantages males possess are simply insurmountable. The best female runners in the world would lose to mediocre HS male track athletes.

Nagging. The 100m, 400m and 800m consistently won by the girls. Not to mention the free style nag and the double shot nag. Oh and the luge nag (no woman ever hit the wall like the men do).

Right. Genitals are just a social construct.

Abortion.

There – that will take care of objections by feminists to men taking opportunities away from women.

The IOC says use woman/man? Simple. Then just report (birth name) was the fastest man in the women’s 100m sprint, or (birth name) was the strongest man in the women’s weightlifting event.

It reports the facts and doesn’t violate the IOC’s guidelines, right?

“Avoid saying that transgender people “identify as” their gender. That implies that gender identity is a choice.”

Pay no attention to the person behind the curtain who changes zis gender identity several times each week.

Born male, Born female Biologically male, Biologically female – are convoluted terms that try to obsure the fact that there are only two genetically based sexes.

While Male-to-female (MtF)Female-to-male (FtM) is scientifically imposible.

They know that every sport that allows men to compete against women will in fact end up with males only on the medal stand…. This is an effort to try to hide that fact

Maybe some org with existing cache /status or reach such as the Daily Wire could make the same point by aggregating the times then listing the top ten or hell top twenty performances in each event. So while there would be men’s 100 meter and women’s 100 meter held in the competition as separate event/categories the Daily Wire could just publish the top 10 or 20 times by Name, Biological Sex and Nation then create a mock ‘award’ to present.
