Hunter Biden Gun Trial Begins With Jury Selection

Hunter Biden Gun Trial Begins With Jury Selection

Hunter faces numerous charges at the Delaware trial, including “making false statements in the purchase of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a person who is an unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance.”

I cannot wait to watch the live updates at The Washington Post and other outlets. I bet the authors have a different tone than they did with the Trump trial.

Hunter faces numerous charges at the Delaware trial, including “making false statements in the purchase of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a person who is an unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance.”

Hunter is on trial because Judge Maryellen Noreika had a problem with the plea deal last year.

Jury selection has begun. President Joe Biden, who claims no one is above the law, gushed about his son:

“I am the President, but I am also a Dad. Jill and I love our son, and we are so proud of the man he is today. Hunter’s resilience in the face of adversity and the strength he has brought to his recovery are inspiring to us. A lot of families have loved ones who have overcome addiction and know what we mean,” Biden said. “As the President, I don’t and won’t comment on pending federal cases, but as a Dad, I have boundless love for my son, confidence in him, and respect for his strength. Our family has been through a lot together, and Jill and I are going to continue to be there for Hunter and our family with our love and support.”

Gross.

First Lady Jill Biden is at the trial, too.

I’ll update this post with any developments.

If he is entitled to a jury of his peers then 12 drug-addled man boys, on the fiddle, will sit in judgment of him.

drednicolson | June 3, 2024 at 10:29 am

Coming on the heels of the Bragg-of-kangaroos thrown at Trump, the optics will be troublesome should Hunter receive nary a slap on the wrist.

Optics, schmoptiks. The Democrats care only about power, and showing they are exercising power.

I don’t think the Biden administration would give two hoots about the optics.

The optics will be anything but troublesome when Hunter Biden gets off functionally without penalty. The point being made, especially after the Trump lynching, is that if you are in with the Leftist regime you can do anything without penalty as the law is what they say it is at any given moment.

And unlike the Republican in New York, this Democrat privileged pervert and drug abuser will get a free pass.

My bet. ABSOLUTELY zero punishment.

Because, Democrat in daddy’s home state of Del-a-Where?

Then both daddy and son can diddle little girls again.

Remember. “Doctor” Jill was Hunter and the dead one’s baby sitter.

Even before the trial begins, we know he is guilty of being a POS.

And Biden went to a star witnesses house a week ago

Ex DIL

Nothing there

Clearly, the defense will depend on jury nullification.

It’s interesting that of the pending cases against Biden, this case – perhaps the weakest case – is likely the only one that will be heard before the Election. There’s an outside chance that because of cases currently working their way through the Circuit courts, SCOTUS may address the specific question about the constitutionality of prohibiting ‘drug abusers’ from possessing firearms. A recent Eighth Circuit decision UNITED STATES v. VEASLEY (2024) – says that the practice is not a facial infirmity of the 2nd Amendment, BUT it left the door open to an as-applied challenge.

The other cases against Biden are constitutional and FACTUAL slam-dunks. And yet this is the case DoJ decided to move forward with.

Gun owners are saddled with the multi-level irony of gaining a long-desired immunity that the government would never grant any of THEM in a million years, only because those governments dare not apply it against the crown prince.

Gosport in reply to TargaGTS. | June 3, 2024 at 2:03 pm

This is the most lightweight of his charges and one that won’t leave much of a mark as it doesn’t implicate Biden and doesn’t have national significance.

Biden is forced by political reality to be seen to be doing “something”. This was a no-brainer choice.

Real American | June 3, 2024 at 11:52 am

he was the bag man for this daddy’s bribes. Also, he evaded taxes, but the DOJ wasn’t much interested in those crimes so they let the SOL pass without an indictment.

henrybowman in reply to Real American. | June 3, 2024 at 1:07 pm

But it turns out statutes of limitations are mutable things now. New Democrat rules. For instance, if the tax evasion were committed to further a murder scheme. And, of course, we don’t have to specify who the victim was, or even if the event actually happened, we just have to allege it, and poof, no more SOL.

“As the President, I don’t and won’t comment on pending federal cases… but the fix is in. Not a joke. Look, I was once nominated for the Supreme Court, right after I left the Naval Academy to drive 18-wheelers.” — Joe Biden

Wife has been on 2 juries, why don’t I ever get called? One was even a gun case. She didn’t discuss it with me until it was over but did ask me a few general firearm questions, very basic questions. When I finally got the lowdown on the case I laughed as I would have been a not guilty right out of the gate. The prosecutor obviously had zero knowledge of guns hence the few puzzled questions from my wife.
” How exactly does a DAO and a single action differ”? Pistol or revolver? Here are the basics.
” Can a gun go off if you drop it”? Well, sure I guess but, but…
“How”? Explanation of a Glock type handgun, a single action revolver like a Ruger Blackhawk and an original Colt single action revolver followed.
” Are full auto pistols common”? Not really
“Are they illegal”? Yes
” Can a person own a machine gun”? Got $50,000 and not a felon? Let’s talk Class 3 so, Yes
” Can a revolver be automatic”? WTF?
Yes there have been a few like a Norwegian and a French one from decades ago but I guentee you no one in our rural town in a rural state has ever seen one in person.
Very wide range of general firearm questions with an odd mix. I couldn’t wait to hear what the hell was going on.
