Biden Admin Tells San Diego Border Patrol to Continue Catch and Release for Most Illegal Aliens

The administration told the San Diego sector to catch and release illegal aliens except those from a few far Eastern Europe countries…not China, the Middle East, or South America.

I told you President Joe Biden’s border executive order did nothing. A day later, evidence was propped up, showing its worthlessness.

Well, an internal border patrol memo for the San Diego sector proves once again the administration is full of hot air.

The administration told the San Diego sector to catch and release illegal aliens except those from six countries: Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

Officials must label those from the six countries as “hard” or “very hard” to remove.

Everyone else? Process single adults as “Notice to Appear/Release on Own Recognizance” (NTA/OR).

Um, most who cross in San Diego come from China, Africa, and the Middle East.

From Fox News:

In a DHS background call with reporters on Friday, the agency acknowledged that it’s difficult for them to remove certain Eastern Hemisphere countries but that they are working with them, including China, to gain cooperation.

In the short term, mass catch-and-release continues, despite the way the executive order was advertised.

The administration tried to frame the executive order as Biden closing down the border if agents encounter over 2,500 *asylum-seeking* illegal aliens a day.

Daily crossings have averaged 4,000 people.

The EO also has too many caveats and exceptions, while agencies have insufficient personnel to handle everyone.

Also, hardly anyone mentions asylum. They want to see family or get a job.

“hard to remove”??? Regardless of their country of birth, the country that they resided (however briefly) in before entering illegally into the US is Mexico. Send them back to Mexico. That will result in the Mexican government getting the idea that they may be stuck with all these foreigners and so will become more serious about controlling who comes into Mexico. That will be progress.

They’re also ending agreements with detention facilities that hold some of these people, so that means that more questionable illegal immigrants will be released.

Target Hospitality (TH) received notice on Monday that the government will terminate its contract for the Dilley facility in 60 days, or on or about August 9, according to a statement late Monday.

CoreCivic (CXW) also announced that the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement that the agency intends to terminate its contract in 60 days, according to a statement on Monday.
