After Trump Verdict, Megyn Kelly Urges Republicans to Give Democrats “a Taste of Their Own Medicine”

After Trump Verdict, Megyn Kelly Urges Republicans to Give Democrats “a Taste of Their Own Medicine”

Theme joined by others, including John Hinderaker at Powerline: “If Trump wins in November, his Department of Justice should immediately indict Biden, and Biden should be hounded until the day he dies or goes to prison, whichever happens first.”

The Trump guilty verdict has got many people on the right very angry and for good reasons. Some prominent voices are even calling for payback.

Now that Democrats believe this tactic is working, they will keep using it until it doesn’t work anymore. One of the only ways to make them understand why this is a bad thing, is to make it hurt for them.

Megyn Kelly understands this. She recently spoke about it on her podcast.

Transcript via Real Clear Politics:

MEGYN KELLY: This whole scheme, and here it is the proper word is corrupt. It’s a before and after moment for America. What just happened today is a line we can’t uncross, and these Democrats will rue the day they decided to use lawfare to stop a presidential candidate.

I’m not talking about violence; I’m talking about tit for tat. You just wait, and it won’t be Hunter Biden next time; it’s going to be Joe Biden. It could potentially still be Barack Obama. It could still potentially be Hillary Clinton. We’re going to have to look at what the statutes of limitations are on the various crimes they surely committed.

We’re going to have to look at passing laws to revive those dead crimes, felonies, or misdemeanors so that those cases can be brought out of time. That’s what may be in the interest of justice, just like they did for E.J. Carroll with the New York State law that was passed so that she could sue him. That’s what happened.

Turnabout is fair play. And John Yoo, an amazing lawyer who worked in the Bush administration Department of Justice, has a great piece out today talking about how that’s the only way they’ll learn.

The only way to save the Republic now is to give them a taste of their own medicine. That’s it. That’s it. They tasted blood today. They’re the wolves with the bloody piece of meat in their mouths. That doesn’t stop the wolf from coming back for more. The only thing that will stop him is if he loses a limb of his own.

Watch the clip below:

Sean Davis, the CEO of The Federalist, says it’s time for Republicans to start making lists of Democrats to prosecute and put in prison.

Mediaite reported:

The Federalist CEO Calls For Republicans to Draw Up Lists of Democrats to ‘Put in Prison’ After Trump Verdict

Sean Davis, the CEO and co-founder of the the right-wing website The Federalist, called on Republicans to draw up lists of Democrats to “put in prison” in a social media post reacting to Donald Trump’s conviction on Thursday evening.

“In 2016, the presidential race was decided based on candidates releasing lists of potential Supreme Court nominees,” wrote Davis. “In 2024, I want to see lists of which Democrat officials are going to be put in prison.”

“This is what happens when you cross the Rubicon,” he added.

Even John Hinderaker over at Powerline is talking this way:

What to do now? First, it is now absolutely essential that Trump be elected president. The Democrats cannot be allowed to get away with this effort to turn America into a banana republic.

Second, the Democrats understand nothing except the raw exercise of power. Therefore, Republican attorneys general and district attorneys should bring criminal charges against Democratic officeholders wherever possible. No Democratic officeholder should be allowed to retire, in any jurisdiction with Republican law enforcement, without facing criminal charges. There can’t be a single Democratic official in America against whom a criminal case can’t be brought that is better than this case against Trump. It should be open season on Democrats in the criminal courts.

Third, the criminal prosecutions should begin with Joe Biden. Unlike Trump, Biden is actually a criminal. He is already known to be guilty under the federal bribery statute, to the tune of at least $20 million. If Trump wins in November, his Department of Justice should immediately indict Biden, and Biden should be hounded until the day he dies or goes to prison, whichever happens first.

We are no longer in the realm of William F. Buckley and intellectual discussions.

The Democrats have crossed a line, and they will not stop until they are forced to do so.

Idiotic. You have to win voters, not the pols the voters elect.

How is it that you propose to win those anonymous mail-in ballots that suddenly appear at 3am on counting day??

    You’re an idiot.

You could start by explaining rule of law, its advantages and why this isn’t it; instead of discarding rule of law both ways.

The best podcast ever (now on YouTube) on what rule of law is.

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZK6u6r-7y74

That’s where you should start with the counter argument.

All so rhhardin can go to his grave without lifting a finger to combat those who wish to destroy the Constitution.

The rules are dead. Democrats made the new rules. Long live the rules.

@rh…. the “other side” has ALREADY REJECTED the rule of law.

You are so incredibly naive. Tea and crumpets discussions about the merits of the “rule of law” only work if the other side possesses a scintilla of decency, integrity, civility and honesty. And, if it actually values the notion of the “rule of law.” Which, it should be quite obvious to you by now, the vile and wretched Dhimmi-crat, totalitarian apparatchiks do not.

rhhardin in reply to guyjones. | June 2, 2024 at 3:32 pm

It’s not subtle. Rule of law is about protections that you have to give to the individual before you take his freedom or property. This includes leftists!

          1. No extraordinary procedures. Hillary gets treated the same as Joe Blow with respect to procedures against her. You can’t just “get’ Hillary out of anger.

          2. The tribunal has to be impartially constituted. The decision-makers have to be impartially selected, independent and unbiased, with no connection to either side of the issue. No right wing judges or juries judging Hillary.

          3. Notice function: She has to be told what the charges against her are, specific statutes that apply.

          4. Right to be heard: she is able to speak in her defense and call witnesses in her favor.

          5. Separation: the judicial proceeding has to be independent of the State that is charging her.

Written to seem reasonable to a TDS liberal just by citing Hillary, but all of these basic rules were violated flagrantly for Trump.

          That sort of argument.

          rhhardin,

Those would be nice. In fact we used to have them. Further we kept trying to inform and educate our political opposition that we shouldn’t abandon them. Unfortunately the d/prog didn’t listen. Not after Ted Stevens. Not after Tom Delay. Not after Bob McDonald. Now we have them gloating about the first ‘scalp’ from Trump taken by Bragg with several more Stalinist show trials set up by scalp hunting, ideological d/prog prosecutors to come.

The d/prog DO NOT give a hoot about civic norms and traditions, adherence to rule of law nor will they refrain from politically motivated prosecution much less refraining from the appearance of embarking upon the same. They keep demonstrating this.

The d/prog care about achieving and maintaining political power. They have abandoned the old rule sets. Your and others incessant demands that we stick to tournament rules in what has devolved into a back alley street brawl is incredibly naive and doomed to failure as history clearly shows. I wish it were different but it isn’t. No mercy.

It’s their voters that have to be targeted.

Not for nothing but voter registration lists are available to the public so if you want to target registered d/prog that is a workable option. Personally I would start with officials and large donors but you do you.

Contrary to the prosecutions of Trump, Republicans have the advantage of being able to prosecute certain high-value Dems for actual crimes, crimes the American public can understand (because they’re real):

Barack Obama – Murder of American citizens
Joe Biden – Mishandling of classified documents, bribery, racketeering
Hillary Clinton – Mishandling of classified documents (we already have a list of her crimes, thanks to James Comey)
Alejandro Mayorkas: Perjury, dereliction of duty/negligence

And remember, convictions aren’t necessary. No matter where these cases are brought, the low probability of conviction shouldn’t be a deterrent. As the Dems have made clear, the process is the punishment.

Also, when reelected, Trump can announce that pardons/non-prosecution agreements (hell, he can announce cash rewards) will be available for anyone who comes forward who is able to provide evidence/testimony exposing those who directed the steal of the 2020 election.

There’s your “rule of law.” The Republicans have no need to take the low road. Fire directed from the heights is always more effective than that directed from lowlands.

      rhhardin in reply to JohnSmith100. | June 2, 2024 at 3:36 pm

You can’t take scalps (again the kill your opponent metaphor) and keep rule of law. See the rules just posted nearby that were violated for Trump and strive to keep them for everybody, left or right. Otherwise you’re just into killing. Great for clickbait but not for the country.

We’re past that point. Juan Merchan is Colombian. He is acting like a Colombian judge—the verdict was given to him beforehand, and his job is to deliver it by engineering the jury and his rulings to that end. Call it a banana republic if you will, but those are the orders that Matthew Colangelo probably brought with him into Alvin Bragg’s office the day he walked in through the door. Nobody else gives up a DOJ job at his level to become Bragg’s flunky unless there is a higher purpose and a big payoff (probably law partnership) waiting for him upon delivery.

Isn’t this the same harridan that so screeched at Trump as a debate moderator that he said she had blood coming out of her eyes? A cheap opportunist.

She asked Trump if he could win over female voters after well known use of language they find repulsive; he falsely claimed he only ever did that involving Rosie O’Donnell she corrected him.

Today Donald J Trump doesn’t give a dam about that 25 seconds of his life when he was asked if his choice of words would be alienating to women in a primary debate about electability, that you care about it says something about you not Megyn Kelly.

A majority of American voters voted against Trump twice. We aren’t reaching 59%+1 without winning some of them over. If Megyn Kelly someone who voted Trump twice isn’t good enough for you……

It’s demeaning to even be made aware that there are Megyn Kelly podcasts, let alone their content. The dumbing down and feminization of America continue.

Her guests to discuss the verdict included some of the best living lawyers in the world like Alan Dershowitz so I don’t know what you define as “dumbing down”.

Women and girls should be feminine while men and boys should be masculine. I don’t know what you mean by her show being an example of “feminization of America” either.

men and women constantly grab each other, there are both verbal and non verbal ways we invite each other to do this. I doubt that most women are offended.

        DaveGinOly in reply to JohnSmith100. | June 2, 2024 at 5:48 pm

Please also note that the “grab ’em in the pussy” comment was made during a conversation about women attracted to men in positions of power. Trump said that such women want those men to “grab ’em in the pussy.” He did not say he did so. He was not advocating that men should do so. His statement is arguably true, as some such women would likely attest.

In polite company, someone other than Trump may have said “some women throw themselves at powerful men.” “Throwing themselves” is a euphemism for “offering themselves for sex.” This is not open to argument. It is a well-known fact, especially to men in positions of power.

There are many D officials who should be on that list, but in my opinion the most egregious offenders are Hillary Clinton, Obama, and Pedo Joe. From treason to murder to arkancide to kiddie diddling, those three surely deserve to meet their Maker, and we can arrange the meeting.

Note: we don’t just need conservative judges who will apply the law strictly. That’s fighting fire with a water pistol. We need to own judges who are just as corrupt as Juan Merchan, or Beryl Powell, or some of the other clowns in black robes we’ve been subjected to from the left.

Looking at it on the highest levels, there is a distinction between the conduct that is illegal and not charged by prosecutorial discretion, and conduct that is legal and is charged by prosecutorial maladministration.

In other words, you don’t need a corrupt judge when it’s not a show trial, but the rule of law.

DaveGinOly in reply to oldschooltwentysix. | June 2, 2024 at 5:55 pm

Although your statement is true, a corrupt judge can still derail an legitimate prosecution. But if playing by the rules means we sometimes draw the short straw and end up with one such judge presiding, the process is still the punishment. The harassment alone is worth the effort. The Dems must be made to feel the pain. Throw everything legal (including novel legal theories) against the wall and see what sticks. Show them they’re exposed too, and that rough play is not a one-way street.

Maybe some sort of Nuremberg trials. At the same time we don’t want to became them. So do it very carefully.

Sadly she is right
But start with a high priority with known crime
Sundowner and his Chinese payoffs

“Trump pollster John McLaughlin found that 4.6% of Biden voters would have changed their minds if they had known about it, easily enough to flip results in key states. Another survey by The Polling Company showed that even more Biden voters in seven swing states — 17% — would have switched their votes if they had been aware of the laptop and other stories.”

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2022/mar/24/medias-suppression-of-hunter-laptop-was-election-i/

That was 2020 and the laptop hoax. Now the 2024 hoax is here. Will people see through it, that Biden has nothing besides his consuming hatred for Trump and, by extension, people that abhor his cruel, corrupt, anti-American approach.

DaveGinOly in reply to oldschooltwentysix. | June 2, 2024 at 6:03 pm

The Clinton campaign was responsible for the laptop letter, soliciting the signatures of those “former intelligence” experts to declare the laptop story “had all the earmarks of Russian disinformation.”

Were their opinions and signatures “unreported campaign contributions”? This is less far-fetched than Trump’s payments to Stormy Daniels as a “campaign expense,” because their opinions were solicited by the campaign and were calculated to have an effect on the election.

irishgladiator63 | June 2, 2024 at 1:00 pm

Not just prosecution either. Security clearances need to be revoked instanty. And there is no executive privilege for Biden. Every tape and document needs released in it’s entirety.

M.K. interviewed Trump last fall, so I guess they are both over 2016. She is willing to change her mind. I saw the same during the Depp/Heard trial. She did a 180 on Heard after she saw Heard’s cringe worthy testimony.

Start with narcissist-incompetent-dunce, Obama.

“Fast and Furious;” his criminal quashing of an active DEA investigation into Iranian terrorist proxy, Hezb’allah’s U.S. dope-peddling operations, in order to remove any obstacles to his treasonous Iran capitulation/appeasement (farcically characterized as a “deal,” by the obsequious and wretched Dhimmi-crat lapdog/trained seal/shill media propagandists); the pallets of cash and God knows what else that Obama clandestinely shipped to Iran in the dead of night, as sweeteners to his Iran capitulation/appeasement; Obama and lackeys leaking Israeli intelligence to Iran; the list of crimes is endless.

The enemy has chosen to “take scalps”; repeatedly, deliberately, and with no penalty ever. They have destroyed the rule of law. And in the absence of compulsion against their will, they will fight to the death to prevent the highly unlikely return of the rule of law.

They have neither consciences nor love of country and Constitution. In a one sided legal system [not judicial] only one side survives. They intend that it not be us.

The “official opposition” to the Left does anything but oppose them. They may take turns yielding, but there is always a Republican “leader/group” somewhere who rolls over just enough so that the Left gets everything that they want and the American people get nothing, despite winning elections.

As an example, take the State of Ohio . . . please. The sovereign State of Ohio, like all states, makes its election laws and calendars publicly. To be on the presidential ballot in Ohio, you have have the candidate officially named by the party before a certain date. No exceptions, and the date is neither secret nor a strain to meet.

The Democrats, in the full knowledge of that law, deliberately scheduled their convention well after this hard deadline. Normally, and especially if it had been a Republican or anyone to the right of Trotsky who had done this, they would not be on the ballot and would have no legal means of winning Ohio’s electoral votes [17] which could be enough to swing the presidential election.

The Democrats deliberately ignored the law and scheduled their nominating convention well after the deadline. Thus making their candidate ineligible to run in Ohio. They expected the state of Ohio to just deliberately ignore the law and let them run anyway.

Without getting into all the court and legislative details, as of this moment it is the Republican Party of Ohio which is trying to suspend their own law to allow the Democrat to run against the Republican candidate in Ohio.

Deliberate surrender is the GOPe’s normal position. We are not going to defeat the Left by surrendering more and harder to make them love us. We are past the point where we share a Social Contract with the Left and where there is any reason to grant any political quarter to the Left.

“We are past the point where we share a Social Contract with the Left and where there is any reason to grant any political quarter to the Left.”

It may be enough, perhaps even better, to hold them to the Social Contract we would like to have with each other.

We don’t need to scalp them for non-crimes. There are enough crime, crimes if only we would hold them to the — um — standard, standard.

Like that Ohio law. Don’t have to make anything up, change the law, fabricate “evidence”, find a new theory, or whatever.n”Printed up the ballots the day after submission deadline. You have a problem with the font?”
