Portland State: Police Recover ‘Improvised Weapons’ Left Behind in Library by Pro-Hamas Mob

Portland State: Police Recover ‘Improvised Weapons’ Left Behind in Library by Pro-Hamas Mob

The mob trashed the library. They stole rare books and comic books.

The Portland Police Bureau took back Portland State University’s police library from a pro-Hamas mob.

The mob trashed the library. They stole rare books and comic books.

The mob also left behind a bunch of homemade weapons intended to be used against the police.

Police showed up in riot gear at 6 AM and performed the raid at 8 AM:

At least two arrests were made before 8 a.m., and just before 9 a.m., around three dozen protesters were spotted running out of the library, busting through police barricades and into the South Park Blocks bordering PSU’s downtown campus. Authorities said they are taking lawful action and asked the public to not interrupt and interfere with them.

PPB previously said they did not plan to use tear gas on the protesters inside the building. However, chemical munitions appeared to be administered in the open air once the protest made its way outside around 10 a.m.

Authorities also noted officers were armed with 40mm less-lethal launchers, which they said are regulated by Portland police’s use-of-force policies.

Following the clearing of the library, protestors took to the street and eventually congregated around the park blocks where police had set up police tape lines around the library.

“The mob trashed the library. They stole rare books and comic books.”

Well, it was Portland, so the comics probably were the only “rare books.”

Same happened here to CalPoly Humboldt. Several hundred thousand dollars worth of damage to Sieman’s Hall that the ‘protestors’ took over.
Check this out… of the 35 people arrested inside the hall, only 13 were students, 1 assistant professor (from Tehran) and the rest were outsiders.

This was obviously a nationally organized and sponsored event.

After Iran is returned to the good old days of the 8th century, then we can drop all their terrorists off there. After they have all been moved to Iran, we can discuss their final disposition.

The fascist revolution is on. The first thing we have to do is give our law enforcement men and women immunity from prosecution

Not a fan. They should be held accountable not released to run roughshod over rights. Where would it end? Would you mind if the left did the same to you?
What is really needed is judges and DA’s that will prosecute the criminals on campus not release them within hours without charges.

You must be out of your mind. Police follow orders. Was it? What happened during the summer of 2020 enough?

Confirmed (again): Islam is a cancer in the West.

Guess university admuinistrations have never heard the song, The Snake:
“I saved you”, cried the woman
“and you’ve bit me even , why?”
You know your bite is posionous and now I’m gonna die”
“Oh shut up, silly woman”, said the reptile with a grin,
“You knew damned well I was a snake before you took me in”.

I express no astonishment at all that these intellectual titans stole comic books.
I wonder only why comic books had any place in a “police library.”
Unless this is an error by the author, as this “fact” appears only one time in the article.

It’s not a police library, lol. That was an error. The comics…. probably the entire Squirrel Girl collection. lol

Hey, now! Ease up! Some of our greatest minds read and collected comics.

An aerospace engineer from MIT, called Howard Wolowitz. Rajesh Kootrapali, the astrophysicist. Sheldon Cooper, Nobel Prize winner in the field of physics.

Rare, one-of-a-kind books that were part of @Portland_State library’s special collection were stolen. Those texts were kept behind glass to be used inside the library for research purposes. Your comrades smashed the glass and stole them, Alissa.

The neo-commie college morons were just emulating their idols, the palestinians. This was their re-enactment of the palestinian takeover of the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. They destroyed a lot of the books, urinated and defecated all over the place and held gunfights from inside the church – along with holding some priests and nuns hostage. Maybe these college commies will get the same treatment as the palestinian gunmen did … all expenses paid new lives in Europe (most ended up on the islands of Greece, I think – though I don’t really remember).

These days you can no longer have anything on public view in a library. And that’s why I advocate that any libraries public or private put their rare books, texts, and other materials in a fireproof vault and strictly limit who has the combination/keys to the vault door and who has access to the material. It’s the only sensible thing to o these days as you never know what is going to occur.

Or conversely, you do know what is going to occur: illiterate Marxist mobs burning books and destroying property.

Since they don’t read and don’t believe in private property, it figures.

BigRosieGreenbaum | May 3, 2024 at 1:06 pm

The police should have used tear gas; it would have been perfectly reasonable.

You don’t want to do that unless you’re ready to write off the building. It’s only slightly less impossible to get out of the ducts and fabrics than tobacco smoke.

Haha, comic books. That reminds me, I think it’s time to watch this again:
