The teen faces a charge of criminal mischief in the third degree, a felony, and making graffiti, a misdemeanor.

UPDATE: The intitial report that the alleged perpetrator was turned in by his father now is being denied. The NY Post, which was the source for the story, now reports (h/t commenter): “Sources had previously believed he was turned in by his dad Thursday night but cops have since refuted that.” The headline has been changed accordingly.

Original Post:

We need more parents like this man.

The police arrested the teenager who allegedly defaced the WWI 107th Infantry Memorial in Central Park after his father turned him in.

The teen is a regular at anti-Israel protests organized by Within Our Lifetime.

The teen faces a charge of criminal mischief in the third degree, a felony, and making graffiti, a misdemeanor.

The attack on the memorial happened on Monday as cops tried to keep the mob away from the Met Gala.

Within Our Lifetime organized this “Day of Rage.”

One person burned the American flag. Others wrote their talking points on the memorial and slapped it with stickers.

“Stop the Genocide.” “End the apartheid.” “Free Palestine.”

They climbed the statue and placed the Palestinian flag over the figures.

The mob also attacked Civil War Gen. William Tecumseh Sherman’s statue in Grand Army Plaza.

I heard that’s false, his father did not turn him in

If this is so, then Good Dad!

Why didn’t the father sob and scream that his son was oppressed, and hadn’t done anything, that he was a great student who was turning his life around, and was on the road to getting a lucrative rap contract?

Clue is in the photo.

If that was my son, he would be finding a new place to live if he ever did that.

On Monday, police arrested 44 people who were preparing to break into a UCLA building. They seized numerous tools like crowbars. It appears one of the arrestees may have been a “legal observer” from the National Lawyers Guild. Note the lime green caps.

You know what they call a “legal observer” arrested while entering a building illegally?

    A defendant.

“One of the culprits was placed in handcuffs today thanks to the World’s Greatest Detectives.”

World’s Greatest Detectives are hard at work sitting by the phone waiting for calls from parents of all the others.

What does a WW1 memorial have to do with the current protests? Nothing, Nothing at all.

Muslims come to this country. Stir up trouble by telling a bunch of lies. Gather sympathizers. Sympathizers show sympathy toward foreign terrorists by defacing their own country’s historical monuments—even though the monuments they’re defacing have nothing to do with what they’re protesting. But who cares? That’s not the point.

The point is they have been brainwashed into thinking that enemies are good and that their own country, in which they live, is bad.

This is how traitors are made.

this is how commies over turn countries… destroy that nations history…then rewrite it to the commies

Shock effect. That’s what drives many if not most of the bizarre actions during these events (and in maladjusted teen’s daily lives, (See nose rings, freaky colored hair, goth clothing, Gazan cosplay, etc.)

Like terrorists, they employ that shock and fear to get attention.

Good. If that were my son, he would be bloodied before I turned him in.

Before he offers his love for Gaza, make him watch and listen to the atrocities.

The Gentle Grizzly | May 10, 2024 at 4:37 pm

Mary, thank you for not saying the father turned his son “into” the police. That would be an interesting conversion indeed.

BierceAmbrose | May 10, 2024 at 11:10 pm

The point of “expressing” a message by mucking with other people’s stuff or person isn’t the message. The point of doing it that way is the other message that “we can muck with you and your stuff, and will.” That second one isn’t protected.

Mary, when you issue an update to a story, it would help if you included the time of the update, to save unnecessary confusion and argument. We get enough of that already.
