Boston Council Member Calls for “Revolution,” Screeches Anti-White Vitriol at Council Meetings

Apparently, Boston council member Tania Fernandes Anderson is alarming her colleagues at City Hall with her strange tirades and threats, among them her goal to start some kind of “revolution.”

Here’s a sampling of her screaming at the council.

Fox News reports:

A Democratic Boston city council member, who called to “dismantle the White backdrop” in America and “create a revolution,” is starting to disturb her liberal colleagues with her wild antics and threats, according to a source who spoke with Fox News Digital. The source is a city hall employee, who requested anonymity because council member Tania Fernandes Anderson has created an “unhealthy” environment. The employee believes Fernandes Anderson is a “troubled person,” who uses accusations of racism to get people to fall in line. The source discussed the challenges of having someone in the city’s government who has been – in their view – hostile, verbally abusive and antisemitic. “People are intimidated by her. And that intimidation does work,” the source said. They said some members would give into her because “no one want[s] to disagree with Tania because she’s unpredictable.” Fernandes Anderson was elected in November 2021, and is self-described as “the first formally undocumented African born immigrant & first Muslim elected in the city of Boston.”Since being elected, she stated her goal was to create a “revolution” for “equity.”. . . . Fernandes Anderson said the goal of her manner of speaking relates to the fact that “we should dismantle the White backdrop [in America] and we should restructure it so that it’s welcoming.”

Yeah, she’s real welcoming. I can’t even imagine what a nightmare she must be to work for or with.

Another Fox News report details her antisemitism.

Boston City Councilor Tania Fernandes Anderson was exposed for accusing Israel of committing “genocide” and “apartheid” in Gaza in a draft of a resolution calling for a ceasefire in the Jewish state’s war against Hamas, according to a recent report.”The ongoing bombardment of the Gaza Strip comes in the context of the 75-year displacement of Palestinians,” the draft resolution stated, according to the Boston Herald, which obtained a copy of the earlier version. The final version, which Anderson filed Monday amid large student-led pro-Palestinian protests at several colleges in the Boston area, didn’t include those accusations and is her second attempt to pass a ceasefire resolution.”The original resolution clearly contained an antisemitic message,” a City Hall source told the Herald. “The tone and language were inaccurate, outrageous and divisive.”. . . . The Muslim council member has also recently been embroiled in controversy over her poor attendance record at city council meetings, missing important votes related to police budgets and public safety over the past year.

Her troubling antics appear to have started the day she was supposed to be sworn into office and failed to utter the oath.

The rest of the tweet reads:

Video footage obtained by BAN shows that Councilor Tania Fernandes Anderson (@tania4d7), while physically present, did not actually participate in the ceremony.More straightforward, Anderson did not utter a single word of her oath of office, as required by the Boston City CharterWe have reached out to Councilor Anderson for comment, as well as newly elected President Ruthzee Louijeune (@ruthzee), and will provide an update when/if one becomes available.

According to Boston.com, Anderson was asked to take the oath again as a result of her smirking refusal to take it the first time.

The Boston City Council, including four newly elected members, was inaugurated on Monday, with Mayor Michelle Wu leading them in the oath of office. However, a video shared on Wednesday by the Boston Accountability Network shows Councilor Tania Fernandes Anderson not speaking during the entire recitation.. . . . Fernandes Anderson has been instructed to retake her oath due to the video, The Boston Herald reported. Both Louijeune and the city’s law department told the District 7 councilor to retake it, the paper said.

Anderson seems to suffer from some ethical shortcomings, as well.

Boston.com continues:

In July 2023, Fernandes Anderson admitted to ethical violations that involved hiring her sister and her son as paid employees of her staff. Fernandes Anderson agreed to pay a $5,000 fine. Both of her family members received $70,000 salaries, according to a disposition. Both were no longer employed by August 2022.
