Blinken Tells Israel to ‘Get Out of Gaza’ as IDF Fights Hamas in Rafah Terror Stronghold

Blinken Tells Israel to ‘Get Out of Gaza’ as IDF Fights Hamas in Rafah Terror Stronghold

IDF to Hamas: We are coming like a ‘roaring flood.’

Secretary of State Antony Blinken has sharpened his rhetoric towards Israel, telling the key U.S. ally to ‘get out of Gaza’ as the Israeli military tightens the noose around Hamas’ terrorist leadership in Rafah.

Blinken prophesied “enduring insurgency” in the long run if the Israeli military conducts a large-scale offensive in Rafah, Hamas’s last remaining stronghold, which has a terrorist fighting force with a strength of about four battalions.

“As we look at Rafah, they may go in and have some initial success, but potentially at an incredibly high cost to civilians,” the U.S. Secretary of State said in a TV interview on Sunday. “And they will be left holding the bag on an enduring insurgency because a lot of armed Hamas will be left, no matter what they do in Rafah, or if they leave and get out of Gaza, as we believe they need to do.”

Blinken’s warning comes as Israeli tanks and infantry were making further inroads into Hamas-held stronghold. “Israeli tanks forged deeper into eastern Rafah on Tuesday, reaching some residential districts of the southern border city,” The Times of Israel reported. More than 450,000 residents have left Rafah as urged by the IDF, the UN confirmed on Tuesday.

The Associated Press reported Secretary Blinken’s comments:

Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Sunday delivered some of the Biden administration’s strongest public criticism yet of Israel’s conduct of the war in Gaza, saying Israeli tactics have meant “a horrible loss of life of innocent civilians” but failed to neutralize Hamas leaders and fighters and could drive a lasting insurgency.

In a pair of TV interviews, Blinken underscored that the United States believes Israeli forces should “get out of Gaza,” but also is waiting to see credible plans from Israel for security and governance in the territory after the war.

Hamas has reemerged in parts of Gaza, Blinken said, and “heavy action” by Israeli forces in the southern city of Rafah risks leaving America’s closest Mideast ally “holding the bag on an enduring insurgency.” (…)

Blinken also said that as Israel pushes deeper in Rafah in the south, a military operation may “have some initial success” but risks “terrible harm” to the population without solving a problem “that both of us want to solve, which is making sure Hamas cannot again govern Gaza.”  (…) Israel has said the city also hosts four battalions of Hamas fighters.

IDF to Hamas: We are coming like a ‘roaring flood’

The IDF dropped leaflets over northern Gaza, warning Hamas’ jihadist fighters trying to regroup in the area that they will return “like a roaring flood” to destroy the remnant terrorist force. “Oh Hamas leaders, we are coming. If you come back, we will come back,” the leaflet said. “We will return like a roaring flood until the clear victory.”

Besides cornering Hamas terror leadership in Rafah, the IDF is conducting counter-terror operations in northern Gaza. The IDF overnight expanded activity in the Jabalya region in the north, the Israel TV channel i24NEWS reported Tuesday.

The IDF is engaged in large-scale ground operations against terrorists not seen since Israel withdrew troops in early April amid pressure from the Biden White House, news reports suggest. “IDF Division 98 on Tuesday killed dozens of Hamas terrorists in Jabalya in northern Gaza in the largest Gaza battle since mid-March and the largest battle in Jabalya itself since January,” the Jerusalem Post reported Tuesday.

The i24NEWS reported the operations unfolding in northern Gaza:

According to the Israeli military, over the past day, Israeli troops “engaged in a number of battles, eliminated by tank fire dozens of terrorists who shot at the troops and dismantled an explosives network that was planted in the area.”

Israeli troops are also said to continue operations in eastern Rafah and on the Gazan side of the Rafah crossing. IDF reported killing several armed terrorist cells in close-quarters encounters on the Gazan side of the Rafah crossing.

Israeli Air Forces (IAF) struck over 100 terrorist targets across the Strip, including armed terrorists, booby-trapped structures, and additional terrorist infrastructure, read the IDF statement.

Report: IDF exposes Hamas plan to set up terror base in Turkey

The IDF has uncovered Hamas’ plan to set up a terrorist base in Turkey, the UK newspapers Times of London and Telegraph report. With IDF crippling the terror group’s ability to operate in Gaza, Hamas operatives were looking at Turkey as a potential base for plotting terrorist attacks aimed at Israeli officials, servicemen, and civilians, documents recovered by the IDF show.

The Telegraph reported Tuesday:

Hamas planned to set up a base in Turkey from which to carry out sabotage and assassinations, according to documents reportedly found by the Israeli army in Gaza.

The papers, shown to The Times [of London], were discovered in the home of Hamza Abu Shanab, chief of staff to Yahya Sinwar, the Hamas leader in Gaza, the Israeli military said.

The files detail an effort by Hamas to set up teams outside its territory in the wake of Israeli moves to tighten control over the Gaza Strip.

The plans included establishing “a security branch abroad which will be capable of carrying out intelligence and military operations in the future”.

The files, which The Telegraph cannot independently confirm, also allegedly described a three-year plan to set up military cells and safe houses abroad to work on “sabotage and assassination.”

Assassination targets supposedly included agents in Mossad, Israel’s intelligence agency, as well as “influential Israelis”.

Turkey’s Islamist President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has emerged as the biggest backer of the Hamas terror group besides Iran and Qatar. After the October 7 massacre, Erdogan claimed that Hamas jihadis ” are not terrorists” but “liberators.”

On Monday, the Turkish president declared the presence of around a thousand Hamas terrorists in the country. They were receiving medical treatment for injuries suffered during the ongoing Israeli military operation in Gaza, he said.

“have some initial success, but potentially at an incredibly high cost to civilians,” the U.S. Secretary of State”

71% or more of those so called “civilians” support Hamas and terrorism against Israel. they should die if they get out of line. The answer to more Hamas is not to give them any breaks.

Is there any chance of sending Blinken and his family to join Hamas, maybe then he would understand their nature.?

This seems to me questionable, confusing, and ridiculous on so many levels as to make paying attention to what they say useless.
    1) Does he even mean what he says or is it an attempt to virtue signal, and if so, to who?
    2) He thinks Israel is in danger of facing an enduring insurgency? Hello!?!
    3) He wants Israel to get out of Gaza? It seems like that was tried years ago and is how we got where we are now.
    4) Do a large number of people not have the common sense to realize these things? Do they just not care? Are we at a point where it makes no difference, the guy behind the curtain does what he wants anyway?

    5) it is vain to put one’s hope in man who cannot save, or in princes

      6) It is pretty clear whose side Blinken is on
      7) If Blinken had a statue, it would be treated with the greatest of respect by Pro-Palestinian protesters hating on Israel

Dude…they already have a lasting insurgency. Typical leftist: thinks history started five minutes ago.

Muslim supremacists and Islamofascists have been running an “insurgency” against Jews, Christians, Hindus, Buddhists and other non-Muslims for over 1,400 years, since that supremacist, totalitarian, belligerent, hate-filled and pathology-laden ideology’s wretched founding.

The vile and evil Dhimmi-crats are naturally too stupid and feckless to comprehend this reality.

Wow, man. You REALLY hate Muslims! Good for you!

FOAF in reply to Thad Jarvis. | May 14, 2024 at 5:10 pm

Earth to thaddi: the passages in the Hamas charter that call for the murder of Jews (not Israelis, Zionists or “settlers”) are taken from Muslim hadiths.

You’re so patently stupid and childish, you dim-witted twit. Repeating the same inane ramblings, ad nauseam, totally absent of a scintilla of intelligence, rationality or moral probity.

You’re the prototypical self-congratulatory and myopic Dhimmi-crat, stupidly and fallaciously construing legitimate criticism of the ideology of “Submission” as hating Muslims.

guyjones in reply to Thad Jarvis. | May 14, 2024 at 7:10 pm

Historical and theological realities are too much for you to handle, “Thad.” Your stupidity is boundless.

Tell Anthony Blinken to perch on his thumb and rotate.

Jesus it’s the fucking 90’s again.

When I was growing up in teh 90’s that’s literally all you’d hear from the propaganda press.

Gaza occupation!

Gaza oppression!

Oppressed Palestinians in Gaza!

Withdraw from Gaza for peace!

Gaza Gaza Gaza Gaza Gaza it was all they would talk about.

Then, of course, Israel DID withdraw from Gaza, and they immediately started screaming about them giving up more land.

That was the point you could see a lot of conservatives opinions turn sharply towards Israel (and then a massive boost after 9/11) and the trend continued for the last 20 years.

Israel should respond to their nonsense by asking them what withdrawing from Gaza got them last time.

Biden supporting hamas.

Was there ever any doubt??

Its official now.

Hey, Blinken: STFU & MYOB.

This is only about Michigan and Minnesota and nothing else!

    JohnSmith100 in reply to natdj. | May 14, 2024 at 4:29 pm

This is only about Michigan in the short term, there is clear evidence that the problem is bigger than 2 states.

Sorry, my comment above was meant to be free standing

Under his shirt is a Code Pink t-shirt. He fits right in.

So this admin is literally on the side of terrorism

This Blinken literally comes across like a longterm forensic psychiatric in-patient, suffering from fixed false beliefs (i e “delusions”)

If he were to be brought in front of a mental health court, the judge would rule that Antony should be given time off from work, and to be kept away from

(1) sharp objects,

(2) signing any contracts etc

…. until he’s had time to recover his senses.

And if he cannot heal, if he cannot life in reality, then his family should help him apply for a disability pension.

It’ll be a miracle if the world survives Biden/Blinken.

Blinken should be indicted no later than the end of January. What for? I don’t care. Raid his house in the middle of the night. Drag him hogtied past the new cameras that just happened to be outside. Indict his wife, kids, pets, 1st-grade teacher. Play by their rules from here on out.

Lawfare with a twist. Claims about Trump were fabricated, assault on Dems will be based on their actual crimes. There are so many crooked players, finding space in prison will be difficult.

I’d rather that he just quietly disappeared and was never heard from or seen again. No one would miss him.

As best I can see from US government actions, the government considers Iran to be “America’s closest Mideast ally”. The US government has made its choice. I commend the works of Herman Kahn to the Israeli government.

Best read Isaiah 31:1-5. Replace “Egypt” with “USA” and it becomes contemporary. The Biden Hidden Junta backs Iran and, by extension, their proxies. There must be something BIG hidden in the background for this Administration to openly go this route. Are Michigan and Minnesota being readied for The Summer of Hamas should they NOT support Iran? This Admin… and the Dem Party as a whole are willing to sell out Israel for US Muslim votes…. is TDS that bad… or something more????

Saving Hamas, disgusting

Blinken Tells Israel to ‘Get Out of Gaza.’

Israel Tells Blinken to ‘Get the F*ck Out of Here.’

Gremlin1974 | May 14, 2024 at 6:46 pm

I believe Israel has already made their intentions known and pretty pointedly made it clear that the cowards and betas from the current “administration”‘s opinions don’t matter.

There are no civilians in Rafah.

How did a 1,000 injured Hamas get to Turkey??

    DaveGinOly in reply to jb4. | May 14, 2024 at 11:39 pm

Probably because Israel turned a blind, humanitarian eye to their transport (almost certainly by sea). Israel doesn’t get half the credit it’s due for its humanitarian efforts that favor its opponents.

When Blinken speaks,

the world sees the stumbling-fumbling-mumbling lawyer in My Cousin Vinny.
