Bill Maher Rips Biden Student Loan Forgiveness: ‘My Tax Dollars Are Supporting This Jew Hating?’

“Colleges constantly raise tuition, then the kids take out more loans, then the government comes by and pays those loans. Okay, so my tax dollars are supporting this Jew hating? I don’t think so.”

This weekend, Bill Maher tore into the Biden administration over Joe’s student loan debt ‘forgiveness’ plan, citing the antisemitic displays we have seen on campus for months as a reason to object. Bill also noted the fact that colleges keep raising tuition based on the fact that they know the government will keep supporting the loans.

Former Trump adviser Kelleyanne Conway was on the panel and she pointed out that this is nothing more than a political move to shore up votes.

FOX News reported:

Maher torches Biden’s student loan handout: ‘My tax dollars are supporting this Jew hating? I don’t think so!’

“Real Time” host Bill Maher took aim at President Biden’s latest student loan handout proposal, insisting his own tax dollars, by extension, will be funding the “Jew hating” on college campuses.

During Friday night’s panel discussion, while discussing the anti-Israel unrest occurring at top universities in recent weeks, Maher said he gets “so incensed” at how many of the students participating receive federal aid.

“When I read about the college loans… ‘Biden administration’s student debt cancelation will cost a combined $870 billion to $1.4 trillion. That’s a lot of debt forgiveness,” Maher said.

Maher continued, “Colleges constantly raise tuition, then the kids take out more loans, then the government comes by and pays those loans. Okay, so my tax dollars are supporting this Jew hating? I don’t think so.”

Fox News contributor Kellyanne Conway said the student loan handout was unfair, telling Maher “You can’t have plumbers and pipefitters playing for the student loans of doctors and lawyers.”

“I’m all for the government trying to help people who need it, but he did that as a political play and everybody knows it. He’s bleeding young people support.” Conway added.

Joshua Greene of Bloomberg, who was also on the panel, noted that if the student loan debt forgiveness was meant to buy votes that it’s not working. Young voters are still not supporting Biden by a margin that is comfortable for Democrats.

If you want to watch more of Kellyanne in the lion’s den, this video includes talk about the 2024 election and other issues. In one interesting moment, Kellyanne talks about Trump Derangement Syndrome and Bill then proves that he absolutely still suffers from it.

A great way to lower our national debt is to cut costs, as in defunding much of higher ed, identifing waste in government, purging unqualified people and Deep State. Defunding the UN, and cutting aid to all hostile countries.

There is a lot of deadweight which should be handled the same way as mergers & acquisitions. Brutally cut all the fat.

May 3rd: At the George Washington University Gaza Solidarity Encampment today, the protesters held a “People’s Tribunal” where they put President Ellen Granberg, Provost Christopher Bracey, the Board of Trustees, GWPolice, and many others on trial.

… students to want to hang their provost and chop the heads off of the Board of Trustees.

“Guillotine, Guillotine, Guillotine, Guillotine”

“Bracey, Bracey, we see you. You assault students too. Off to the m*therf*cking gallows with you.”

“As you already know where I am sending her [to the guillotine], her and her f*ckass bob.”

Also: Your tax dollars are supporting systemic anti-white hatred on campus, but I don’t recall Maher getting too incensed about it.

And in November Bill will vote straight ticket Democrat just like always. He talks a big game but he will not change his actions.

Colleges have become grossly overpriced daycare for young people, especially those who are unable to benefit from solid coursework. College for everyone was always a bad idea. College for poorly prepared students admitted for racial reasons was always a worse idea. Asking parents to overpay is exploitative. Requiring taxpayers to subsidize this travesty should, at least, bring some clarity: The elites and the political grifters, as usual, are taking good care of themselves.

Some of the courses of study are like summer camp projects. “Okay people! Today we’re going to study modern Marxist interpretation of Shakespeare; then down to the beach where we can make castles!’

If their loans are forgiven, will they get 1099’d and assessed income tax since the IRS considers forgiven debt to be income? I’d rather deal with the Department of Education.

Even worse, these types of so-called loan forgiveness programs end up spreading the cost of people that derive no benefit from the loan in the first place.
