Blinken: China Trying to ‘Influence and Arguably Interfere’ With 2024 Election
And yet…Biden and his 2024 campaign has embraced Chinese-owned TikTok despite signing a bill to ban the app.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken told CNN that America has discovered evidence that China has started attempting to interfere with our 2024 election:
“We have seen, generally speaking, evidence of attempts to influence and arguably interfere, and we want to make sure that that’s cut off as quickly as possible,” Blinken said when asked whether China was violating Xi’s commitment to Biden so far.
“Any interference by China in our election is something that we’re looking very carefully at and is totally unacceptable to us, so I wanted to make sure that they heard that message again,” Blinken said, adding there was concern about China and other countries playing on existing social divisions in the US in influence campaigns.
To the shock of no one, Blinken did not “provide a timeline for further action.”

President Joe Biden’s administration LOVES TikTok even though he signed a bill that could ban the platform over Chinese ownership. Evidence has emerged that China uses it to spy on people.
The ban would not happen until 2025…after the election:
According to TikTok, ByteDance’s Chinese founder owns 20% of shares, through a controlling stake in the company.
About 60% is owned by institutional investors, including major US investment firms Carlyle Group, General Atlantic, and Susquehanna International Group.
The remaining 20% is owned by its employees around the world and three of ByteDance’s five board members are American.
The Chinese government has also dismissed such concerns as paranoia and has warned that a TikTok ban would “inevitably come back to bite the US”.
However, TikTok is not facing an immediate ban in the US.
The new law gives ByteDance nine months to sell the business, and an additional three-month grace period, before a potential ban can be enforced.
That means the sale deadline would most likely come some time in 2025, after the winner of the 2024 presidential election takes office.
Biden loves to host young TikTok “influencers” at the White House. The Democrat National Committee paid Palette, a social media talent management company, $200,000 for paid media. It also received a retainer to cover expenses for the “influencers” to travel to D.C.
Biden’s 2024 campaign set up a TikTok account in February.
Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) is “worried about a mixed message” coming from Biden’s support of the ban and embrace of the app.

Always have, always will. This is international relations/diplomatic history 101 stuff. Blinken himself has done it. He can’t possibly be so stupid that he believes what his own words, which means he’s so stupid ;and lacking in understanding of other people that he believe the average citizen is that stupid. I always laugh at this nonsense. There is no Constitutional law that prevents non citizens weighing in or advocating for any election here: whether on social media or elsewhere. “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press;
No Law means No law.
And yet the Second Amendment has no citizenship limitation language, yet seems not to have applied to non-citizens until about three weeks ago.
When I was a volunteer NRA safety instructor, our chief instructor was a resident alien (old dude from Scotland) benchrest champion who couldn’t own any of the guns he regularly shot. His wife had to own them all.
It could be argued that when the word “people” is used, it refers to citizens. That word is found in the preamble; Article I, section 2 – who gets to choose representative; at the end, who choses delegates to the ratifying convention; 1st amendment – who has right to peacably assemble; 2nd amendment – who has the right to keep and bear arms; 4th amendment – who has the right to be secure from searches; and the 9th and 10th amendments; 17th amendment – election of Senators.
