“Cornell says pro-Palestinian student protestors violated university policy”
Writer Steve McGuire posted a thread about this to Twitter/X.
See below:
Cornell says pro-Palestinian student protestors violated university policy today and “have been referred to the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards for disciplinary action.”
They occupied the library and other spaces. Police were called to intervene.

gee … nobody called the police [actually, the police did nothing] when protestors occupied the engineering library in 1971!!!
Or Willard Straight student union and Barton Hall in 1969.
At that time the Engineering Library was on two floors. They have systematically shrunk the Engineering Library. Recently it reopened with 40% of the remaining floor space partitioned off and reserved for DEI activities. https://www.thecornellreview.org/new-engineering-library-shrinks-for-dei-program/
and …. the police did nothing when protestors occupied willard straight hall in 1969. I guess cornell cops have a history of doing nothing ….
I should read all the way through the comments before posting. But you missed Barton Hall.
If the police had intervened there would have been bloodshed. This is why the whole concept of concentrating thousands of foolish adolescents in a small area with no adult supervision has utterly failed.
Why is it necessary to post every tweet twice?
