U.S., Other Western Countries Halt Funding for UNRWA After Staffers Implicated in October 7 Massacre

Israel’s i24NEWS TV: “The United Nations’ controversial agency for Palestinian refugees on Friday sacked at least 12 Gazan employees over their participation in the October 7 atrocities.”

The United States, Great Britain, and other Western countries have suspended funding for the United Nations’s Palestinian aid agency, UNRWA, after several of its employees were found to be involved in the October 7 massacre of innocent Israelis.

“The UK has become the latest country to pause funding for the UN agency for Palestinians, UNRWA,” the BBC reported Saturday. “The UK government said it was ‘appalled’ by the allegations made by Israel.”

“The US, Australia, Italy and Canada have already suspended additional funding to the UN agency,” the UK broadcaster added. Finland also stopped its funding for the UN agency, news reports say.

The UN agency was forced to fire several of its employees after Israel provided evidence linking many of its staffers to the horrific crimes committed by Hamas and other Palestinian terror groups on October 7. “The United Nations’ controversial agency for Palestinian refugees on Friday sacked at least 12 Gazan employees over their participation in the October 7 atrocities,” the Israeli TV channel i24NEWS reported Friday. “Israel has long maintained that the UNRWA agency is embedded with the Hamas infrastructure of terror in the Gaza Strip.”

UNRWA’s complicity in Palestinian terrorism and incitement is well-documented. In 2018, President Donald Trump slashed all U.S. funding for the UN agency in the wake of mounting evidence. Soon after taking office, President Biden reversed the Trump administration’s decision. The Biden White House restored $235 million in U.S. aid to the disgraced UN agency.

The Jerusalem Post reported the measures taken by the U.S. and other Western nations:

The US Department of State announced it’s temporarily pausing additional funding for the The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) after allegations that employees may have been involved in the attacks on Oct. 7, according to a statement on Friday from department spokesman Matthew Miller.

“The United States is extremely troubled by the allegations that twelve UNRWA employees may have been involved in the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack on Israel. The Department of State has temporarily paused additional funding for UNRWA while we review these allegations and the steps the United Nations is taking to address them,” according to the statement.

Miller said Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on Thursday to emphasize the necessity of a thorough and swift investigation of this matter.

“We welcome the decision to conduct such an investigation and Secretary General Guterres’ pledge to take decisive action to respond, should the allegations prove accurate,” according to the statement. “We also welcome the UN’s announcement of a ‘comprehensive and independent’ review of UNRWA.”

Miller said there must be complete accountability for anyone who participated in the heinous attacks of Oct. 7.

Israel wants to oust UNRWA from post-Hamas Gaza

With the Israeli military purging Gaza of Hamas terrorists, Israel wants the terror-linked UN agency to be ousted from the Palestinian enclave. The Times of Israel reported:

Israel will seek to stop the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees from operating in Gaza after the war, Foreign Minister Israel Katz said Saturday, after UNRWA fired several staff members for their alleged involvement in Hamas’s murderous October 7 onslaught on southern Israel.

The foreign ministry aims to ensure “that UNRWA will not be a part of the day after,” Katz said on X, formerly Twitter.

Katz added that he would try to gather support for the move from the United States, European Union and other major donors to the agency, several of whom have suspended funding in the wake of the revelations.

“We have been warning for years: UNRWA perpetuates the refugee issue, obstructs peace, and serves as a civilian arm of Hamas in Gaza,” Katz wrote in a rare public statement on Shabbat.

“UNRWA is not the solution – many of its employees are Hamas affiliates with murderous ideologies, aiding in terror activities and preserving its authority,” Katz said.

IDF closes in on Hamas terror leadership in Khan Yunis stronghold

Meanwhile, intense fighting is been reported as Israeli soldiers fight house-to-house in order to take full control of the terrorist stronghold of Khan Yunis, where Hamas leadership is believed to be hiding surrounded by Israeli hostages as human shields.

“IDF troops in Khan Yunis conducted targeted raids on terror targets, including a weapons storage facility where large quantities of ammunitions, guns, and various technological assets were located” the Israeli broadcaster Arutz Sheva reported Saturday.

Earlier this week, IDF completed the full encirclement of the terrorist bastion, infested with miles of tunnels. Hamas on Tuesday rejected Israel’s offer for a ceasefire in exchange for hostages, leaving the military with no other option but to fight its way through.

The Israeli news website Ynet reported Saturday:

Israeli forces raided the home of an “associate” of Hamas leader in Gaza Yahyah Sinwar where they found weapons, the IDF said on Saturday without naming the associate.

The raid comes as IDF troops are advancing in the western part of the city of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, considered one of the terrorist organization’s most important strongholds and believed to be where most of the Israeli hostages are held.

Meanwhile, Commando Brigade forces struck terrorist targets in western Khan Younis. The soldiers targeted anti-tank cells and terrorists, destroyed terrorist infrastructure and located many weapons. In the last week, the Commando Brigade eliminated over 100 terrorists.

Soldiers of the special forces Egoz Unit raided a weapons warehouse in the area and located guns, cartridges, anti-tank missiles, photography equipment and diving equipment.

According to the IDF, elite Egoz Unit forces identified an anti-tank missile squad preparing to attack troops and opened fire at them. The terrorists fled to a nearby building which was destroyed after Israeli forces directed an airstrike on it, eliminating the terrorists. Many secondary explosions were reportedly detected as a result of the strike, indicating the presence of explosives in the building the terrorists had escaped to.

So tired of the twidiots that push propaganda for Hamas. It was reassuring to see from polls that they are the fringe and not more prevalent in the US.

The UN is a dangerous, destructive, monstrous organization that needs to be obliterated. The UN involvement in promoting and aiding the hordes invading America should be enough to warrant bombing all of its offices and arresting any UN personnel who manage to get out of the buildings alive.

The UN is a grotesque monster that must be done away with as soon as possible.

And then there is the WHO, which help perpetrate the COVID debacle.

The WHO is part of the UN.

      As I wrote, “grotesque monster”.

There is not even a theoretical argument for the existence of the UN. The idea of an empowered, peerless, competitionless entity is about one of the most retarded notions any human has ever come up with. Such an unnatural creation is guaranteed to grow in grotesque and dangerous ways. GUARANTEED. Just a passing familiarity with evolutionary theory or capitalist theory is enough to understand how crazy such an idea is. Or just a little bit of common sense illuminates the situation.

Even dictatorial governments have peers and competition from other countries, which is why most dictatorships have to restrict free travel out of the country as one of their main defenses. But with a peerless entity, there is no “travel out” to have to contend with. There is nowhere to escape to. Such an entity cannot be allowed to exist.

Just curious, if Israel wants to continue to engage with the UN and its kangaroo branches, it should file a complaint in the ICJ seeking an order finding Egypt guilty of genocide for failing to open its border with Gaza and admit refugees. Add S. Africa too. Plenty of space there for refugees.

The vile and evil U.N. has gone from giving moral, diplomatic and economic support to Muslim supremacists’, terrorists’ and Islamofascists’ genocidal attacks and vilification of Israel, to active participation in genocidal attacks, rapes and atrocities.

Don’t expect any substantive repercussions from the feckless Dhimmi-crats, over this. The Biden Administration’s “pause” in aid should be a total cessation of aid to the utterly corrupt, belligerent and genocidal Arab Muslim “Palestinians.”

The UN is full of garbage, It is much like Deep State in America. Kick UN out of America, they are a staggering waste of money. Repurpose the facility for trials of those who are involved in all the society destructing crap to which we have been subjected..

Vijeta, thank you for staying on the story, from 10/7 to now. Much appreciated.

Israel needs to disengage from the UN. It’s repulsively corrupt body beyond reform.

Here are a couple of truisms:

1) Any field of study whose name consists of the word “Science” preceded by some other word is not really Science.

2) Any organization whose name starts with the word “World” is run by zealots and despots who want to destroy the freedoms of all people and rule over them in a Marxist utopia. Those people should be hunted down and killed, not funded with taxpayer dollars.

The UN isn’t going away no matter how much it should.

However it is high time UNWRA was made an unpleasant memory and all what ever the f88k they do is taken over by UNHCR and then Palestinians are treated no different to any other so called refugee around the world.

Instead of helping Palestinians UNWRA has achieved the exact opposite, it has given them the false hope that they will be able to return back to Israel as the true “owners” of Israel. That will never happen.

It is cruel and vicious to continue to allow Palestinians to believe in the lie that they own Israel.

12 UN~Hamas employees got caught, but there are likely dozens and dozens of Hamas moles embedded in the UN body. And Obama/Biden know who they are.

Only after their funding was cut did the UN fire those people. Up till then the UN was quite happy letting their agency house terrorists. Far past time to defund all of the UN.

Yes, they SHOULD FIRE them! BUT, they should first announce “READY, AIM”!! The very LEAST they could do is turn them over to the Israelis for questioning so they can find out just how HIGH the INFESTATION goes!

Nah, they’ll probably get special visas and be sent to a nice Southern US city!

“The UK government said it was ‘appalled’ by the allegations made by Israel.”
Poppycock. What’s appalling is you pretending to have not known this for the last … at least decade? Maybe two? Most of us with our eyes open have known that UNWRA was not a refugee association so much as a logistical and financial supporter of the war against Israel for a long time. And, unless you’re blind and deaf, you did, too – except you turned a blind eye to it because you might lose your sweet graft otherwise.
