Hezbollah’s Top Terror Commander Eliminated in Alleged Israeli Airstrike

Slain terrorist Wissam al-Tawil “was one of the most important people in Hezbollah’s operations at the tactical level.”

Iran-backed Hezbollah suffered a major blow after an Israeli airstrike reportedly eliminated Wissam al-Tawil, one of the terrorist group’s leading operatives.

Al-Tawil, the 48-year-old terrorist who had a long history of staging attacks on Israel, was recently elevated to the position of the commander of the Radwan force, Hezbollah’s elite terror unit. His terrorist career was cut short on Monday when he was killed along with a band of Hezbollah jihadis nearly 4 miles from the Israeli border.

“Israel has killed a senior Hezbollah commander in one of the most significant assassinations since the war began,” The British newspaper Telegraph reported Tuesday. “Wissam Hassan al-Tawil, of the Iran-backed group’s elite Radwan Forces, was Hezbollah’s first senior military leader to be eliminated in three months of cross-border clashes with Israeli forces, adding to fears of a wider conflict in the region.”

Al-Tawil’s elimination is a personal blow to Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah. The slain terrorist was also Nasrallah’s brother-in-law, news reports suggest.

He “took part in the 2006 cross-border kidnapping of two Israeli soldiers that triggered the last war between Israel and Hezbollah,” the Associated Press reported, citing Lebanese official sources.

The killing of Hezbollah terror commander comes nearly a week after an alleged IDF airstrike in Lebanon eliminated Hamas’s deputy chief, Saleh al-Arouri, a key planner of the October 7 attacks.

Al-Tawil’s killing is a big setback to the Lebanon-based terrorist group, which has intensified rocket and artillery attacks into northern Israel, forcing tens of thousands of Israeli families to leave their homes.

“Wissam al-Tawil,” Maj. Gen. (res.) Tamir Hayman, Managing Director of Tel Aviv-based Institute for National Security Studies (INSS), wrote on Twitter, “was one of the most important people in Hezbollah’s operations at the tactical level.”

“In the past, al-Tawil was the perfect operations officer. Whenever Hezbollah wanted to act against Israel (usually after an operative was killed), al-Tawil would be sent to carry out the special operation: anti-tank fire, infiltration, and so on. Al-Tawil was promoted recently and in practice became the most important person in the Radwan Force from an operational perspective, a kind of de facto commander,” Hayman added.

The IDF on Tuesday also eliminated a senior Hamas terror operative responsible for recent rocket attacks into northern Israel from Syria. “Today, we eliminated Hassan Akasha in Beit Jann, Syria. He was a key figure responsible for Hamas’ rocket launches from Syrian territory toward Israel’s Home Front in recent weeks,” IDF Spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said in a statement issued on Telegram.

IDF finds weapons inside Gaza’s Islamic University

Meanwhile, the Israeli military is continuing its ground operation in Gaza, killing terrorists and destroying Hamas’s infrastructure.

The focus of the ground offensive appears to be the southern Hamas stronghold of Khan Yunis, where Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar and other terrorist commanders are believed to be hiding.

“Over the past day, IDF troops expanded ground operations in Khan Yunis and conducted strikes in which approximately 40 terrorists were killed,” the IDF disclosed in a press release on Tuesday. “In addition, significant terror tunnel shafts were located, as well as a variety of weapons, including twelve AK-47 rifles, four loaded RPG launchers, dozens of grenades, cartridges, and military vests.”

“The Israeli Navy also struck military posts, storage facilities, and vessels used by Hamas’ naval forces,” the military added.

Israeli soldiers on Tuesday discovered weapons inside Gaza’s Islamic University, an institution with academic ties with prestigious European universities.

Noting the use of the university for Hamas’s terrorist activities, the Israeli TV channel i24NEWS reported:

According to the Israeli military, guided by the previously received intelligence, the IDF troops raided the Islamic University used as an element of Hamas’s “terror infrastructure.”

Troops are said to have discovered weaponry hidden in the classrooms, including Kalashnikov rifles, cartridges, ammunition as well as Hamas flags and safes with “terrorist funds.”

Another weapon warehouse was located in the vicinity of the university with 100 mortar bombs, ready-to-use charges, grenades, combat equipment and maps used by Hamas.

I’m glad he’s gone to meet his 72 virgins
Poor virgins

But definitely see this War enlarging, and maybe it should, it’s past time… it has to end

Iran and Qatar have been brazenly funding and enabling sundry Muslim terrorist outfits around the globe for decades with total impunity and facing no substantive reprisals for their behavior.

Vicious reprisals against all Islamic states that fund and enable terrorism, are decades overdue.

Yes, it IS past time this war ends. And that is precisely what the IDF are about these days. They are systematically and relentlessly ferreting out the vile operatives amongst the mozzies and treating them very fairly. They have now gotten serious about eradicating them, breaking their hope and will to fight, and destroying their toys, occupied territories, ad their key operatives. Soon the grunts will begin losing heart and the whole house of cards will fall down go BOOM. Cannot happen soon enough.

The only good terrorist is one who lives on 72 Virgin Street, Muhammad, Gaza 60609

Whatever they dropped on him, I hope it raped him unmercifully for several days before finally killing him.

I hope the funds are divided up among the victims of 10/7’s families and the families of those in the IDF who have died during this operation.

This is the only action that these animals understand. Israel must unveil all the possibilities of their military to teach them all a lesson on what will happen should they ever dream of anything savage or destructive from this point on towards this spectacular country and her people.

And….. The MORE the MERRIER for every terrorist in the entire Middle East. Those thugs richly deserve everything they’re getting.

All terrorists and their supporters deserve death by fire, slow roasting preferred.

Oh there IS a lake reserved for the likes of these demonic creatures. I read about it in a book not long ago….. and the fires will NEVER die out, nor diminish. And there will be NO relief.

And Meryl Streep: “My conscience, my mentor, my God, Harvey – I mean Wissam al-Tawil.”

Seems to be a rash of sudden death syndrome happening recently 😂

Hat tip to the Israeli agents who are IDing and pinpointing the location of these terrorist leaders. I wonder how long it’ll take for some Hamas terrorists to start turning down promotions.

I do not get why we have heard nothing about flooding the tunnels recently. IMO that would lead to lower civilian and IDF casualties and 100% destroying the tunnels.

old news by now… and SO boring. Sort of like watching frog slowly simmer in a pan on the stove.
But this recent raid and haul at the University is great news….. It also drives the spike of “mostly peaceful” in a bit deeper, doesn’t it? I remember snickering when they started on a whinge about IDF raiding the hospitals.. how UN +humanitarian you beastly creatures are, that’s a HOSPITAL, how we gonna treat our people if you mess with it? How much military materiel was removed from that “hospital” anyway? Several truckloads of it.
IDF are almost daily surprising me by their conduct of this operation. Probably not yet time to break out the cake and ice cream, but at least make sure the ice cream is on hand in the freezer. Gonna need it for the celebration soon.

Things getting spicy at the upper echelon of terrorism.

And, the hits just keep on coming.

Meanwhile, in the U.S., vile crime boss and Dhimmi-crat dotard, Biden, visits a black congregation in Charleston and to applause from these gullible, useful idiot Jew-haters “of color,” delivers obligatory praise for the goose-stepping, Jew-hating Muslim supremacists and Islamofascists, and, their non-Muslim, Dhimmi-crat enablers and cheerleaders in the U.S., praising their “passion” and boasting that he’s pressuring Israel to withdraw from Gaza.

While this is good news, we should not kid ourselves that much of significance has been accomplished – it seems that there is always the next man up.

I love a feel good human interest story in the afternoon. Just gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.

Hama’s actions sure do seem to have some quite serious consequences for everyone around them don’t they 😂

Really don’t think Hamas thought through what would happen to them and their allies when planning this operation 😂

you mean, like He loved Jerusalem and dragged the roman army under Titus to lay waste to that city, the hope and centre of judaism for centuries. turning the whole place into a desolate wasteland, AND getting all His followers out to safety just before it happened just exactly as He said it would all come down?

What “assassination?” Targeting.

Hezbollah actively shelling Israel from Lebanese territory — acts of war. Command and control is a legitimate target during a war.
