Chinese Scientists Create Mutant COVID Strain That is 100% Lethal in Mice and Targets Brain

Last week, I reported that Dr. Anthony Fauci, then director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and a top presidential COVID adviser, failed to recall critically important facts about the origins of the pandemic policy or NIH-funded laboratory work that included gain-of-function studies at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China.

In fact, Fauci profusely defended his previous testimony where he stated NIH does not fund gain-of-function research in Wuhan. He repeatedly played semantics with the definition of gain-of-function in an attempt to avoid conceding that NIH funded this dangerous research. But, as we enter into 2024, he had to admit that the lab-leak theory for the origins of the COVID pandemic was “credible”….as I have been asserting since February of 2020.

Now the news is breaking that underscores the lab leak theory is likely the only explanation, as Chinese scientists connected with its military are experimenting with creating a coronavirus strain that is 100% lethal to “humanized” mice.

The deadly virus — known as GX_P2V — attacked the brains of mice that were engineered to reflect genetic makeup similar to people, according to a study shared last week out of Beijing.

“This underscores a spillover risk of GX_P2V into humans and provides a unique model for understanding the pathogenic mechanisms of SARS-CoV-2-related viruses,” the authors wrote.

The deadly virus is a mutated version of GX/2017, a coronavirus cousin that was reportedly discovered in Malaysian pangolins in 2017 — three years before the pandemic. Pangolins, also called scaly anteaters, are mammals found in warm areas of the planet.

All the mice that were infected with the virus died within just eight days, which researchers noted was a “surprisingly” rapid death rate.

On X, Francois Balloux (an epidemiologist expert at University College London’s Genetics Institute) called the research “terrible” and “scientifically totally pointless.

The preprint being referred to comes from bioRxiv, a free online archive and distribution service for unpublished preprints in the life sciences. The listed authors come from Chinese institutions such as the College of Life Science and Technology/Beijing University of Chemical Technology…and Fifth Medical Center of PLA [People’s Liberation Army] General Hospital.

The link to the Chinese military makes this troubling report even more concerning.

One of the Chinese researchers was Dr Yigang Tong, who trained at the Academy of Military Medical Sciences, a Chinese military medical research institute run by the People’s Liberation Army.

Dr Tong studied there between 1988 and 1991 for a master of science and then again between 1997 and 2000 for a PhD.

He also co-authored a paper in 2023 with ‘bat woman’ Zheng-Li Shi, who helps run the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV).

The preprint itself is disturbing, as it is clear the pathogen creates high viral loads in the brain as well as the lungs.

In this study, we cloned this mutant, considering the propensity of coronaviruses to undergo rapid adaptive mutation in cell culture, and assessed its pathogenicity in hACE2 mice. We found that the GX_P2V(short_3UTR) clone can infect hACE2 mice, with high viral loads detected in both lung and brain tissues. This infection resulted in 100% mortality in the hACE2 mice. We surmise that the cause of death may be linked to the occurrence of late brain infection.

Meanwhile, in Davos, the head of the World Health Organization, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, was challenged over the failures of the COVID-19 pandemic policies and the World Economic Forum’s focus on Disease X by Australian reporter Avi Yemini.

The challenge is needed, as Big Pharma is there to push the vaccines and controls that failed to stop the spread of regular covid.

Michel Demare, Chairman of the Board of AstraZeneca, told the session countries are not spending enough to prepare for the next pandemic.

“In OECD countries, the average spend on prevention is 3 per cent of the budget of health systems,” he said.

“Obviously, if you spend so little on prevention, you end up spending the majority of your budget on hospitalisation and only treatments.

“So there is a lot of change that needs to happen there.”

I would like to conclude with this chilling reminder that it is very likely the novel coronavirus first spread during COVID-19 because Chinese scientists were working with inappropriate biosafety controls for that type of virus. It is doubtful their focus on safety has improved since 2019.

Perhaps the Chinese military thinks it’s going to create a virus that will kill everyone but the Chinese, or that the Chinese researchers can create a vaccine in tandem with the super-lethal virus. If so, then I fear for all humanity. The mortality rates associated with the Black Death will be the best case scenario.
