USA Boxing to Allow Transgender Women (aka Men) to Box Against Actual Women

USA Boxing to Allow Transgender Women (aka Men) to Box Against Actual Women

“They must meet certain criteria, including declaring their new gender identity, completing gender reassignment surgery and regular hormone testing.”

The ongoing issue of biological men competing in women’s sports is about to enter the ring. Starting in 2024, USA Boxing is going to allow trans women to compete against actual female fighters.

What could possibly go wrong?

The Daily Mail reports:

USA Boxing to allow transgender women to compete against female boxers under certain conditions from 2024 after introducing new policy

USA Boxing has adopted a ‘Transgender Policy’, which will allow male boxers who transition to fight in the female category from 2024.

The governing body, which oversees America’s amateur and Olympic-style boxing, will allow transgender athletes to compete under certain conditions.

While boxers under the age of 18 must still compete as their birth gender, transgender fighters will be permitted to fight in the category of their choice.

They must meet certain criteria, including declaring their new gender identity, completing gender reassignment surgery and regular hormone testing.

Both male and female transgender athletes must have undergone quarterly hormone testing and provided US Boxing with documentation of their hormone levels for a minimum of four years following surgery.

Boxers who have transitioned from male to female must demonstrate that their total testosterone level in serum has been below 5 nmol/L for at least 48 months prior to her first competition.

Their total testosterone level in serum must remain below 5 nmol/L throughout the period of desired eligibility to compete in the female category.

Caroline Downey of National Review points out that this decision by USA Boxing does not align with all boxing organizations:

USA Boxing’s move to enshrine trans participation into its guidelines for the new year contrasts with the actions of some international professional boxing organizations to safeguard the female category and avoid subjecting its fighters to disproportionate danger.

The World Boxing Council announced in December 2022 that it intends to create a separate category in which transgender athletes can compete in order to protect the women’s division but accommodate men who have undergone sex changes.

Mauricio Sulaiman, the president of the WBC, told the Telegraph at the time: “It is the time to do this, and we are doing this because of safety and inclusion. We have been the leaders in rules for women’s boxing — so the dangers of a man fighting a woman will never happen because of what we are going to put in place.”

And of course, people on Twitter/X have thoughts about this.

In 2022, a female volleyball player at a high school in North Carolina suffered head trauma when a trans player spiked a ball that hit her. A volleyball. Don’t you think boxing is a whole other category of danger?

Who are the persons on USA Boxing’s governing body who take responsibility for this decision, and should come forward to defend it?

Persons who are in a governing body of pretty much anything who are making decisions that support the Left are NEVER held responsible for any consequences of those decisions. It is just not the American way anymore.

This is what “feminists” want??

To be forced to compete against gay men in sports. If not raped and mutilated by islamofascists.

Feminist seem to be quite alright with Israeli women being raped, tortured and mutilated. Have you heard any feminist groups speak out about what happened on Oct. 7th? I haven’t, and their silence speaks volumes.

“They must meet certain criteria,”

How ’bout being an actual female? Certainly, that can’t be too much to ask?

Change the rules in women’s boxing to permit a knee or kick to the groin & prohibit use of a protective cup.

If it’s OK for men to fight women then get rid of weight classes.

Trans MMA fighter Fallon Fox fractured the skull of a woman. This will be like throwing women to the lions in the Colosseum. Perhaps that is where our society is at?

It is interesting that they require the tranny to meet certain criteria including “…completing gender reassignment surgery…” and not having excessive (male) testosterone levels.

So at least they’re making them really commit to the idea, they can’t just jump in there and beat up some girls for the fun of it, they’ve got to chop off their junk first.

But in the end they’ll still have an unfair advantage because their bodies will have matured as men, with all of the muscular and skeletal advantages associated with that.

This. The criteria are stupid. It’s like pretending that a match between Muhammed Ali and a starving Ethiopian is fair as long as “neither one of them” has eaten in the past three days.

Considering that only about 10% ish of ‘transitions’ include genitals this is as a practical matter a significant bar. It does absolutely nothing to reduce the differential in male v female bone density or muscle mass leading to much more powerful strikes and the ability to absorb more strikes. Any woman participating is likely to be injured. I don’t see how these events could be sanctioned by a State athletic commission given their reluctance to allow older, punch drunk fighters into competition.

I don’t know why, but it seems like you always have to have someone die before people really start to examine whether stuff like this is a bad idea or not.

I read the headline to DW. She replied, “That ought to go well.”

Stop calling them “transgender”; no such thing. There is XX and XY (with rare exceptions). They are mentally ill males.

If “hormone therapy” is legal in sports now, then male athletes can use all forms of PEDs right? Double standards much?

As harsh and self-deprecating as it may be, the only way for women to stop this is to refuse to participate. I know the many hours women have trained to fight and what their goals are but this cannot stand. Money is the force behind any organized sport and if that is threatened, they will change.

We need some clarification on applying the new rules:

a. Does the referee deduct points from a fighter during a match for improper pronoun usage and misgendering?

b. Are trans fighters allowed to wear facial makeup and wig into the ring?

c. Can makeup be touched up between rounds?

In the name of safety and inclusion I’m taking up boxing again. Sure, I’m over sixty. But I boxed a little in the Navy. I can still put second rate fighters in the hospital

And who’s going to watch this mockery?

After NBA players get cut because they are too old, they can wear wig and play for WNBA?

I was out with this chic the other night. She said she was a fighter, but I never saw her box.

I continue to be fascinated by a culture that is determined to pretend that all this is perfectly ordinary and okay. We like to believe that people of today are smarter and better educated and will recognize logic when it’s shown to them.

Obviously ain’t so, and has never been so.

So, for fun, I am now on the hunt for some historical precedents of similar mass insanities.

Here’s a quick and lazy start…..but surely there are more and better examples.

They believe a lot of things that make no sense. Temperature MIGHT change a fraction of a degree in a century or two, this is a crisis. lol.

The “hormone testing” doesn’t solve the intrinsic and obvious problem, when men possess larger bone structure, muscle mass and strength, to begin with; traits that don’t disappear when these obnoxiously misogynist and fascistic trannies undergo “reassignment” surgery.

It should be fun to watch the reaction of the genuinely male fathers, husbands, and brothers of the genuinely female fighters permanently injured in the ring by these tranny “men”. The tranny “men” should avoid dark alleys.
.

I Look forward to seeing the betting line.

Real men love women. they don’t beat them

The decline and fall of Western civilization in one article.

1. Women boxing
2. Men boxing against women
3. The men must have their dicks cut off.

Start studying Chinese.

Not sure why women are engaging in combat sports in the first place but as long as they know those are men they are getting into the ring with then I don’t see the fuss.
Why people want to see women beating each other up is a mystery to me

Only a “man’ who is a wife/female abuser would even consider committing such a travesty. Any honest scientist, doctor or anyone with an ounce of common sense “knows” that a baby born a boy will die a man (of sorts)! You cannot actually “change” genders – the most one can accomplish is mutilating surgery and hormones throughout the rest of their lives, they may “look” and “sound” like their opposite gender, but they are still what they were born.

I don’t understand the fuss. This is private organization which women join voluntarily because they want to beat other people up. Any women who don’t like the new rules don’t have to join.

I don’t agree that men beating women up is any worse than men beating men up, or women beating women up, or women beating men up, all of which happen regularly, and all of which are fine if all involved are consenting adults who see some attraction in it.

And limiting it to post-surgery cases means this will not be open to men who actually feel like men and are merely faking in order to gain an advantage. There aren’t that many men who would want to take advantage of this policy, so it’s a way of appearing to say yes while really saying no, in most cases.

Maybe because violence against women disgusts me. Just spit balling here. I’m going to present a paradox. When I was forced into fighting women with pugil sticks I would destroy them. Most guys would go easy having been trained all their lives a man doesn’t hit women. If I’m unwilling to hit a woman, my pulling my punches might cause confusion. Ladies, you don’t belong in the octagon with me.

To be honest I’m not of military age anymore. You really don’t want anyone over 40. Definitely not over 60, as i am.
